Reviews Beckett's Burger Bar

I always do delivery from Becketts but today I ventured out to this cute litte eatery. The service was excellent, the food was good, but the atmosphere was great. What I liked the most was that the TV's were on different stations: sports, antique road show, cooking network, news, weather. My server was friendly and went the extra mile and took a picture for me. I know its sunday afternoon in a college town bar, but is was a positive eating experience.

We looked for a local restaurant in the area that had a high number of reviews and a high average. A burger sounded good, so we figured why not! Ordered the cheese combo appetizer. It was delicious! Our server split the app on the bill for us too, which we've never seen before. We were exceptionally pleased with the app. Don't order mountain dew... It tastes wonky- watered down. I had the king after trying the peanut sauce on the side. The sauce was a tiny bit spicey. When trying the burger I could not detect the sauce at all. It may have been missing. However, the burger was still tasty. I choose to upgrade my side to macaroni and cheese. I would rate the pasta at a 4/5. I was pleased. My friend had the Mac and cheese burger with chips. He rated both as a 5/5. He thought the burger could be improved by mixing onions into the meat. Service was great. Climate for 6pm on Monday was calm and easy going. The biggest detractors from a 5 star rating was the mountain dew and the sauce on the burger. My total bill was $22.93 for half an appetizer, the #11 with upgraded Mac and cheese and a soft drink. We will come back the next time we're in town.

As good as any burger in BG. Good but not fantastic. Great waitstaff and cool location.
