Review Los Cabos Mexican Grill And Cantina - Broken Arrow

Tim Kasper
At the time of our visit , there was no wait to be seated. Our server was on point on everything. Very affordable and large portions. Definitely Recommend !

Verified good . Ate all my food and it was delicious. The side of guacamole was tasty . Shrimp tacos were good . Not up to the Pinnacle "Rubio's fish tacos" but solid . Mexico street tacos were nice as well .

Delicious food, beautiful atmosphere, and amazing service! If you go, ask for Roxanne! Food came out quickly and the portions were large. This spot will not disappoint!

I went with a group of 4 on a Friday night and it only took 10 minutes give or take to get seated. Our chips and salsa quickly followed. I order the Shredded Beef Burrito and it was amazing the beef had a Smokey flavor to it which was amazing. The rice and beans were great, and the waiter was really helpful.

This place rocks, I am a fan of Tex mex and this is just how I like it. Cheese enchiladas with chilly con carne topping. Cheese dip is perfect. Salsa is good but ask for a little habanero if you want to zip it up a little. Everything I have tried has been delicious from tamales, to enchiladas, to rellenos. Can’t wait to try more off the menu.

Great food n drinks, a little pricey but not bad. Really good service. If U like Mexican food it's overall just pretty darn good. Highly recommend!

Called to try to pick up a tab for my friends from Fayetteville AR, they went above and beyond to try to find them. Amazing staff. So friendly. I hope I have the pleasure of visiting! You deserve more than 5 stars!! Thank you!!
Betty Hood
The food is always good no matter what I order. The service was fast and courteous. All in all, a pleasant experience.

First have to mention that the view was really nice. Being seated at the tables near the water is a definite plus. The chips and salsa are good and having a warm salsa option (I believe by request) is a game changer. The queso and the warm salsa together may get you into trouble. My meal was of the traditional affair for a Tex mex establishment so nothing that can really be messed up or made overly well. That being said it was enjoyed and of good proportion. The only complaint I would have is that I believe a friend I was with had a side of quac added and was charged $3 which I thought was excessive. Other than that, quality experience.

Upscale Mexican restaurant with the best steak fajitas in Tulsa. You can order a single with extra sides and it's plenty to share with the wife. I prefer this location over the Jenks one. Live music outside during the summer is a bonus while ding here.

You might think we are eating a lot in the Tulsa area recently, and you would be right. The trips between OKC and Muskogee give new opportunities to eat in the area, and we are taking full advantage. Friday night, we were in the Broken Arrow area around 2000 and were looking for dinner. Los Cabos only had a 20 minute wait, so we decided to try it.

Exceptional service and food quality
Erika our server is very knowledgable and the manager on duty passed by our table several times during our meal . We are in town on business and this restaurant was recommend to us by a local . Glad we came

Every so often we will re try Los Cabos hoping for better flavor of food and it's usually always a let down. Their salsa and chips are great. As for the food it's pretty bland, for the price it should be excellent. There are far better and cheaper places to get Mexican. If your thinking about getting a to go order, don't. They don't really have a to go order pick up area or parking like most places. I felt out of place trying to get my to go order at the bar on a crowded Friday night.

If you have low standards for Mexican food then the cold drinks will keep you happy, otherwise its about the same as a taco Bueno. Good place to have beer

My favorite Mexican restaurant in the Tulsa area. Not matter where else I go, this place always has me coming back. I love their queso with beef and the chicken flautas. I would definitely recommend this place over Chuy's, On the Border, El Chico, Abuelos, Tres Amigos, Senior Tequila, El Guapo, etc. Really good Mexican food here.

Really mediocre food, and the noise level is crazy loud. We ate there the other night and I don't think we will ever be back.. They ought to think about trading quantity for quality. We ate at the bar the other night and one of the other patrons decided to move her stool into the aisle. The result was that everyone that went through the aisle including staff shoved me in the back. When we told management, she acted irritated and said she couldn't control what guests do. So I guess you can take your clothes off and run through the place naked and they would think that was fine. Anyway, there are plenty of other places to eat.

Wow. Just great.. Obviously the people who have reviewed are not in their right mind. It is really good tex mex food. Sure it might be a little noisy, but that's what you get when your resturaunt is so popular. The Mexico City Tacos are great, the fajitas are great, the freshly made chips and salsa, it's all pretty good food. It's a fun place with great service and is the only main attraction at the multi-million dollar shopping center Riverwalk Crossing.

