Between vaughn and the rest of the grands nephews and younger generation, they are doing a great job filling in some big shoes. This place has all you can think of from sour sop Irish moss and plenty of protein drinks and powerful healing drinks herbs and information that only this place knows how to pass it on the way the ancestors did trust me they do it all. I highly recommend them for all your health food needs. I moved to NJ, but anytime I am in the Bronx I make it my business to stop by and get a cashew pep, veggie patties and banana cake to take home. Give them a try you won't regret it. They are a generational family business!!

Who got the now? Green Garden Health Food does. When I'm in the area I get the vegetable juice it's a mix of carrots, celery, beets, ginger, kale and apple. They also sell healthy items in the back. The items include teas, herbs, oils, supplements, food; even refrigerated items cheeses, drinks and ice cream. And its 1 block from the Gun Hill Station.
I love this place. For a first time customer you may feel a little overwhelmed with all the options. That said, I will be returning.

I absolutely love the fact that there are health food stores like this in the Bronx. Those herbal drinks keeping me going through the day and their tea options are excellent. Glad they sell real seamoss and not the fake stuff. It can get busy but they still do their best to get to you when they can. I highly recommend going here if you need to get products needed for proper body maintenance.

This is a great place for anything you need to help with getting your health on point. The ginger shots and Wheatgrass shots help alot the various teas they have helps with many things it's a really amazing place.

I have been living in the neighborhood for almost a decade now and I can’t frequent this place enough. It’s a beautiful space with warm welcoming staff. The juice is fresh and refreshing. Just the thing for a tired mama and baby to lighten up our day. :)
I drive all the way here bypassing several others. Great place. Knowledgeable friendly staff. Fresh smoothies/juices in front. There’s a shop in the back and they have everything from herbal toothpaste to vitamins. Make sure you stop by when you’re near
Amazing Healthy Option! I wanted a light meal to hold me over and thought a smoothie or juice would be perfect. So glad I found this place. Their vegetable juice was nutrient dense and filling. Love the shop in the back. Will have to find an excuse to come up here.
This is a great place! They make powerful drinks! They have a variety of supplements and things to make you strong. I love this store and so do all the other folks who frequent the shop. It can get crowded because it is the spot and has been for years. They used to be across the street but now have grown into a larger place. Brother George, the owner, is the king and a great man!! Now his son has taken over and he is maintaining the legacy!! Go there fellows and ladies to get your groove on and hopping if you know what I mean. The roots tonic wirh tiger is the Bomb!
I love this place, been coming here since I was 15 and I'm 35 now. I appreciate they're grind and passion for health. I love the bedroom bully, the cashew pep with carrots, wheat grass and so many other things. Check this place out if you ever need a picker upper . Brother Roy's son makes me feel like I'm at home every time I go there. Love these brothers and sisters , stay blessed.
Great environment, amazing products, and personable staff. Wheat grass ginger shots are my favorite item and the sea moss shakes. (Definitely got a gallon smoothie when I went to see Black Panther.) Haha =)
Only thing I would say is a negative is that it isn't open 24/7.
Amazing shakes.. especially the super shake !! I have been going to Brother Roy's Green Garden for over 40 years I remember the first day I walked into the store they treated me with nothing but respect they're a wonderful family and after all these years I can finally say they're my family as well
