We loved loved loved this place. Food was wonderful and the staff was awesome. The food came out super super fast too! If we are in Brevard again we will definitely be back.

One of the best deals I have ever had. I have always wanted to go here but thought it would be too pricey since most Japanese Steakhouses are pricey. I see on Urbanspoon that entrees are under $10 which I did not believe. To my shock they have a lot of entrees under $10 but I had the combo of scallops and steak for $13 and it was so much food I could have easily split it with the other person I was with. There must have been 12+ scallops in the dish and they were good sized ones with plenty of steak. the only complaint was the steak was a bit dry and overcooked but at this value it is hard to be upset.
They also have a free appetizer of onion soup that was very nice.
This is a review from a visit in December of 2022. We were heading to the restaurant across the highway which happened to be closed for maintenance. We ended up here.
The restaurant could definitely have used a decor overhaul. The two dishes look almost identical. I had hibachi pork that is made with bell peppers, mushrooms and onion. The hubby had the beef, chicken and shrimp with broccoli. Both dishes came with sauteed carrots and white rice. Morning really stood out with our meals. They weren't bad but not the best we've had. I would like to try it again too see if anything has changed.
Pleasantly surprised by Fuji Yama. I was expecting another generic hibachi restaurant, but this place is amazing. The food here is very fresh and tender. You don’t have to worry about eating anything dry. You can also substitute in other vegetables or other types of rice for no additional cost. The teriyaki sauce here is very delicious. It’s not overly sweet and has a nice ginger flavor to it. I highly recommend the teriyaki steak here, it isn’t dry at all like almost every other hibachi restaurant. Give this place a try, you probably won’t regret it.
Highly recommend dining here for delicious food at a low price. They bring you soup as soon as you sit down. The reason for a star deduction is they brought our entrees right after receiving the salad and egg roll appetizer. I would have preferred time to eat the salad ($2) and egg rolls ($2 for 2)before receiving my entree.
I replaced my rice with extra veggies to my chicken hibachi($8) for $1 and then a side of fried rice for $2.50. Such a deal! I should have not ordered the rice and just ate from my friend’s rice because it’s a large portion.
The food is fresh and they use high quality ingredients. They leave a bottle of white yum yum sauce at your table! It’s so good.
Plenty of parking in the attached lot. We saw many people getting take out. It’s a no thrills ambiance but amazing food and affordable.
We stopped for a late lunch, which proved to be a good choice. The waiter greeted us each with a delightful onion soup, complementary. Our questions were answered, the service was attentive, the food was well-prepared and tasty. We ordered egg rolls, beef with noodles, and shrimp with extra vegetables and sweet carrots. The serving sizes were generous with value pricing, $25 plus tip.
Food was really good. Love the onion soup . Fast service and very friendly people working there. Early dinner around 4 p.m. very few people in there. Got a parking spot up front.
Large portion of food for the money. Very flavorful. Meats are tender. Spring rolls are light as a feather, thin & crunchy, and the sweet chili sauce is mild. Delicious.

I ordered a salad with the ginger dressing, absolutely delicious. I also got the egg rolls and chicken stir fry. The egg rolls were delicious. I wasn't too impressed with the chicken stir fry but I also ordered it with no vegetables. It seems they didn't put any sauce on it either so I took it home and my brother thoroughly enjoyed it. The place was busy so it was probably me being picky as to why I wasn't impressed with my main course.
Always order out here and always have to be mindful of whatever is gotten. I used to work here so yes ladies and gentlemen they most certainly have roaches!!!! Also DO NOT and I mean don't get the mushroom soup cause I personally used to have to flick roaches out the bowls all damn night. But anything off the hot grill is ok.
Food was very good and large servings. Our waitress was very friendly and sweet. She had a very Happy smile. We'll drive from Hendersonville just to eat there again. It's well worth the trip.
I like the food but if they could get someone who can understand English and speak it it would help alot
