This little place is amazing. Food is great and delicious. My wife is picky and she loved the food. We got the chicken satay, crispy wings and pad Thai. I also got a cup of Thai iced tea which was super refreshing.

Location: The restaurant is conveniently located for people commuting by public transportation. Just a short walk from the bus stop, past several auto body shops and random businesses, you'll find Tana Thai. Tana Thai is a cozy restaurant with several tables. We were a party of four and were lucky to have the restaurant to ourselves before other customers arrived. Service: Pookie, the server was attentive and friendly. Food: For appetizers, we ordered vegetable dumplings, fried spring rolls, and papaya salad (all delicious, by the way.) For the entrees- the fish with garlic and pepper was mouth-watering - it was lightly battered and fried. The shrimp and chicken pad Thai were delicious and flavorful. Their Thai tea was good, sweet, and creamy. As for the desserts, that is where they missed the mark. While the fried bananas were good and it's a popular Thai dessert, we also ordered the ricotta and pistachio cake and a chocolate temptation cake. Unfortunately, the ricotta and pistachio cake was hard and frozen and the chocolate cake was slightly frozen. Overall, the food was quite good and the restaurant was worth the visit.

If you are in the Bronx I would say this is a good choice for Thai food. I had the Basil Fried Rice with shrimp and fried calamari and I thought both were delicious. The portions are not very big though. The service was adequate and the atmosphere was OK. Overall a decent experience. I would go back again.

Great food, descent service. We were the only ones there. Atmosphere was cozy and warm. Honestly one of the best Thai meals I've had in a while. My wife got the fish and said it was great. I'd highly recommend this for a nice dinner date or if you're looking for a high quality exotic plate of authentic Thai food. Bubble tea made an excellent dessert.

My hotel recommended this place. The red curry with chicken was one of the best I have ever had! Would definitely recommend this place to others. Great customer service as well.

Looking from outside, you wouldnt expect the ambience to be as welcoming and warm as it is. Its my 2nd time eating any style of Thai food. The Chicken Dumplings... The way they were so fresh and tender!! Loved that minced chicken inside...Mmmm Thai Iced Tea.... An acquired taste. Its gonna be a NO for me. The Iced Tea and Milk pkus whatever else that is... Definitely didnt sit well with my taste buds. Crispy Wings / Calamari / Spring Rolls ... A PLUS! Duck Tamarind , Pineapple Curry Beef , Thai Pork Chops were all a hit. Not too sure which specific ingredients theyve used on the chops but I wasnt too big on the seasoning. Amaaaaazing service!

I've enjoyed a few meals from here so far. I've stuck to the vegetarian choices so far. The Kua Kai (flat noodles) were good. Today, I had the Pra Ram (veggies & fried tofu in peanut sauce) and Thai salad. Both were ok. I've had better. I also had purple rice and thai bubble tea. Total Price: $37. I find their food to be far too sweet rather than savory. I'm afraid to try their pad thai because I definitely don't like that thai dish sweet. The only dessert I've tried so far is the purple rice which I will NOT be getting again. It was WAY too sweet. I'm not used to dessert from Asian cuisine from any region tasting highly sweet like that. I haven't had the opportunity to dine in but they have a cute little space they utilize wisely and it'll be a nice local place to have a date night. I will continue to come back but probably not as often. They are a bit on the pricey side. I just hope they tweak their recipes a bit and calm down on the sugar.

This is one of those "hidden gems" that you really must experience to believe. From the outside, this unassuming place raises question marks; but once you meet the friendly staff and try the did, you'll be sold. This place is wonderful. Whether your aThai food enthusiast or curious to try something new, do your taste buds a favor and check out Tana Thai.
