City Island diner is a very well established, traditional diner. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The staff reflect this ambiance too. A great variety of food, prepared in the open kitchen; fresh and delicious. Be prepared, the prices are a little high too.
Great local diner experience. I went for breakfast and enjoyed eggs and sausages with hash browns. I also enjoyed an ice coffee. Great little diner on city Island. Big salad selection, all served in a stainless steel mixing bowl. My chicken Cesar wrap was served in a crispy wrap, full of fresh ingredients and tasty grilled chicken.
A throw back to a different time! Fresh food, homey atmosphere- feels like being on vacation. Makes me remember my best family beach vacation breakfasts from my childhood.

Very cute little diner! The owner is so very attentive and the food was presented well. My friend and I had breakfast omelets and were very pleased. Would have given it 5 stars but the fruit side that I asked for wasn't exactly what had in mind. I would have been ok without it.

Simple yet amazing. Ordered the cheese burger deluxe and a coffee. It was a simple cheese burger made juicy, delicious, perfectly cooked and reasonably priced at $10.
It's the only diner on city island so options are a bit limited. But it's typical in diner fare. Doesn't stand out but isn't bad either.
