I call this place a hidden gem. The food and drinks are absolutely amazing. The atmosphere and music 🎶 is so laid back and relaxing. Perfect date spot, girls outing or celebration!
The first time I was introduced to this place,I fell in Love, the Ambiance the friendly waiting staff and how can I not compliment the chef,The food is to die for..I already recommend Fish N Ting to a few of my friends and Fam...#Lovethisplace
My husband and I go to Fish N' Ting on a regular because the drinks and food are excellent. We like to sit at the bar in the back and hang out with Mel, who is the bartender. Mel is a professional and knows her craft well. Her margaritas will leave you with amnesia the following day. We normally tip Mel more than the wait staff because she's so attentive and knows her clientele. In regards to the service, as I stated before my husband and I dine at Fish N' Ting regularly. If you decide to go on a Friday or Saturday night, you should try to arrive before 7:00 PM, 7:30 the latest. The place becomes easily crowded around 8 PM and the wait staff has their hands full not because of a lack of servers, but because the food and drinks are just that hmmm mmmm damn good.
If you're going to Fish N' Ting for the first time, go on a Tuesday, Wednesday or even Thursday night and make sure to say hello to Mel.
Great establishment! Food is delish!! Staff is wonderful. Service is spectacular. Highly recommend!!
The food was excellent, better than Dunn's river in Long Island, waitresses were excellent, I highly recommend place
Absolutely a wonderful treat...the goat head soup was on point and the oxtail touch the spot......then had a couple of mixed drinks at the outside bar.....big respect to Mel the mixologist...JP and the rest of the team.
Unnuh tie me!!!!! The seafood Rasta pasta was !!!! All know mi mouth a wata thinking bout it!!! This restaurant is one of the best Jamaican restaurant I have ever been to an mi born and grow a Jamaica....
Love the food and drinks def a must try the oxtails and rum punch was yummy
I ordered Fish N' Ting on Grub Hub for the first time, I ordered: Chicken Rasta Pasta, Whiting w/peas n' rice, and Dumplings. I have to say that I was very pleased with the delivery time, the food arrived hot, the portion size was plentiful, but most of all the food was so delicious. I would most definitely recommend this restaurant. If you haven't tried them yet, you should do so....you will not be disappointed...
The lady on register was really nice and patient. Clear with explaining the wait time and pricing. The shrimp 🦐 fried rice was soooo good and fresh. My fiancé recommended this place and it definitely was a hit. 💯 💯
I ordered the salmon rasta pasta a while back. It was horrible , I was hungry and didn't find out until I got home. ( Takeout ) Called the restaurant and spoke to the owner the following day. She took care of me . Had my pasta remade for pickup. Yes this is an updated review. If you can take the time to complain you can do the same for a happy resolution.
I ran across this place while passing by. I saw a line of cars out front so I knew they must have delicious food.
There’s no dine-in experience currently, only take-out. Masks are required for all to-go orders.
The staff were proactive, positive and informative. They wrapped our food perfectly to prevent leaking in bags.
When I arrive home to eat, my food was amazing! It was flavorful, fresh and cooked to perfection.
When in the Bronx area GO HERE!
Everything is good it’s just I don’t think y’all know what spicy is. I got a Rasta Pasta and it’s just sweet, mind you I asked for spicy. Just let me know if I gotta say burn my nose spicy so I can at least feel a lil something 😂.
I'm a huge fan of Fish N' Ting! The food is always on point. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. I typically order in advance and pick up. If you're getting the Rasta Pasta or Steamed Fish they tell you it usually takes 15-20 minutes (it's really more like 30+ minutes).
The front is very unassuming and you could miss it between the auto-shops. When you go inside there is a small bar on the right and straightforward is where you can order food to go or get a table to dine in. There is also seating in the back that's outside (it's covered) with a bar area as well.
On this occasion, I dined inside and our group ordered the callaloo spring rolls, sweet and sour chicken, shrimp rasta pasta and seafood pasta. We also had two drinks. The food is always good but the rasta pasta is supposed to be spicy but this time around it wasn't. The callaloo spring rolls were really good and spicy. The food was also lukewarm which was a disappointment. The drinks were very sweet which is expected for what we got but it tasted like we were drinking syrup and not a mixed drink with alcohol.
Now for the service. The service here is always so spotty. I feel like it depends on the day and the person who ends up serving you. For this visit, the person who served us just wasn't friendly at all. She never introduced herself and it seemed the entire time she was avoiding us. We actually received great service from another waitress who was serving other tables.
Recommendations: Goat soup, chicken soup, red snapper (steamed) and rasta pasta's.
I'll still visit because the food is good but I would more than likely not visit for dine-in service again.
Great service. Just keep the bad rude workers away that can damage the business. Customers come first. Other than that, great food, great service. Very polite.
Food is delicious.....I miss the dining section at the back,it was my go to hang out spot even hosted a wedding reception there...I lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvve the food, rasta pasta is yummy.
At first when you see the outside you think it's a small hole in wall restaurant. However when you go in the back you feel like you're in a breach front restaurant. It's a nice atmosphere. The music is nice and the service was great. The food and drinks are wonderful. It was great experience and I plan to go back!
Excellent Excellent Excellent and I'm VERY picky. The customer service was surprisingly great as well. We know most Jamaicans are not Customer Service Friendly but I found everyone here professional and nice!
Excellent meals and hosts. For chilling out or formal dining, the variety will keep you coming back. Everything is presented well and the sides are executed perfectly. Spicy up your favorite dish or try one the homegrown drinks along with the entree. Anytime of day is the right time of day for Fish N' Ting.
I order through an app one day when hunger wz biting me. Lmooo and then I couldn't remember which app. I'll tell you this though, the food was so good that I spent several weeks trying to hunt this establishment down. Checking my receipts and emails for leads. I've now found them, thanks to google...
The service is always good. The food is usually flavorful, warm and delicious.
Currently opened to takeout but I am awaiting the reopening to dining. :-)
Nothing really special, food is fresh however the seasoning leaves a lot to be desired.
Definitely not like food from back home. Price is exactly what it should be you get what you pay for nothing more or less.
Ordered for the first time from Fish N' Ting we ordered Tilapia and Whiting and some other items. My husband and I enjoyed every bite. It was great tasting seasoned wonderfully the sauces were amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to any and everyone. Thank you for the amazing food. We are happy satisfied and full
