LOVE the outdoor seating area on a nice day! Meat is good. Their staple bbq sauce is the thinner Memphis style which isn't my favorite but they have Texas style and another one. Friendly staff also 👍🏼

I've been going to KT's for 30 years. Memphis-style BBQ where you add sauce yourself. The Texas sauce is great! Overall, its C+ to A- BBQ. Some days its average and other days its great. The ribs and pulled pork are probably the best option. The sides aren't special, but I've had worse elsewhere. Beans, slaw, mac, hot-link, and red potato mashers are decent. Put them together in a "June Bowl" for a BBQ mash-up! Only place in Boulder I've found actual southern sweet tea.

I love KT's BBQ, and I grew up in Texas. Whenever I am back in the Boulder area (having moved away, sadly), I make a point of stopping here. Of course, I go for the hotter Texas-style sauce, and they make a point of having plenty available both at the counter as well as on the tables. This location on Arapahoe doesn't have any parking issues, like the one downtown (sometimes) does. By far my favorite BBQ place.

I have been a KT's devotee for years so am more than slightly biased. The food is excellent and the staff friendly. I highly recommend getting a June bowl, think of it as a BBQ parfait. Also, if you get the ribs, you have to try at least one unsauced. It is a true testament to the quality that you do not need to try to cover up or add taste to the meat. You can also get seasonal favorites such as Thanksgiving dinner or at one time they even had a green chili with smoked pork and corn that was fantastic. I do wish they would try burnt ends though as I know they would do it justice.

Food was great, music was amazing if you dine in. I had the pork "June Bowl", with the spicy vinger sauce. Beans and coleslaw to top it off. And a Mr Pibb to drink. Very filling in a nice way ☺️☺️😅🙂
