I went here with my friend, she had been here before but it was my 1st time I got a Ham & Cheese with mustard, pickles & tomatoes. My friend got a HUGE steak & cheese sub & a smaller meatball sub. The quality is great, the prices are perfectly reasonable & the subs are awesome!
I have been coming here for over 30 years. Unlike most places I grew up going to. The quality of food still consistent no matter how long of a break I take. The line is long usually but worth the wait!

The upgrades made me giggle; the last time I was there, signs were handwritten, and you could see behind the glass. It hasn't changed too much because there's still mental math and a calculator and an ATM because it's CASH ONLY 🤭🤗

Ideal Sub Shop is one of Boston's true hidden gems. I had my very first sub here 36 years ago. The food was great then and it is still great today. All meats and cheeses are cut fresh to order and your tuna salad is mixed right before your eyes. The line can be long at times but it moves at a good p
Great subs! got a super sized steak and mushroom and it was big enough to feed 4 hungry adults. Well worth the price. Downside, Very small inside so you have to wait cafeteria style to order, then wait outside for your food. Best to call ahead.
Despite their subs being really good they Lack service. They do not answer the phone and they take long in getting you order ready.
This place is small and you can't dine! You can order on the phone and pick up or walk in..There subs are the best in Boston! Customer service is awesome and they prepare the cold sub infront of you...The prices are affordable, parking is not so great!

Love this spot! Its a staple on Dudley and their sandwiches are really good! I usually buy the Italian in full bread size. They cut the bread into many small pieces and I can enjoy over several days. The cold cuts, cheese, and bread they use are of the highest quality and the staff is super friendly
Very old school sandwich shop run by Cape Verdeans. They have CV specialties as well as cold and hot subs.
Ordered a steak and cheese.
Only downsides are: waiting outside since it's so small.
And white American cheese on the subs and no provolone cheese.
I love that they're super organized. The bread and food are fresh. Customer service is always on point. The price is reasonable and the food is worth it. I drive from Cambridge to go get a Cape Veridian tuna sub. I passed by a lot of sub-shops asking the way but this is the one!

If I could give this place more stars I WOULD!! This is a small gem in the boston community. It's hard to find parking but it's soooo worth it. The prices are fairly inexpensive. For a small italian sub(which is the size of a large sub) its only $4.50!!. They have small and large subs and my favor
This is my second go with them. It's best during the week. I ordered the roast beef, turkey, ham, and Swiss cheese with everything on it. I must say that they came thru! It had so much meat and dressings! It was dripping and dropping everywhere. Don't go if you aren't hungry 😋.
There subs are delicious. Not only that, this is the only place you could get two large massive subs for under $20.
Best deli in New England by far but Theres never been delivery or dine in like 4ever, just take out! Long lines due no stream lining, no ordering ahead. I think all their focus has moved to catering instead of hiring more staff! Service is as Cold as a Cold Cut!