If you like Tex-Mex you will like it. Nice place, good service, good food. Would recommend the cheese enchiladas and the beef taco.

Good Food, but very loud. I food was absolutely fantastic! Except for this nasty green look avocado salsa our waitress touted on us. It wasn't that great. But everything else was really good! The wait was long but we did go at 7 pm on a Friday night so we expected that. Was no big deal. Only Complaint: Music was Loud. It was nice to have a live band, but we happened to be sitting right in front of it, and they stayed there most of the time we were there. However when they moved over to the other side of the restaurant to play it was nice to hear, just faintly. The food is kind of expensive but well worth it!

Catering Problem. I ordered off of their catering menu for our family holiday celebration on 12/27/2014. When I called the catering number and spoke with the catering manager it sounded like I woke him up. So when we arrived to pick up the order the restaurant, in fact, did not have my order. We had to wait in the restaurant for them to get the order together only to find after we got home that we did not get the rice and beans that should have come with the meal. I had 12 hungry people at my house! They did not discount the meal or anything. I found the experience a huge disappointment!

Pros: Large bar area with comfy booths and highly attentive waitstaff. Ask for tomatillo sauce along with the salsa and chipotle they start with. Food arrives quickly with huge portions. Spinach enchiladas, soft chicken tacos, and tamales with rice and baracho beans all favorites.
Cons: Cold chips.

Formerly not bad - currently pretty bad. Once upon a time, Los Cobos was a fun place to get some pretty decent American/Mexican food. Not anymore. Oddly, they have been slammed the past few (disappointing) times I've been, maybe because they're about the only business of any kind left at Jenks Riverwalk. The food is greasy and unappetizing. Even complimentary chips, which warrant a low standard to begin with, are not very good there. After three or so times leaving the restaurant feeling like I'd eaten wet, fatty lead (that's plumbum for you old-fashioned types) and weathering the accompanying area postrema adventure, I vowed never to go back.
Road Warrior
Used to be better. Now poorly prepared and overpriced. Pork not tender, onions raw, beans bland. Ho hum. Lots of better Mex in Tulsa.
A. J. Jones
I have loved Los Cabos since they first opened but this may have been my last visit. They've changed the format of their menu and of course raised their prices once again. Forget about ordering from the bar those prices are ridiculous. Their are too many choices today to pay this for food that is nothing extraordinary.
Sherie Jones
This place smelled awful. The bar smelled, the restrooms spelled like sewage. We had a table but we were moved because a larger party was due in but has not arrived for prime location. The manager was so indifferent about the experience. Their grease trap needs to be emptied. Rat traps were visible by the front door. Very appetizing. We went next door to Charlestons and had an incredible experience. Keep in mind price was not an issue for us.
AWOLmomma
Good. Had lunch with queso, beef Chimi, and Carne Asada tacos. We were seated in a quiet area of the sometimes noisy restaurant. They had a milder salsa for me, which I appreciated. My husband's Corona was over-priced at $8. He liked his beef Chimi but was disappointed only ground beef was the only beef option. He would have preferred shredded meat. I had carne asada tacos which were very good. The pork was very tender & flavorful. I'll order those again. We also had queso but was disappointed it tasted like Velveeta. Over all, we had a good lunch though a bit pricey.
RonB
Just so so. My wife and I thought the food was over priced and just so so. Very over crowded and server was extremely busy only checking on us once during dinner I won't be back there is better Mexican food places in the tulsa broken arrow area to eat at and less pricey

