I was hesitant at first to try a Mediterranean food restaurant in West Virginia....but I'm so glad we did. Very good Gyro meat. Went back to try a skewer and he gave me all three meats to try. I loved the chicken! Burst of flavor. The hummus plate was good and we added fresh veggies. Tried the baklava...went back and got another to go.... enough said.

Great food, fair prices, we were warned it may take longer than normal. We received our orders in what seemed like 5 min. No wait at all in my opinion. Awesome service also. Great people, great food. Thanks for everything.

A small place with great food. The falafel was fixed hot to order and was yummy. The hummus was also of good consistency with a great taste. I had the chicken schwarma spicy and it was great. I especially liked the pickled turnip slices. We stopped while traveling and will plan to make this a regular stop when traveling this way again. The service was friendly. There is free WiFi also, you need to ask for the password. The decor was also authentic though there was no music playing to complete the atmosphere.

We were in the Clarksburg area for an errand and tried out this restaraunt. We were pleasantly surprised to find ethnic food in this small town. The food was tasty and the staff were friendly.

Excellent food, we were unsure about falafel, so we ordered hummus and they gave us a falafel to try. Easily the best hummus ever and the falafel was yummy too. We liked the tabouleh. I had the beef shawarma, it was very good. One of my friends had the gyro and really liked it. The other had the chicken tender kabob and said the chicken was really good and tender. This place will get repeat business from me.

The owner is a wonderful person with a heart of gold and has an exceptional staff to go along with the restaurant as well! Congratulations on being voted the number one must try restaurant in WV! No lie, hands down the best falafel I have had—very flavorful and not dry or overdone. The hummus was tasty as well. I had the chicken shish kabob which was awesome and my husband had the shawarma; it was amazing, I wanted more than just one tasting bite. This is a meal worth the stop.

Wanted to try something new for my birthday. I figured there is no way i could pass up on a place with such high yelp reviews and even a buzzfeed suggestion right here in my own backyrds. Glad my family agreed to give this place a try.absolutely amazing food and very nice wait staff and cooks. Can't wait for my next chance to eat here. This is my new favorite restaurant in WV.

We dined here this evening with our daughter who is picky. She LOVED the hummus and the chicken/rice. The salad dressing was amazing, along with my husbands beef shawarma. I got the chicken with rice as well. So good! The staff are so kind, and Ali thanked us for coming in. The baklava is a must have as well. We have found ourselves a new dining spot. �

I've both eaten in and had takeout from Ali's on many occasions. The food has always been good and tastes freshly cooked -- not like something that came out of a microwave or sat under a heat lamp for hours . It is really nice being able to find something other than chains and fast food in this area.
The place isn't super cheap, but is very reasonably priced for the large portions you receive. The owners and staff have always been very friendly, and my order has been correct 100% of the time.
I wish that Ali's was closer to where I live. If so, I would eat there at least once a week. Hopefully this business does well, to encourage some more variety in this area.
The only thing I can think to improve would be a slightly larger menu, but I'd rather them make a few things very well than many things that are mediocre.

I wanted to love the place, but didn't. When I was deciding what to order, I asked the difference between the gyro salad, and Greek salad with gyro. The lady seemed annoyed that I would ask such a stupid question. I ordered falafel and tabouleh, as well as baklava. They added the ground meat kebab, which I did not order. It seemed to be difficult to take it off my bill, so I took it to go. Got home and guess what? No baklava. I will say that both the falafel and tabouleh were very good. Would I try again? Yes.

Ali’s food is so good! So many of our local restaurants are the same, but Ali’s is so different. Try the Basmati rice! The Kabobs and Gyros are amazing!
