My son is a personal friend of chef Corey, and we went there for my last night visiting Montana!! The atmosphere, the service and the food were excellent!! I had the chicken Marsala n was the best I’d ever had. My son had the duck dish n my daughter in law had the tuna dish !! All the entrees were superb !!
Wonderful place for a late leisurely lunch! The food and wine are spectacular. It was hard to choose from the delicious options on the menu.
Fabulous place to eat. Ambiance is great! Chef Cory is very accommodating with his menu if you have a picky eater. Homemade noodles are to die for! And there is NO WAY you should leave without eating the duck bacon! DELICIOUS!
Thank you for the lovely dinner we had tonight for our anniversary. The meal was delicious. My husband loved the scallops with spinach gnocchi and I enjoyed the spaghetti carbonara with side of caramelized brussel sprouts to share. The plates were so well prepared and presented. To top it off, a delightful tiramisu with two spoons. Everything was just perfect. Bravo!
We had dinner at Blacksmith recently. The food was perfection and our server was so knowledgable about the wine, as well as attentive. Great experience!
Incredible food from the roasted bone marrow to the sea scallops and gnocchi to the dark chocolate creme brûlée. Easily my favorite dining experience in Bozeman thus far.

The food was amazing and the staff were too. The atmosphere is intimate and edgy. The only problem is they only have access to one bathroom which is difficult, especially in prime times of the day.

My husband loves the Monday spaghetti with meatballs and beer special. I love the butternut squash soup and grilled Caesar salad. Last night we began with the calamari which is very tasty. I had the beets on greens with goat cheese crostini that was to die for! Yummy!
At last in Bozeman -- creative, delicious food!!! I moved to BZN from the East Coast 14 yrs. ago and tonight's dinner was quite simply the best food I have experienced here!! Forget the heavy pasta with pesto -- I can do that at home. ! This kitchen knows how to take fresh food and use it to its delicious best! Thank you for thinking outside the Italian box (though I love all things Italian!)!

I waited quite some time to try this place out. And let me tell you, it was more than worth the wait. Each and every bite was divine. The service was superb. You can tell this chef puts his heart and soul into every meal. Can't wait to come back!
I grew up Italian in New Jersey and I never could have dreamed of a place like this under Big Sky country. This is the only place I would even think of getting Italian from in the future. The calamari was cooked just so when so many cook it too long. The octopus just the same, being such a delicate dish I have not had such amazing octopus since my trip to Italy itself. It melted in your mouth. The risotto was perfect. The desserts were the crowning jewel of the meal. I was blown away and highly recommend this restaurant. I will be returning.
Great experience! Our waiter, Grant, made some great recommendations and was super attentive. The chicken marsala is one of the best menu items I've ever ordered. I highly recommend Blacksmith Italian!
This food! Oh I ate so much! This chicken marsala that I took the picture of is divine! Very tasty. We ordered mussels in wine sauce for our appetizer and homemade tiramisu! Everyone better eat here! Excellent service by our waitress Taylor!
Bozeman’s best. I’ve tried 5 different dishes and I would happily eat any one of them for the rest of my life. Damn near religious experience with the ravioli bolognese. If you want to experience food as an art form, this is the place. Well worth the prices. If you disagree, it’s probably because your life has been too good and you have no grasp on reality.
In all seriousness, I’m no food critic. Just a recent college grad, so if you think you know better, you might. However, this was the best food I’ve ever had. Not just the best Italian food. Please do yourself a favor and give it a try. Truly brings meaning to the phrase “food is life”.
