Went in as a group of 4 on a busy night. We were seated almost immediately, which was great! Ordered appetizers, came out very quickly. Placed our dinner order, had a little bit of a wait, but well worth it! We had calamari, penne alla vodka, and chicken parmigiana. Absolutely amazing!
First time here with friends and it was good. We all had good food and service. We will go back to try the pizza. We all had dinners and dessert.
I recently moved to Bradenton and decided to try this Italian restaurant for dinner. What great food and service! I had the chicken marsala, and my partner had the eggplant rolatini with penne. Both plates were excellent. Best of all, they have a 2 for 1 entree special, so it was a great deal! Very affordable! The atmosphere was very casual and friendly. I'll definitely be back. They also have a bar, by the way.

We asked a local about the restaurant and didn’t get a favorable review, but we thought we’d take a chance. The place was busy. There was a band in the back room, singing older music. Seemed after they were done the place cleared out.
The food was good. Portions a good size, not huge but not small. The flavor was very good. The chicken Marsala was cooked good. Chicken very tender. Sauce was good. A little runnier than I’ve had before. But it was flavorful. The penne with Italian sausage and peppers was also tasty. Not a heavy sauce. It was a great choice for the evening. The garlic knots were everything people rave about. No skimping on the garlic or butter.
Service was ok. Took a while for anyone to acknowledge that we were there, even though we were noticed. But, we get it. We don’t expect a lot of servers these days because we know people are short staffed and seem overworked.
We’d come back for sure!
Delicious! Scarpino’s may not look like much from the outside, but oh baby do you want to treat yourself. If you’re looking for amazing Italian food, this is it. Our party of 14 was greeted with a big smile, seated promptly. Our app and drink order was taken immediately. Awesome recommendations from our server, Jacob, who was great. Large portions, flavored exactly how you hope, and all 14 of us were served at the same time. Food came out hot! Everything about this dinner was fantastic. Garlic knots, fried zucchini, lasagna, fresh tuna salad, chicken parm, mushroom ravioli, eggplant parm, ziti, pizzas, and everything in between- yum!
We had a delicious home style Italian meal here in a pleasant outdoor setting. We don't often find veal but we were happily surprised to discover it on the menu. It was so tender that it cut like butter. The sever suggested a full bodied wine which paired well with our meal. All the staff are very pleasant. Thanks for a great experience Scarpino.
Saw a picture of the food on Facebook and I knew I had to try it. Great atmosphere. The Service was excellent and the food was even better. Big portions, great taste and a very good value. An added bonus was the 5 piece band playing dinner music. Met the owner and he was a gentleman and a very nice man. There was so much food, we have leftovers for another great dinner tonight. Keep up the great work. Cant wait to take my friends there next weekend.
Amaazing food! The whole experience at Scarpino’s from start to finish is great. Our waitress I was so friendly and kind. We met up with family and everyone said they will return to this place. The food can’t get better and the prices are fair for the portion size. I enjoyed the Spaghetti and Meatballs, my husband really liked the Chicken Marseille. Highly recommend!

Holy deliciousnessness! 14 of us stopped after a ball game, we were hot, thirsty and hungry. I think at fist glance Scarapinos my get looked over. Don’t judge a book by its cover. We were seated promptly, our server Jacob… top notch. Drinks right away, garlic rolls to follow…he got right on our orders. He gave awesome recommendations. Food took about 25 minutes to get but we were a big party and they brought it all out at once. Everything was correct and everything was amazing. Please stop in. Tuesday night is meatball night$1 ( to die for) and Wednesday is sausage night $1. Jacob heard me reading specials and I was on the mushroom marscapone ravioli. Honestly I want to eat it everyday of my life now. Lasagna yum! Chicken park yum! Eggplant Parm yum! Fried zucchini stick yum w/ marinara. Alfredo chicken pizza, shrimp scampi. Scarapino desserts chocolate lava, tiramisu, Spumante.
Jet a whole lot of yummmines and deliciousness. We will be back!!!! Service great , entertainment some night and outdoor seats.

I gave 5 stars because the food was excellent!! I arrived 30 min before closing and service was very delayed. I will go back because the food was wonderful!! I ordered spaghetti carbonara. They have fettuccini carbonara on the menu. I had them substitute spaghetti for the fettuccine. Also ordered garlic bread knots they were awesome. Definitely highly recommend and worth the drive!! Very authentic food!!
Might be the best Italian food in Bradenton - I haven't tried them all because of FOBD, the 'fear of being disappointed'. Going with the basics is how you can judge the rest of the menu and Scarpino's spaghetti with meat sauce is thick, rich, plentiful, and in my opinion, the best in town. Haven't been disappointed with anything on that menu.
Authentic Italian food, reasonably priced with large portions. Great friendly service (Sara). Overall positive experience and will definitely come back!
Drove from Orlando to Scarpino's Family Restaurant today because its that good. We really enjoyed the family hospitality that we were shown by Rocco and his wait staff. Great atmosphere, great food, and great prices. It's a shame we don't live closer because we would eat here 2-3 times a week. We will definitely be back!
Food was awesome. I had the cheese manicotti and my husband had a penne pasta dish with Italian sausage in a spicy red sauce. Our server, Celina, was friendly and attentive. We totally enjoyed it and will recommend it and be back!
First time for us! And a well deserved 5 stars. Our party of four knows good Italian food. We will return. Chicken Franchese so good. Marsala awesome too. Devin did a fine job as well.
