Great cocktail list, cool food menu, and the staff really takes the cake for the best thing about the place, especially J behind the bar. They really make you feel at home and they really make me want to be more of a regular there which I definitely will be!
I just love this Southie gem. It's a family run business - not the typical Southie chain restaurant- the food is ridiculously creative and so delish. A father and daughter pampering cornerstone on L Street, the local staff are experienced and so attentive, the menu is off the charts combo of what you crave and the unimaginable. The ambience is sooooo relaxing with trendy, calming edgy NY style music surrounded by bicycle gear accents. Sure, there's a ton of bars and eateries around Southie and Seaport, yet this the menu beats that beat, and you can really chill out vs. eat and run to beat the line. Ask for Alex. He's the greatest. Best cosmo. Crazy awesome Bloody Mary. Best brunch and soooooo relaxing before the week ahead.
Great restaurant and bar. Came in on a Friday after work for dinner and drinks. Slightly busy but not uncomfortably packed. Food was delicious and a good drink selection. Bartender was knowledgeable about the variety of beers they had available. Started with the sweet chili wings and got the hamburger pizza for an entree. Both were delicious. Enjoyable atmosphere, will definitely be back.
Clean & inviting always friendly staff. They have always been able to accommodate my picky request. Wednesday's trivia night is great.
Pleasantly surprised. Stopped in for appetizers and drinks. Had a good beer selection and the Buffalo Chicken Spring Rolls were good. Will be back for more.
Food was great, drinks were spectacular, the pickle martini in particular was a favorite. A welcome change from the standard "pub grub" you would find on Broadway.

Walking by the sixth gear recently one night , my boyfriend and I noticed a flyer for FREE comedy night. We love comedy so decided to book a table and grab dinner while there. The old saying”you get what you pay for”-doesn’t apply to the comedians on stage that night!!! They were fantastic!!!
We both raves about our meal-I got the appetizer chicken tenders with dipping Buffalo sauce. They were the real deal. Absolutely delicious!!! My boyfriend got some type of burger that he inhaled. We went back 2 weeks later where i ordered the same again(creature of habit) and they were again-delicious!!! He tried a different burger this time and again…inhaled it. Prices are so reasonable…throw in free comedy and boom-you’re golden !!!
Great team, solid beer / cocktail list and food. Had a great dinner and enjoyed coming back for a drink before last call. Grab the buffalo chicken spring rolls, they were awesome!

This restaurant/bar is wonderful. It's owned by a father and daughter duo, who are always friendly and extremely accommodating. I tend to have some friends that can be difficult to deal with, but the owners always make sure that we are enjoying our experience and time there. The staff and other patrons always seem to be friendly and laughing and having a good time as well. It's a great alternative to the other Southie spots. Do yourself a favor and give it a try!
The young lady running the bar was great! She was very friendly and accommodating. I had wings and a chicken sandwich which were very tasty. We can't wait to go back.
Beautifully great staff, and wonderful food. The geared burger was amazing and very well cooked and Christy made sure of that. Alex made the experience amazing and the black strap on the rocks is highly suggested if you are a rum drinker. I highly suggest making a stop at this hang out. PS cleanest and most aesthetically pleasing restrooms in Boston. A++++++++++++
My husband and I frequently visit this spot. It's great for small plates with a lot of variety and I really enjoy the rotating draft beers and wine selection. The staff is super friendly and the food is on point! Keep it up!

Sixth Gear is the place to be when you are in Boston! The food tastes amazing, the drinks are fantastic and the owners are phenomenal people! I enjoy myself every time I go to Sixth Gear. A Friend and I are staying near by for a few days during a trip. We stopped in here after a long day of driving. I got the geard up burger and it was absolutly amazing. We stopped in actually as a joke due to us being big car guys and saw a car themed restaurant and said we had to try it. It was fenominal and we more then likely will stop in again before we leave to go home.
