This place is cozy and chic with their decor. It’s small but spacious enough. This definitely is a destination place.
The waiter was attentive and pleasant.
They definitely gave us everything we needed. The food was fresh, flavorful and memorable.
When in Connecticut GO HERE!

I've been here twice. Once for a catered birthday party. Food, service, and drinks were great. The second time was for Mother's Day. Could we get lucky twice? Yes, we can and we did. I ended up ordering a shrimp boil. Not only was it delicious but I took it for lunch the next 2 days. The staff? Awesome!

This was a disappointment. So the wait for a table was 30 mins, not unusual for any restaurant on a weekend. But finally seated and waited 40 mins for a waiter to come to our table. It may have been longer if my husband didnt flag someone down to ask if anybody would wait on us. Finally get a waiter who then says she ddnt know she had our table. We order drinks. They were no good. We order food. The fishermans catch and some king crab, snow crab and a batch of fries. The food comes out within 10 mins...... Not normal for fresh seafood. The fisherman platter consist of shrimp, cod, calamari and clam strips fried. Calamari was rubber along with the clam strips. Cod and shrimp taste like it came right out of the freezer at an Aldi supermarket and right into some oil that was too hot which gave off a burnt taste. Now for the Crab platter. The Mr. Crab sauce was no good. Burnt garlic, and type of spice or red pepper flakes in it followed the taste of the garlic. The butter used for the sauce taste like it had been sitting heating all night and to top it off it was salty. The King crab is 46$ a pound for over cooked crab. The snow Crab was another 26 per pound of once again over cooked and dry crab. Sitting in this bag of burnt sauce. The only thing decent were the fries and they came out later than the seafood which should have taken longer to cook if it was fresh. In total it was 160$ for the meal. Over priced, overcooked, overlooked. I will not be returning to this place. The people that come here seriously know nothing about fresh seafood nor good customer service. If you want good seafood go to Crab du jour. The drinks are not that good but the prices are better, good customer service and fresh seafood with great flavor.

If you are seafood lover this is your place. Mr Carb serves the best and fresh seafood. They have a wide variety starting from appetizers to Entrees. The boil seafood and feast for 2&4 ppl are also great. The Boil seafood has customizable options with spice levels and base sauce. The service is good but late though. Overall a great experience.

It was ok but I didn't like the put there own tip on the bill. They call it a large party but it was my wife and my three youngest kids.. so watch your bill.

Food has to much grease. I had the lobster roll and it just seemed average like the lobster wasn't fresh. It certainly isnt the best in the area. Fries are good if you enjoy cajun seasoning. Lobster mac and cheese was disapointing as it seems more of a soup with the cajun seasoning. The cajun seasoning seems like its the only flavor they put on the food.

Been meaning to try this place for a while. Finally did and it was a total let down. Way too much breading on the clam strips and hardly any meat. Too little lobster in the lobster bisque. If you are going to sell this quality, price needs to be cut in at least half. Will not return.

The food was good. Customer service even better! Wait time was pretty significant but we were able to dine in. This place is super popular. Next time I'll order for take out though. Much faster that way! Enjoy !

The server Crystal was very good. The menu was all over the place. Why chicken teriyaki on the menu. The crab and spinach dip was frozen and watery. The salmon was not blackened as per the menu. The bourbon ice was good. I will not be returning. I expected better as I wanted crab and seafood in general however Mr Crab was disappointing.

Went to Mr. Crab for restaurant week and it was soooo good! I had the calamari and linguini with clams, the portion sizes were huge for a restaurant week menu! The service was amazing too. Whether it was our waitress or the hostess or any other staff walking past they always asked if we needed anything and how our food was. Restaurant week was definitely a good way to try out the new comer to town and I will definitely be coming back again!

