Popular. Not visible from Manatee Ave, Denise’s is back around the corner close to a Publix. I arrived not more than 15 minutes after they opened on this Sunday and the place was already half full. They have lots of tables inside and active outdoor seating. Being by myself, I headed straight for a seat along a lunch counter.
Friendly and fast with coffee, I immediately liked the place. I liked it even more when I saw the prices. While they did have several specials, I ordered a Sausage Omelet off the menu. Not surprisingly, the portion size was small and not very fancy, the cheese simply melted on the top. It was still good, food doesn’t need to be fancy to be good. It was ready quicker than I expected.
It is a nice bright place, decorated for Halloween that is coming in another couple weeks.

Awesome Place. You know that down home cookin' taste that just can't be reproduced in a modern fast paced home? Denise's has just that! The best biscuits and gravy this side of the Mississippi, friendly staff, I think they are mostly family with a few friends for good measure. And there's the grilled muffin. That is a new classic! The place is always packed and could benefit from expansion or another location. If you want to feel like a first class citizen and eat like a country boy, check out Denise's Cafe.
Denise's is my fav of northwest bradenton. Great food and excellent staff. I eat there most everyday.
Love this place! Great food st great prices with great service! Always check out the specials, like the Blueberry Cheesecake French Toast and our favorite, the bacon ,egg and cheese crossiant! But the folks there always remember us, have outside seating and a great sense of humor!
Very pleasantly surprised. Was a little rough to start. Seemed everyone there was a local regular. This was our first time. So just standing there waiting on being seated was a little awkward. But it picked up quickly with the kindest waitress. Didn't catch her name but on the ticket it had LM as the server, hope she sees this. She promptly took our drink order. Amazing diner coffee! And the coldest perfectly balanced iced tea. Food was out in a jiffy! And it was DELICIOUS! I love a good sausage gravy and they blew me away with theirs. Perfectly cooked eggs and potatoes. Can't wait to go back. So happy I found this gem!
Excellent food, service, prices and atmosphere! You feel like you are an important part of the family here! Indoor and outdoor seating is available, so bring your well behaved best friend with you to wait at your feet, hoping for a bite of the delicious food! It's obvious that the owner, management and staff are all awesome at what they do and take pride in every meal that's served!! You have to check this place out! You won't be sorry that you did!
A little hard to find as it is tucked in the corner of a plaza with just a “Cafe” sign marking its presence. Look for the Pizza restaurant Denise’s is just to the left. It has exterior dining which we prefer but smoking is allowed there so that was a non start for us. The ladies running the place seem to know everyone who comes in and they are quick to greet with a hearty and loud hello. A little to loud but it is well meaning. Reminds me of the “Cheers” sitcom, Hello Norm!
The food was great! My steak and eggs were truly the best I have had for breakfast so far in Florida.
Service is awesome, staff is friendly and food is great. Had steak and eggs Saturday and instead of a thin piece of leather like 95% of the restaurants around, I got a nice 1 inch cut of meat cooked perfectly med rare to rare. My wife and her family used to come here and now that we've moved back to Bradenton from Michigan were glad to have a good breakfast and lunch place to go to.
The service here was excellent and the staff were extremely pleasant. My order was served quickly and my server checked on me regularly without being intrusive. It was refreshing to visit a strip mall place, but be teleported into a quaint diner. A must visit eatery for home cooked food.
Staff wears masks and social distances on seating. Food is delicious and the prices are the best. 50 degrees today and the regulars sitting outside, too funny. Try it you want a great breakfast.
Frequent customer and was present when a reviewer below states that he had "very bad service". There are rules, sign in, and you will be seated accordingly. NOT once did this person sign in and follow the rules. When the manager later realized that the table WAS NOT going to be available HE spoke up loudly disrupting the entire restaurant because this entitled adult didn't get their way. To add, he later takes this dispute outside where it was very heated and proceeds to tell manager to "F off". I watch many a sporting even to know lip reading! Nice way adult way to solve an issue! If you didn't get your way, it does NOT require a bad rating. Just had to KEEP IT REAL as I was present. Many of us patrons were disgusted by his actions as an adult! #stop the bully mentality
Breakfast or lunch at Denise's will please your palate but not drain your wallet. Check the list of Daily Specials for delightful dishes and even greater prices that the regular menu. You will no doubt see many seniors here because they are always seeking good food at great prices and they find that at Denise's. Sorry Cash Only. That upsets some people but I kind of like it and the prices are so low most people have enough cash on them to pay for their meal and still leave a well earned tip for the wait staff.
Lively place and friendly staff!! Pancakes huge and the ham was best in town. Sausage and eggs okay. Bacon was like half a strip and denture wrecking hard as a rock...

Stopped by for breakfast . The food was absolutely delicious. The service was great and the servers were friendly. Will definitely go back there.
