What a classic find! A tiny Trinidadian shack hidden away in the suburbs of Westport, Connecticut. From the outside you wouldn’t think much about the place, but step inside and the aroma of curry and jerk spices hit you immediately! You can order pretty much anything and won’t regret it. I did particularly like the curry chicken with dhalroti (do try the dhalroti actually)! Ask for a side of the tamarind sauce as well! We were so floored with the food, we not only got repeats but also packed some for Home.

A taste of home I liked. I had chicken roti and beef roti as well as I bought aloo pie n phoulorie. The roti was good tasty n full of flavour . The aloo pie was made fresh which I loved and with channa no less yummy. The phoulorie however wasnt all that. With the sauce it was ok but u should be able to enjoy it by itself n I didn't. I will go back though cuz 1 out of 4 isn't bad..

If you want to have a good meal with large portions then Goodfellas Cafe is the place. It's great for families. The atmosphere is loud and lively dining. I had the pastrami and onion rings. They were great. I finished my plate.

Delicious food and great servings sizes! This is my go-to food spot whenever I'm in CT. My only recommendation is that take away food is packaged in containers with covers that can be properly sealed, instead of styrofoam boxes. Most of the gravy always spills out of those boxes by the time I get home :(

Another hidden spot in Bridgeport for good home cooked food. This is a small place not a great place to sit and eat i would suggest a place for takeout. Two people were on the counter to take order they were prompt and pleasant. I tried the double which is a roti with chickpea curry filling which was really good proper spices and taste. They had a proper blend for the chickpea curry this place has many Indian flavors. Stew chicken with white rice and yellow dal as an mini entree for 6.50$ which is reasonable and proper for one person's meal. They have strong odor of used oil at this place I would prefer anyone to order online rather than waiting there. Overall it's a must try place good food low prices.

Oh my goodness! Can we talk about how delicious and flavorful and authentic his food is! This place has been marked as one of my 'want to go' locations on my Google maps and I finally went. I mean it's a 25 minutes drive from home and was so worth it. I met the owner not knowing he was the owner initially. He just struck up some talk and through our conversation shared that he was the owner. And from there he was sharing advice with me since our small talk led to me sharing my business venture! He said his customers are like friends. And in that short period of time, our conversation felt familiar. Oh, and he has a bulletin board for businesses to share business cards/events and was allowed to add my information to said board. Got home and my order was missing a couple of things from miscommunication but was told the next time I come in, they would be able to fix it. But the food that I did eat, ugghhhh, so delectable!! I couldn't get enough and was sad that I didn't have the rest of my order, lol. And they did honor their word for the next time I come in to have things corrected. There was a young lady working the front this day and she was super nice too and we struck up a little conversation, too. I tried a new dish and picked out something for my brother. After I got home, the order was correct and we tore that food up! Can't wait to travel back down the other side of the highway for more food and conversation!