Kicking customers out. On Saturday, February 22, 2014 our party of 8 was basically kicked out of the Los Cabos in Broken Arrow. After waiting about 30 minutes for a table we were in the middle of eating when they came around asking to take out plates. Shortly after that the manager came and basically asked if everything was OK like our time was up and time for us to leave. Then the person that checks on tables that need to be cleaned off came and spoke into her little microphone and said our table would be next. Then they sent a waitress to us asking if we were ready to leave. She basically paid us to leave by giving my daughter (that just paid the total bill of almost $200) a card worth $25.00 towards her next visit to get us to leave NOW. Great customer service. NOT!!!!! We were only there 1 hour.
Jon Baker
One of our favorites. I'll start by saying that I didn't care for the fajitas, _but_ everything else I've had here has been excellent. I usually order the shredded beef burrito, which comes with an amazing Anaheim sauce although they never serve it with this sauce unless you specifically ask for it. My wife loves the grilled chicken salad, and she's a picky salad eater. People are friendly and the atmosphere and decor is great.
Amy
Great food & service. We visit the BA location often, we love the food, service, drinks and atmosphere but the red salsa has entirely too much garlic. It's so strong we can taste it the next day....and sometimes the day after that.
April Hirsch
Best of the Los Cabos!. I don't know exactly why, but this is the best of all the Los Cabos, and Los Cabos is the best mexican food in these parts. I've been through all parts of Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona so I do have some say in mexican food at least as far as "tex-mex" is concearned. My favorites are their Spinach Enchilladas because they are an unexpected little slice of heaven on a plate. I've eaten at the other Los Cabos, and there is still something about this one that just keeps me coming back even though I'm much closer to the one in Owasso.
D. Mann
Pretty good stuff. We ate here the other night, and it was a good experience overall. Good Mexican Food, and Dylan the bartender was great. We will be back! The fajitas were very solid!
Maci
Chips are never too greasy. Queso is delicious, best I've had. Tortillas are not homemade but still good. The beef & shrimp fajitas are amazing. Chimichangas are great as well! Very nice bar & drinks. Great staff and atmosphere. My favorite place to eat!
Nicole Ramey
The Los Cabos in owasso and on the river walk have excellent food. The one in broken arrow is terrible. The tamales tasted like they came out of a can.
Derick Husong
The service is spot on, the drinks are amazing and the staff behind the bar are excellent I m a frequent visitor and usually only sit at the bar due to the ppl working there, they are funny as hell and all around great men and women especially Cortez ( damn OSU fans )... Love this place plain and simple.
Dan
I think the food here is awesome. The salsa is great. Service is decent, but kind of hit or miss. The food always comes fast especially for such a nice sit-down place. Its always busy which is a good thing in my eyes. Biggest downside is price, but its really not too bad for what you get.
DRGMIZZO
Dog food has more appeal.
I can not understand the attraction of this restaurant. If quantity, salt, and fat attracts a diner I question how decerning the individual is to good food.
Maybe, as a follower of Gordon Ramsey I expect too much. However, this restaurant/chain would die quickly in any part of the world.
Amytul67
Wonderful food and service. I have been going to the BA location since it opened and have NEVER had a bad experience with either the food..which is delicious...or the service...which is top notch. My husband and I go about once a month and enjoy it every single time.
Randy
I liked this place. Had lunch here today, I was impressed with the food! Good menu selection. I had the Cancun and it was very good. Great service!

Don't go for parties. Our kids arranged a big party for my birthday, and we were promised seats with a view. Not only did we not get that, but our group was split to 2 tables, bending around a corner so that the groups couldn't even see each other. We also waited a horribly long time to be seated when this party had been arranged with Los Cabos for weeks. Also, the place was so noisy that we couldn't carry on a conversation. The musicians only added to the din.

