Everything was spot on from the moment we walked through the door and enjoyed our craft, tap cocktail, to the outdoor seating, to the homemade s'mores and apple pie (crust is remarkable). Owners swung by to share insights into the seasonal items on the menu, even the local organic ketchup that accompanied the best crispy sweet potatoes I've ever had. Winner, winner in my book was the cougar gold cheddar mac and cheese, but of course each had their own vote - duck wings, housemade marshmallows, scallops, and creamed kale were leaders.

From the vintage airstream to the first name calling by one if the best chef's in Denver. I feel tears for fears and get all must have a scone but what I really what to know is are those fungi picked every day? The bluemeal corn dog is better then any mid west or mid south fair aka carnie could ever render. The seamless staff has you wanting to order more and more. If I had the room I was going to have the Calamari streak. Smores looked great! Be nice or leave...

I might be so bold as to say this is the best restaurant in Boulder. Having now been for cocktails, dinner and brunch, every meal is incredible, they play with flavors really well to produce food that's fancy but homey and doesn't cross into pretentious. So good.

The atmosphere, the staff, the food, and drink are all fantastic. Whether you want great cocktails (the Beast of Bourbon is my favorite), or tasty locally sourced food, this is your place. Now that they are open for lunch, it's a win-win! I wish I could give 10 stars!

I waited for this place to open, it's only3 blocks from work! We sat on the patio and had scallops, salad, deviled eggs, and smashed sweet potatoes. And a great cab! We sat on the patio, it was slow but they had only been open a day, great food, the chef came and talked to us, we had a great time! Can't wait to go back and try the smores dessert and see what else they put out.

My boyfriend and I, since we discovered this place, have tried to go at least once a month and anytime we have friends or family in town we bring them here! We live in Denver and it's totally worth the 40 min drive to Boulder to enjoy not only the cuisine but even more importantly the whole experience!! Love love love this place!

Every time we go here, my partner and I cry a little and look at each other like, "How the hell is this so good??" Chef Daniel and his team put a lot of love into this beautiful, delicious comfort food. The vibe is relaxed and sweet, and the service is always amazing. I can't recommend this place enough. <3

Really enjoyed our Christmas Eve dinner at River and Woods. The chef delivered our first course (a play on poutine with braised short ribs and super tasty cheese sauce) and when he learned of an allergy that kept me from indulging with my friends, he made a small allergen-free side for me. My fiancé had the duck wings and I had the scallops for our mains... Both were fantastic. We'll definitely be coming in again.

Loved every bite at River and Woods. Andrew was an amazing server with a perfect read on what we wanted. Don’t miss mac-n-cheese or caprese—both out of this world. Well done Dan Asher!

Such delicious food (how did they get Brussels sprouts to taste that great?) and the coziest environment. Our server Anais was so professional and on top of things. Loved it here!

I had a pomegranate lemonade. Very good. I came during Breakfast/lunch. The French toast and pork belly Benedict was incredible. I was very satisfied. My server Caya took good care of me. I will definitely come back for dinner

What can I not say about this restaurant. We just moved to Boulder from Chicago and I can confidently say we will be regulars here. My only anxiety was what to pick because everything looked and sounded so good! We already have our next meals picked out. It is so charming and a little oasis off of pearl street. The moment you walk in your mouth waters. And then we had the best server ever. Anthony was AMAZING. He had great recommendations and we enjoyed talking to him so much. We are coming back soon for Anthony and the food! On to the food - we had the challah bread, dates, ribs, mac and cheese, brussel sprouts and a bison burger. Everything was phenomenal and my Manhattan was superb. I am currently in a food coma dreaming of my next visit. See you soon Anthony! We love this place! 😍

We made reservations here for Valentines Day. They had a small menu of specials for Valentines Day that included drinks, appetizers, entrees, & a desert, but we decided to order off their normal menu. For our drinks we ordered a bottle of the Cabernet which went well with our food. To start we had the bacon wrapped dates, which were delicious, we just wish the bacon was a little more crispy. For our food we had the Salmon Caesar Salad and the St. Louis Style Ribs. The salad was very good and it came with a huge piece of salmon but it was a little dry. The ribs were cooked perfectly. However, I didn’t love the sauce as it was a little mustardy. The Brussel sprouts and sweet potato that came with the dish were very good. We also got sides of broccolini and mac and cheese. The broccolini was cooked perfectly and very delicious with a nice garlic flavor. The mac and cheese had a nice crunch with a smokey flavor. Unfortunately we were too full to have any desert. River and Woods has a great atmosphere that’s worth stopping by!

Really eclectic fare, excellent cocktails, and exemplary service. The food is a little more "muted" (less way out there spicy and flavorful) than I might prefer but it is overall delicious and much of it is sourced locally.

I decided to come to this restaurant after a friend posted a photo on Facebook. What a magical find! We pulled up to a sweet looking cabin that was tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Boulder. I felt like it was walking into Narnia is the hostess lead me through The adorable restaurant, kitchen, and into the outside yard dining. You can either sit in the restaurant, the outside tent (which is more open, but warm and still has so much ambience), or your own private bubble with a heater. We chose the bubble when we made the reservation, but I think all of the seating options looked appealing. Every dish that came out looked beautifully prepared and the brocollini was seriously my favorite! Even though I’m not a big desert person, it was definitely worth getting the homemade s’mores! I felt like a kid again getting to cook it over the flame. We spoke with the chef and sous chef as we left (because you walk by the kitchen), and they had so much passion about their jobs. Truly an unexpected find and I can’t wait to go back during the daytime and try brunch!

Total hidden gem!! If you are in the area I would HIGHLY recommend making a reservation (Shout out to Nate our server). We stopped in for drinks and starters and we were not disappointed (Shout out to the chef and bartender who I didn't get to thank for the meal and drinks). If you are only on Pearl St. for the Mall definitely make it a point to head east on Pearl until you find this little blue house nestled between buildings. The atmosphere is amazing. While you may be traveling to Boulder to check off the things on your tourist list, the staff, food, and atmosphere at River & Woods will keep you coming back.

I went here with my kids and had a truly awesome experience in every way. My daughter is gluten-free and we were impressed with how much they could accomodate that restriction. All of the food was excellent, but in particular, the bacon-wrapped date skewers were out of this world. And we were happy to learn that their corn bread is gluten free - it was also amazing, especially with the maple butter! The short rib and pork ribs are also pictured and all as good as they look!
