I finally got a chance to try this place out after passing by hundreds of times. It's a small space with about 8 tables, The menu is pretty extensive with all of the Mexican favorites you would expect complete with all the various meats you've come to love from Mexican cuisine. I had a hankering for tostadas and My elder came with tinga, which is spicy chicken. Tostadas are dry tortillas loaded with beans lettuce tomatoes maybe peppers, cheese and your choice of meat. The best thing about tostadas is that you have to eat them fresh because they tend to absorb the moisture from the food and can break apart in your hands. You eat them like you would eat a small pizza and I really enjoyed these tostadas. The service was very good and this place has been here a while and does a lot of takeout. It was well worth the wait. Highly recommended!!!

I had the order of 3 handmade flour quesadillas (steak, carne enchilada, chorizo. The steak wasn’t chewy or tasted old, it was well seasoned, the carne enchilada was a little underwhelming but still tasted good, it reminded me of the steak, it was a little dry. The chorizo was good, they were topped with sour cream and cheese with a tiny salad on the side. They were a good size, a little thin but well packed with meat and had a really good internal melted cheese inside. This is a good Resturant with authentic food, and i hope to try more of their food in the future.

Food was delicious. You get enough food for what you pay for. Also the delivery guy was nice. Got the flautas and 3 tamales.

I went there only once last year. The female employee who I gave my order to was very nice, & respectful. The food tasted delicious as well. So yes, a five star most definitely.

I never do reviews but this place is too good. Best burritos I can find in all of NYC. Staff was super nice. Friends enjoyed the tacos.

This was probably one of if not THE BEST Mexican restaurant that I have ever eaten at. The food was beyond words, and the service was so friendly! I really like the scenery too, if you like small little restaurants with nice decor and heavenly food then this is your dream place! 😋

It is surprisingly hard to find good real Mexican food in New York. This place is great and I eat here way more than I should. I've yet to get something here that I didn't like. I think this is owned by the people that own the little Mexican grocery just up the street on the southwest corner of Kingsbridge and 231st. I used to order food there all the time, and the food is very similar. Very polite and friendly in both places. FYI, Street View still has a photo of Bagel Zone, but the place has changed hands twice since before becoming Taquaria Rancho Escondido.

Home style Mexican restaurant. Very tasty and authentic food; warm cozy environment. The service was good as well. It's a dress down place to hang out.

We order tamales for Christmas every year. Just had a delivery dinner for 4 and loved it. Yum. Better than others locally for a lower cost. Very reasonable.

Good spot they have your everyday variety of Mexican food. I usually do tacos carnitas and chimichanga de pollo. Good stuff. They take a little time prepping so make sure you call with the notion that you will wait anywhere from 45- 1 hour and that's on an average day.

Great food, good service. The majority of items on the menu are meat based, of course, but there are a few options for vegetarians: Vegetarian burritos or tacos, huaraches with mushrooms or huitlacoche, or beans and rice. Their beans and rice are animal free so the vegetarian options can easily be veganised by omitting cheese and sour cream. There are several good Mexican restaurants in the area but Mi Lindo San Miguelito is especially nice for a quiet meal in an unassuming space. Anyone who says that there are no good Mexican food in NYC doesn't know the city at all!