The food was pretty good, but the overall experience was a great disappointment. Will not go back again when there are better Mexican food choices.
Kristina
I love this place:)I always get the beef taco salad.mmmm, yummy!:D
Lacy
Love the food but 75% of time we get bad or below average service!!:-/
Dearelizabeth93
Favorite place for mexican. I have been to Los Cabos dozens of times. The food is ALWAYS amazing. I love the queso and salsa. I am always torn between the chicken enchilada and the steak faquita. Both are very good. The wait staff is ok. I have been and have seen the female staff in short shorts and it honestly made uncomfortable and i found it an inappropriate outfit. The wait can be a little long, it is always pacted, but honestly i think the food is worth the 15-30 minute wait. Just make sure you come early.
Ron McClanahan
With two locations one in Tulsa and the other in Broken Arrow I enjoy this restaurant it has got most of all the stable Mexican offerings with bold Tex Mex flavors. Their white cheese queso has really rich flavor they give you two different salsas one red and one more brown in color that has more of a authentic flavor to it. I order the Guadalajara Platter which has one beef, one chicken, and two cheese enchiladas, a taco, choice of beans and rice all of which are delicious. I usually have them hold the sour cream sauce and replace it with queso.
Con: If you are a burrito lover like me they do not have a decent burrito on the menu which usually is a staple in most Mexican restaurants.
Jeff Barton
Mostly love it.. My wife and I dine here often. We love this place!! We don't sit at the bar anymore however, because there is a bartender, Cortez, who has offended us many times with foul language, slow service, and ignores us when we talk to him. All the servers are wonderful, never had a complaint against them. The food is expensive, but we continue to pay the price. We believe it is worth it. Once I saw the manager, he was getting onto a server in the kitchen a little too aggressively. These are the only negative things that I have seen in the years we have been dining here. Hard work, great service, good food!
JW
Plus and minuses. I like the food, especially the seafood enchiladas & the fajitia chicken enchiladas, the red salsa is pretty good but not a fan of the roasted.
The drink are expensive, the beer pours are a little weak especially for the price.
Had 1 bartender that made us not want to go back for awhile with the way he treated other guests & employees in front of us, but the last time or 2 we did not see him, so maybe they took care of that.
The other waitstaff has always been very good.
Overall good place just a little $$$ & always super busy.
Kaylene R. Munson
The beef chimichanga was excellent and their margarita was the best I've ever had! The service was good too. I shall be back!:-)
Rok
Good but very salty.
Nic D.
One of the best meals I've ever had. Excellent food, great service. Our waitress was on the ball. The portions are giant and i have enough leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Well worth the price you pay.
Kristen McAdams
Love Los Cabos! Outstanding food and always have great service when I go there.
Ryan
I don't trust eating anything that I can still taste 2 days later. Their salsa does that to me and it freaks me out. It tastes good going down but the flavor gets rather old when it lingers for that long.
Lana Bible
I am a regular. I have eaten here almost every weekend for 4 years. I have NEVER had a bad customer service experience or bad food. While the food is expensive it is top notch. I really am floored by the number of bad reviews because for my family it's been great every single time. Thumbs up Los Cabos.

Great View - Gross Food - Rude Staff. My title pretty much sums this one up here guys! The first thing that truly aggravates me about this place is that they refuse to accept reservations after numerous comments from their patrons! It truly shows that they are unconcerned with the needs & wants of their customers. The atmosphere is great with such a spectacular view, but are you seriously willing to stomach the other many downfalls just for the view. The way I see it is you can go next door to Bass Pro & experience the same view without the headache.
Every single time I have been to this location I have left disappointed. The staff is rude & the majority of them are busy on their cellphones. The food is not authentic to me at all. I think that I can create something much better in my microwave. Service takes forever (especially on a weekend). However, I have been here on a weekday & service was equally slow as molasses. I would not recommend this tourist attraction, I mean restaurant, to anyone. Highly over-rated!

Incredible BBQ ribs. Los Cabos has truly great Mexican food but try the BBQ ribs. They are some of the best you will ever eat. The live music is always good. The service is great. Expect to wait. Enjoy the patio.
Jennsq
Bad food. over priced. went w/ 6 people, no one liked it. good location only.

If you like velveta then you'll love this place!. It's a lovely place. nice atmosphere, nice view. good service. but that where the good ends! the food is horrid. i can honestly say it's the worst attempt at mexican i've ever eaten (including taco bell and at least there the price works). The enchiladas had VELVETA in them!! NOT JOKING!!! There is zero authentic, or hel,l good tasting about canned sauce and velveta cheese. And 25 bucks. totally insane. Stay away if you have ever had good mexican in your life. and i live in tucson az and know good mexican when i see it. This isn't even edible let alone good mexican! consider yourself warned!
Jennifer
You pay for the location. Restaurant has a fun atmosphere but it is SO over priced and not authenic mexican food. Our food was brought to our table within minutes of ordering and the green chilli burrito was not worth $13. Meat was tender but even too salty for my taste.

