Sam's sea food is located on city island 🏝 a popular place for sea food lovers 😋 ,l have been going since the late 70s it is still a good place to eat.
I enjoyed my time the Music was great food was great. The owner made us feel welcomed definitely will come again.
It's no longer called Sam's, it's called RSL and the drinks are okay. The music is great and the atmosphere is good.
All I can say is WOW. I ordered their jerk chicken (breast) rice and beans (with some jerk sauce on the rice) and OMG! Honestly the best Southern American soul food I’ve ever tasted in my life! Their macaroni and cheese is also very good. Next time I go, I’ll try their fried chicken. The owner and workers are very nice. I love this place!
Update: Haven’t been there in a long time, so I decided to stop by to see if the food has changed. It has not! Do yourself a favor and get exactly what you see in those pictures along with a large lemonade and you will be set. Your stomach will thank you!
Had an amazing lunch at Sam's. Food was delicious. The jerk chicken, smothered pork chops, mac-n-cheese, greens, and yams were out of this world! Great service and drinks.
I personally didn’t get to try it but I ordered it for my boyfriend and he enjoyed it! Great price for a platter that will definitely fill you up!

I have been living in the bronx for 16 years and today I tried Sam's soul food for the first time. My god they did not disappoint. I ordered the BBQ Chicken with rice and veggies and my boyfriend ordered the Jerk Chicken with mac and cheese and rice. Incredibly flavorful and just the right proportions. I will definitely be back.
Was excited to have soul food (we don't have soul restaurant near our home)..the price was higher than expected and service was quick..the food was great and filling
Great service, Great Food, Great Atmosphere, Great Price, & Great Restaurant!!! I absolutely love it! If go from 11am to 4pm, they have the $6 menu specials and my Sage Steele of ESPN loves it!

I walked in there the other day and picked up my own GrubHub order from the outside of this place I had a good feeling because it looked very homey style and then when I had the smothered pork chops I thought I died and went to heaven they were so tender they fell apart in my mouth!! I’ve never had my pork chops so amazingly tender and decadent in flavor I see why this is an absolute favorite!! macaroni and cheese bangin’, Rice and peas delicious cabbage and carrot style vegetable delicious,. Collard greens yum yum
Been coming here for a while, always great food. Would recommend to everyone!
