The best restaurant in the Cape. Perfect food and dessert is one of the many things that make this place a 11/10

We were a party of 4 for dinner. The menu selections were upscale and varied. The service was great. When the food arrived it was delicious. The only thing we would improve is the setting. The building, gardens and decor all need a refresh.

Delicious 5* dinner, service and ambiance! The perfect place for dinner. A must for visitors and locals alike. Chillingsworth has a charming and delightful garden location or eat inside the antique home. We sat in the garden room surrounded by geraniums. The food is sublime, we had gazpacho, foie gras, truffle risotto and grilled duck. Everything was cooked to perfection. We finished with Angel cake and sticky toffee pudding. Delicious! Our waitress was so kind and gave great recommendations. Even with a full dining room the food arrived timely and at a perfect temperature. She even joked with us and made us feel as though we were her only special guests. Don’t miss out on this slice of paradise in Brewster. If you only go to one restaurant this summer, it has to be Chillingsworth. We have already booked our next dinner and cannot wait to return.

My in-laws are here 61 years ago on their honeymoon. My husband and I thought it would be nice to come here during our vacation. Food was excellent and service was too. Mary was very attentive. Katie found us a lovely romantic table for two. Menu has something for everyone! Bolognese was delicious and my husband enjoyed this angel hair with lobster. We started off with heirloom tomatoes and burata and ended with the tri crem brulee! Very nice location for a special dinner!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. Every visit is a worthy experience. The food is a subtly new age take on classic dishes, utilizing local ingredients where possible. A must stop dining destination when in the Cape. Also, Fergus is the best!

Favorite Restaurant on the Cape. There are other fine dining options on Cape Cod but not chef and staff puts as much time, care, and attention into an experience like Chillingsworth.

We had our rehearsal dinner at Chillingsworth. It was AMAZING! They have some of the best food not only on the Cape but in Massachusetts! Nitzi, Anna, Katie and all of the staff at Chillingsworth were so very helpful. If you are planning an event here, take their advice; these people know how to put together a wonderful menu.

We sat outside on the lawn. The food was delicious and the waitress let us go at our desired pace. Highly recommend the beet carpaccio salad and halibut.

Old Cape Cod at its best. The bar side is our favorite, but if your in the mood for fine dining on the restaurant side you won't be disappointed. The food is outstanding! I recommend the pasta with lobster. Large pieces of lobster with delicious pasta. Also the salmon toast as an app was a pleasant surprise. Cheryl had a Cesar Salad and the crab cake. All very good!! The service is one of the best attributes of this establishment. Kathleen is a manager that will help out in any capacity needed which helps with speed of service. However everyone's treat is Kerry Lee, a waitress with the best smile, personality, and service you could ever ask for. Kerry Lee makes Chillingsworth a step above in your dining experience. This is a unique restaurant experience you should try.

I have frequented Chillingsworth on numerous occasions. The experience always feels like I am visiting with an old friend. I have eaten in the more formal 'House', and the food and experience is top-notch. The Bistro offers delectable food and cocktails in a less formal atmosphere. Both the House and Bistro are my favorites on the Cape, and conveniently located in charming Brewster. You must try both; you won't be disappointed by either venue, and the House dining is an experience you will want to partake of again and again.

Staff was amazing. Showed up for take out. Offered a seat on the couch and an old fashion while I waited. 100% will be back

We've lived in Brewster almost 10 years yet had never been, having been misinformed that it was the priciest restaurant in town -- also constantly packed, so they clearly weren't hurting for our business. But as other faves have become notably more expensive we finally decided to try it in honor of a friend's birthday and my wife's recent one. Unable to get a reservation in the main restaurant we happily settled for the Bistro, which was comfortable and charming; and since the start of the pandemic the need to simplify means it now shares the same menu. Everything was delicious and for the quality and uniqueness a great value. Ice cold cocktails, a small but broad list of by-the-glass wines, an expansive selection of menu items, almost too many dessert options, and again a quite broad list of after dinner libations. My wife, who has spent a lot of time in France, found the snails appetizer to be some of the best she'd ever had, and my gnocchi w/ mushrooms, peas & corn (drenched in butter ... ) was fabulous. I stuck w/ more apps for dinner -- a delicious if a bit overwrought grilled asparagus & avocado "tosti" and a decent buratta w/ heirloom tomatoes; my wife's pork dish was deemed smashing. For dessert a shared trio of mini creme brulees and angel food cake with blueberries and blueberry ice cream. Yum. I wanted to delve into after dinner drinks -- armagnac, yes, please -- but was too full. In the end 3 of us spent what two of us do at other faves in town. Looking forward to returning -- though probably not until the season dies down a bit; even their ample staff was a bit pressed to keep up. Alas, they do close December to May, but that still leaves plenty of time to partake.

Definitely great food and service, and comparably priced, but not quite the place it used to be. Back during the 1960s and 70's this was the place; one of the finest restaurants in the country. My birthday cakes were always one of their etherial fruit tarts. The food is still good but they have been gliding on their past glories for so very long that very few people under 60 actually remember them. There is a definite air of shabbiness here. Some outside maintenance would likely be appreciated by the neighbors.

Wonderful service, and very good food. We weren't as "blown away" by the entrees as many others are, but it was a nice dinner. Of the many items we tasted, the lobster bisque was our favorite and is what we'd most recommend to anyone eating there.