My husband's dish was not very good either. Food is just okay. I would not recommend it or go back.
Tranz4m
Terrible drinks and atmosphere. PLEASE don't waste your time or money on this place.... it is awful unless you are a fan of non-authentic Mexican food! We came from out of town and as we came in to Broken Arrow we saw Los Cabos from the highway. We were completely shocked at how beautiful it looked and couldn't wait to try it because we are huge Mexican food fans. When we arrived we sat outside because there was live entertainment which was really nice. As soon as we sat down the live entertainment took a break and put on rap!! We ordered margaritas, but they ended up being terrible (way too sweet and no alcohol). When we went to go order something to eat we were informed that you can only order food inside or you have about 10 items to choose from outside. We ordered guacamole but it was absolutely terrible. Our total tab came to over $25.00 (way too expensive). ! Los Cabos is a waste of time and money.
Maurice Reynolds
I love los cabos, I had the cabo wabo platter. It serves 2 but I one all to myself. Mmmmm good.
Pawnman
Noisy and overpriced.. Very noisy and overpriced food. There are better choces in the area. We will not return.
Meredith Bradshaw
My husband and I had great service. It was our first time and the waitress did an excellent job. I'm not complaining about the service but I am complaining about the salsas and the food. Our server told us about all four salsas, we didn't like them and it was not good. My husband ordered the swordfish and he said it tasted more like ahi tuna then swordfish. My crispy taco was soggy and grosse. We will never go back! Horrible food!
N Hill
Here you pay for atmosphere, really good Mexican food can be found elsewhere for way less $$$$, great place to drink margaritas and watch the sunset but that's about it.
Tadd Moore
Hit & Miss Menu. The service is usually very good, and it's a very neat restaurant, but the menu is a minefield. I accidentally ordered the same thing there twice based on the description, and hated it both times. When I settled on the chimichanga, I finally found the come-back dish. Some of my colleagues are less picky and really like the place - and I like it as well, a lot, except for the fact that what you'd consider a safe "standard" isn't always safe here.
Amanda
Everything about it is horrible! From the second you walk in, the hostesses are rude and will not seat you until EVERYONE in your party is standing directly in front of them. I asked for a different table and they said no. Service was horrible, food was decent. When I asked to talk to a manager, they conveniently "didn't know where any of them were"
CTS
WONT BE BACK. Great atmosphere, horrible food. pretty much sums it up...
Matt
Good Atmosphere. It's fun during the summertime. They usually have a band playing and you can sit on the patio. As far as the food, it's always good, but a little overpriced unless you share an entree. My girlfriend and I share the combination fajitas and an order of cheese dip and eat for under $25. Warning, you will have garlic breath afterwards! Their red sauce and queso is good, but very strong on the garlic. I mix the red sauce with habanero salsa (by request only) which gives it a little kick. The service is lacking if you come with a large group, but you have that anywhere. If it's just two people, the service is usually excellent, especially if you sit by the bar.

Well, had planned on birthday lunch @ cabos. I called to make a reservation for 8 (something i have done a month ago). After speaking to 4 different people and finally a manager 20 minutes later i am told they do not take reservations. Really? I told mgr i was passed to 4 people and have been on hold for 20 minutes and now you tell me this??? Bottom line, mgr was rude would not take my reservation and hung up on me. I am stunned. Biz must be good at los cabos folks, cuz they dont need my party of 8. Brendan, i failed to mention my company takes up to 30 people to dinner twice a month. Compadres here we come!

Great Food. Great Service.. Love their food!

The food is better than Ted's Café Escondido. However, you will not get the free queso, free tortillas, and free sopapillas that you get at Ted's. You WILL get superior entrées.

I prefer the wait staff that works Mon-Thu during the day. I've been at night and on the weekends and while the service is never bad, the weekday wait staff is definitely superior.

Also, the time you spend waiting to be seated can be particular bad at night and especially on the weekends. So, on the weekends, plan on an early dinner (before 5:30) or a late one (after 8:30) to avoid the evening crowds.

I prefer "Americanized" Mexican food. Mexico isn't erxactly known for its cuisine. Hardly anyone vacations there with the goal of heading off the beaten path to eat authentic Mexican food and there's a reason for it. I prefer my yellow cheeses and flour tortillas. The Americanized version of Mexican food is tastier, hands down. So, the wannabe "foodies" on urbanspoon can spare us their food snobbery about authenticity.

Great Customer Service/Management. About a week ago, my husband picked up a carry-out order we'd placed via phone. He drove all the way home with the food, only to find that our side order of guacamole and fajita sauces (small guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo) were missing. We order food to-go from Los Cabos a few times a month, and this had never happened before. Disappointed, he unhappily drove back to the restaurant to get the rest of the food for which we'd paid.

