I'm not sure I this place is new or has been here for years but this is a nice hidden gem. The restaurant is somewhat difficult to find, located near a hotel across from a Ford dealership. Upon entering we were greeted by a young lady and directed to our seats. The place looks somewhat small. We ordered and to our surprise the food was top notch. Thr Mexican tampiqueño was great as was thr Calambre. Waitress was young and inexperienced but due to this pandemic it's understandable, because nobody wants to work nowadays.

The wait service was very attentive and patient since it was our first visit. The resturant was recommended by the front desk person at the Brighton Best Western. Our food was hot and my fajitas were sizzling (singing to me in my book). The food was fresh, tasted excellent and the portions were appropriate. Two downsides. Expensive for what we ordered but forgivable considering increased food costs. Finally the place was extremely noisy. I couldn't measure the dbs but I'm sure they would have been close to triple digits. It was impossible to carry on a conversation. Part of the problem is loud kitchen noise and dish clattering, followed by loud music all topped with hard surfaces throughout the restaurant that allows the harsh noise to bounce around. If they could isolate the kitchen and treat the hard surfaces then the music wouldn't have to be so loud. Honestly the positives outweigh the negatives.
