I love this place! Any time I'm in the area we stop in. The people are so sweet and the place is so cute! And dont get me started on the food...delicious! I always get the special...its always great! Its the only food that rivals my grandma's! And whatever you do don't forget to get a piece of pie! Best I've ever had! See you soon Kenosha Cafe!
Absolutely amazing food. I love some good country cookin, & this is definitely the place. Food is great, people are so sweet, & the atmosphere is so nice. My friends & I will go here a lot after we get out of classes in the morning to just hang out & eat some good food. It's a very chill place - very homey. The pies are the absolute best too.
I love this cafe! Its like going to grandmas sunday dinner with my family. They make you feel like you are family. We eat good home cooked food. And the desserts are the best in town. So if you want to eat at a good mom and pop kind fo place go to Burkes Kenosha Cafe but,if you want a restaurant atmosphere then go to a food chain place where nothing is made with TLC!!
Pie. I'm from Colorado, and had the pleasure of spending time with some wonderful people at Burkes Kenosha Cafe. The food is wonderful we have had breakfast there many times. The one thing I have learned from going there is ORDER YOUR PIE FIRST. It might be gone by the time you are ready for it. There is always a lunch special and the prices are very reasonable. I have been in the food business most of my working life so I understand some times things don' go just right but as for me the food has always been very good, and the service wonderful. Keep up the good work!! See you again soon.
Extremely Good Home Cooking and Great Staff. I love to eat out and love food, so I have tried places all over Tulsa and Broken Arrow while living in the area for most of my life. The food here is awesome! You can't find this kind of cooking at very many places. I love the atmosphere of a little cafe and they treat you like you are one of the family. I would highly recommend it for anyone who is wanting something better than what you would find at other restaurants. The price is really great for what you get as well. Great food, great atmosphere, great prices = An A+ place to eat!
After reading the previous review, I feel the need to come to Kenosha Cafe rescue. I do have to admit though I am partial to this place and my opinion my be biased so take this as you will. You see, the waitress that serves you...that's my mom. And the lady that cooks your food...that's my grandma. And you'll probably even see my sister's smiling face serving coffee or doing dishes, you'll know her because she's the spitting image of my mother. And every day of my life I have watched my mom and grandma get up at 3:30 in the morning so they can be at work before the sun comes up to start baking pies and cooking their daily specials. This actually started before Kenosha Cafe came to be. See my grandma used to own a little place in our hometown of Wagoner called Main St. Cafe until she retired. And my mom was taught how to bake by her mother when my other grandparents owned Kelley's Restaurant in Muskogee before they retired. My Grandma Kelley still actually bakes the pies for my aunt and uncle's place...the famous Baker's Catfish just outside of Wagoner. I remember growing up watching my family work their fingers to the bone. Always dedicated, always doing things the right way. When my sister and I were growing up, my mom would work all day waiting tables at the cafe...first Kelley's then Main Street. Then she would get off work and come home and clean our house and then make these beautiful immaculate meals for our family. Whatever we asked for we got! Homemade chicken noodles...meatloaf...even roast! And now that my grandma came out of retirement to help my mom start this little cafe in Broken Arrow, the tradition continues. The same food you are eating is the same food I was raised on, the same recipes that are so dear to our hearts and mean so much to us. When you sit at the bar, I hope you think of my dad...he's the guy that built it. And when you look at the silly pie wall with smashed pies dripping down I hope you laugh...because we did when we painted it. I've watched my mom and grandma work endless hours and pray over that little place and it's customers with a faith that's unlike anything I've ever seen. They are so grateful for their devoted and loyal customers who continue to come and not only support this little dream of my mom's but also get to really know them and become part of what is now a great big family. It's a family made up of many different families, a family from many different places...some small towns and some big cities. But in the end what matters most is that it's all about family. I hope that someday I can be half the mother to my children as my mom has been to me and my little sister. And I hope that her customers can see that. I'm not saying you have to like the food...each to their own. I just hope that you can appreciate my family for their hard work and dedication and the true love they have for the meaning of family. And if you do come by...get the special an try the pies, they're amazing. And don't forget to tip the waitress...she's the sweetest person you could ever meet and happens to be the light of my life. She deserves the world.
homemade Pies, homemade pies, homemade pies.
Try the banana split pie.
Good burger and fries. Casual atmosphere. Friendly service.
Best burger special. Come hungry. Make sure you try the pie.
Got an egg and bacon muffin and it was delicious. Didn't taste if old grease that you come across at some places. The pancakes are big. Service was good. The building is old, but it has character. I'll be back in.
Have been here a few times now and each visit deserves these five stars. Twice was for breakfast and once for lunch. Their breakfast is amazing! Perfectly seasoned gravy on the biscuits and crisp bacon just the way I like it! Lunch was just as satisfying! My burger was exactly what you would want when you order a burger from a quality diner. The meat was seared on the outside but not dry and of course the bacon was still perfect. My wife had the steak fingers and when they were initially brought out, the waitress informed my wife that the cook was not satisfied with how they looked and so she was remaking them. Wonderful experience every time and I encourage you to try it!
Wow!! Open early. Pancakes are phenomenal, bacon crisp and delicious, eggs light and fluffy, endless coffee. I’m full right now and on the wall at the end of the restaurant is a Pie List of has to be a couple dozen options. I’m new to BA but will be back again and again. It’s a must!
Love this place! Mom makes the best scrambled eggs. The girls are always kind and helpful. Quick on the refills to. Don't miss the hashbrown casserole! Love it :)😊