Not being familiar with the area, we took a chance from our GPS and are glad we did. The service was impeccable. The wait staff was attentive and accommodating without being overbearing. The bartender/host (Roy) was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He has a vast knowledge of his fine spirits and was able to make wonderful pairings to everyone within earshot. He also knew the background of all the products he carried which was interesting and pleasant. The food... The food was amazing. The fish was perfectly battered and fried. The oysters melted in my mouth. The calimari is perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside and tender, not chewy. The clams were very flavorful and tender. The shrimp was AMAZING. I'm not a big shrimp person but it melted in my mouth like butter, with beautiful flavor. The fries were wonderfully seasoned with a little kick. The snow crab was a treat, wonderfully seasoned and melt in your mouth and the baby back ribs were excellent. They were perfectly cooked and had great flavor on their own. You don't even need the BBQ sauce that they offer. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended. We will definitely return!

My husband and I found this place on google maps and decided to stop in. The waitress was awesome! The food was great!!! And I appreciate the owner coming over to ask how was everything and how did we hear about the place. I recommend if you are in Bridgeport check out Mr. Crabs ! We will definitely be back!!!

Atmosphere is inviting. Good service from the waitress. I don't usually send food back to the kitties I don't like it but my waitress noticed my expression when she asked how was everything. I told her I didn't like the lobster mac n cheese, she quickly got her boss over to my table and he apologize and remade it for me. It was awesome and flavorful. They went above and beyond to make things right. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will return for the service and commitment of the owner and his staff.

My honey and I stopped here for dinner, after taking a nice walk hunting for sea glass on the beach. We ordered a seafood boil, I had the shrimps and he had crab, both with the Mr. Crab sauce. Everything was delicious! Service was good, too. Only thing we’d suggest is to get better shell cracker tools, as the ones they have are a bit flimsy. Ask for the wood mallet, works much better. :)

I ordered lobster roll that came with fries with a glass of iced water, first I do have to say the fries were very tasty, the lobster roll was very small for the price I paid and the water was aweful, it tasted like the water was taken out of a toilet bowl ugh then when I asked for bottled water they offered me a $8 bottle of Voss water What??? Not a good experience sorry, but I do have to say the staff was very nice and friendly Sorry guys just wasn't good

Went for my daughter’s bday (party of 6). Waitress was on point (Tabitha). Wife had the crab leg boil (she loved it) my daughter’s and I got the seafood platter , shrimp was a bit over cooked. Gonna give them a second try, hopefully a different cook. Other than that, a good experience.
Gratuity added to bill.

My husband and I went here on 3/23 for dinner. It was wonderful. Staff quick and friendly. I had the Shrimp boil which had so much jumbo shrimp (1lbs) took 6 home. Flavor was delicious. Red potatoes were awesome. Corn for myself was undercooked but what I tasted was good. Just needs to be more tender. I have had chowder all my life, this was the best. Only other place equal is on Cape Cod. My husband loved the CT lobster roll. Bun done to perfection and loaded with alot of sweet buttered lobster. Beer menu was massive and different from standard bars. I had the Hurricane that was the bomb. We will definitely be back to this unique gem.

The service here is absolutely terrible. I was seated for 10 minutes without a waitress even coming up to ask if I would like a drink. We were here for my mother’s birthday since she loves seafood boil. This was my second time giving the restaurant a try since this also occurred about 3 months ago. The restaurant is never “busy” usually only 5-6 tables of people. I will never return to this restaurant, Boiling Soho in New Haven is better and has better prices anyway.

Love this place! Love Roy! Love the Brussels sprouts and rice pilaf! Cajun fries with Roy's OWN spice! Half wrapped to go for breakfast! Come visit! (they also serve up seafood, crabby parties that people really enjoy!) Tell Roy that Mary Watters sent you and you want to try his Cinnamon Toast Crunch shot!

Very good service. Amazing food. I had the CT Lobster Roll and the Calamari. Both were amazing. The Mango sauce was outstanding. Would highly recommend it.

the mussels were`t bad. If you want to eat dinner out of a pail with cellophane gloves try the mussels, corn, and potatoes in a plastic bucket with melted butter and all the drippings on the bottom of the plastic bucket. I would suggest that you hurry down here because I don't think you'll be able to in several months. Our waitress Crystal was terrific.

First time there....had the blackened salmon, was very good, would get it again. Service was very attentive. Only concern was heating system was not fully functioning yet, so it was chilly. Will definitely go back. Good value.