Usually when this happens, the missing items are replaced without compensation for the fact that the customer had to drive all the way back to retrieve food that should have already been in the bags. If you're lucky, an employee might actually acknowledge the inconvenience. When this happens, we always cross that restaurant off our list of potential places to eat.

At Los Cabos, my husband politely explained what had happened, and the employee he talked to immediately got a manager. The manager apologized for the inconvenience in a genuine manner, and along with the missing food items, gave my husband a gift certificate for the inconvenience, even though he wasn't asking for anything. It was a textbook example of perfectly done customer service. We were so impressed by the classy way this manager turned a negative into a positive.

My husband and I have worked in the food service industry before, and were so impressed that somebody finally handled this particular situation the way we would personally. We were grateful to have a restaurant manager understand that driving back to the restaurant to retrieve missing items while your family either: 1.) eats without you, or: 2.) sits, watching their food grow cold, is not the dining experience you seek when you order food to-go from a restaurant. Restaurant employees are human and mistakes will happen, but when they do, the customer should be compensated for their inconvenience.

Well done, Los Cabos management. Thank you. We will definitely be back!

Poor quality mexican chow. The stuff off the grill will get you by if you are forced to eat here.

Great Mexican Food!. We went on a very busy night. But when is the riverwalk not busy. We had to wait almost an hour to get seated but the great thing about it was they serve margaritas and other drinks right outside. Be aware they are slightly overpriced. And warm chips and salsa right outside as well. After we got seated we had quick and efficient service. The food was great and I am picky about my mexican food. There aren't many light options on the menu but since it's a mexican restraunt I didn't expect there to be. I ended up getting the cancun platter and my hubby got a dish that had shrimp wrapped in bacon.
Jude
Set the Standard!. My favorite place for fajitas and margaritas!! Outstanding food and service!
Karen
Karen. We ate there for the first time on Sunday. Great fajitas! When I saw the pico de gallo, I thought 'Wow!' We thought it was really great. The fajitas were expensive but worth it. We took a lot home. We'll be back..
Mandy M
Awesome. I go there every time i go to broken arrow with my family. it's never been bad. the serivis never bad. although there is usually a small 5-10 minute wait. that might just be because i have alot of people when i go
MC2
Never had bad service.. This is close to home and I have eaten here countless times. Take a seat on the patio during good weather - some nights they even have bands. They serve good drinks (although a bit pricey) and we have never had a bad meal or bad service.
They are accommodating to specials orders and will happily switch things up for you. I love the Mexican Tacos and any meal they serve with fish. They serve up two types of salsa and one of them is roasted and served warm - LOVE IT!

Greatest Mexican. Wonderful Quesadillas! I tried the margaritas last week. Great!

Great food!! Great service!!!! I love Los cabos

Expensive but you will have a great time.

Not good. Nice place bad food. Save your money. Good drinks.

Great Food and Fun Place to Dine. They have a great set up in Broken Arrow. Los Cabos is located on a "lake", more of a pond. But the food was wonderful, Tillapia was awesome. We went outside and had a few drinks and they had a great live band. We enjoyed ourselves. I hope you do the same!

My Juarez platter was a standard mix of the Combination Platter I normally order. One beef tamale, one beef enchilada, one cheese enchilada and a beef tostada. For me the beef tamale was the star of the plate. It was made with chunks of beef stewed in a chile flavored broth, very nicely seasoned then rolled in masa but not too thick. Definitely not a standard tamale but very tasty. My next favorite was the cheese enchilada. The cheese had a very strong cheddar flavor and paired perfectly with the rich chile sauce they poured over it. This cheese enchilada with chile sauce at Los Cabos is exactly what I expect for a TexMex meal. The beef enchilada was also nicely seasoned and the tostada was piled high with lettuce and tomatoes to round out the food pyramid a bit. I also loved the borracho beans. They had a slightly spicy flavor and little pieces of sausage in them for added flavor. In the end I couldn't finish the whole plate but loved every bite. I have a few friends that are going to
Tasty Tulsa
This is what the persistant chanting voice is usually saying right before I head over to Los Cabos. It’s one of those places that leaves me craving for more – there are only a few places that I can say this about: Grand China in Tahlequah
