YUMMY GYRO!! Very nice people. =) Went through the drive through to order, got my food in no less than 3 minutes. The gyro meat is moist and not dry at all. The bread is soft and warm. Not overly sauced, lots of meat, just the right amount of onion, really delicious surprisingly from a small drive through Greek place. I also got a small Greek salad, the dressing is good! Clean crisp lettuce and toppings! I was surprised. Highly recommend! And they have chilled wine!! ๐

If you are looking for Greek or Mediterranean food in these areas, look no further.
Orders are taken by the man himself with a heavy Greek accent, subtle complaining about his weight as a result of him wanting to test everything that goes out of the kitchen.
I had the dolmathes and chicken gyro sandwich. ๐ฃ
Shall be back next time I'm around here.
Gus Rigas one of the owner chefs is all about making you welcome and pleasing your pallet. Hayley Axe was our server attendant today. Gus raved about having the best staff.
We couldn't even finish our meals for the large portions. My husband enjoys a beer with his meal and tried one of a variety of Greek beers. We we're even treated to a complimentary Greek pudding.
Just excellent!
Edit: ... yesterday we've been there first time after Covid situation and we were happy to realize they are still there. A lot of things changed and thankfully some didn't - original owners as we've been told merged with somebody else, so here is the situation - the place lost personal/family touch feeling, we weren't able to eat food we ordered on the plates, they just give you food in plastic take out containers, which is very unfortunate...๐ The place now operates in the fast food style, but it would be good, if you still have option to eat from plates, when you dining inside... On another hand we are happy to say that the quality of food is still great, we enjoyed our dinner tremendously... the gentleman Chris, who was servicing us was great, very accommodating to our requests and needs... They have QR code by every table with menu, which we loved too...๐๐๐ (2021)
Ellas Greek restaurant it's our favorite Greek place... we ate in many of them from New York to Florida, but this one has no competition - from first impression of authentic Greek food, to cleanliness - you don't see places anymore as clean as this restaurant, also quality of the food is amazing, portions and prices are great and very friendly stuff and owner definitely going to have us back...!!! (2019)
My husband and I went to Ellas for dinner for the first time last night. The staff was very friendly & the owner himself took us on a "tour" of the menu. We tried two of his recommendations and we're glad we did. The food was great with nice portion sizes & very reasonable prices. I had the Pastitsio combo & my husband had the Mega meal. This place is pretty far west for us, as we live in east Bradenton, but we'll worth the extra drive.
Unbelievably good food.
We went out expecting good food. Instead we had our minds blown. Everything tasted so homemade, warm, and delicious, we were not expecting it and it was a really good surprise. Will definitely recommend it to everyone I know. Service is incredible too, the chef asked repeatedly for our impressions and definitely wanted to make sure we were happy with everything.
Prices are fair too, since quantities seem really generous.
Honestly perfect.
Welcoming atmosphere, warm greeting from owner and staff. Large portion and reasonable prices. More than just Greek fast food, it's food that would compete with any fancy Greek restaurants. Will definitely be coming back!
First time here and it was amazing! Great food as well as great portions. Most definitely will be back. PS. Friendly Service
Edit: The owner has done a great job of trying to make sure I have a better experience. I'm surprised at his level of outreach. Increased from 3 to 4 stars. I would go back when I'm in the area.
"Got a Gyro and it would be 5 stars if the tomatoes weren't gross from having a frozen and then thawed texture or something. They completely took away from a pretty decent Gyro."
This place is really good. Its always fresh. I had the Mederteran Salad and was totally blown away by the different taste in my mouth. Awesome.
Love the food here. It's always a pleasure going in here, they are so sweet and friendly.
I have a hard time ordering anything new because I have my favorites and we are in this area every year for just a short time.
I love the lentil soup and the falafel burger and the veggie plate.
My husband's favorite is the moussaka, Greek salad and Gyro's.
Everything we have tried has been wonderful though. Everything is cooked fresh, you can't go wrong eating here.
The Mediterranean salad was sooooo good! And the Greek white wine to go was a nice touch.
Went thru drive thru and girl was very pleasant. Area around it was clean.
Ordered the Gyros Platter with side of cucumber salad.
It was good,a little different from up north but would definitely go back.
Not busy at all.A good experience.
Went through the drive-thru yesterday and was pleasantly surprised! My husband and I both got the gyros and I got mine with a side salad. Great taste and good portions! I canโt believe weโve been driving past this place and never stopped in, now it will be on my list of go to places! Definitely will be stopping in again! Thanks for serving good quality food during this pandemic!
So delicious! We had the gyros meal, and baklava, well made authentic Greek food. Canโt wait to go back and try the pastitso and the lemon chicken and rice soup! And the spinach pie. Great place to eat in or take out. Friendly staff and awesome atmosphere!
Drive threw is not fast (like those golden arches food joints) Theirs is a little slow, since each order is made fresh. Not made hours ago sitting under heat lamps like so many places do. Food portions are plenty. You leave here hungry its your own fault. The gyro meat is the real deal!! (unlike many places use cheap imitated product). Owner is 100% Greek he knows what's he's doing he works hard to please people. And we know that is the hardest job in business. Pleasing the public. ๐
