My first trip was there tonight! I wanted crawfish but they didn’t have any yet- so i looked at the menu- decided i wanted to try the filet- i usually get disappointed everywhere i eat a fillet at- cause it just isn’t good quality meat-
So i order an 8 oz fillet with a baked potato-
I get there- pay for my food- and a lady comes out and says that he overcooked my steak- and reimbursed me some money to wait for a correctly cooked steak-
Now where can you go to get a correct cook steak? Cause it’s very rare that you go somewhere and eat- and your steak is cooked right! So i waiting- and i received my food and just got home and finished eating- and i have to say this is the BEST steak i have eaten in Mississippi- EVER!

Easily the best burger in town. And wait til crawfish season starts! Try the gumbo and crawfish cornbread! He's always been one of my favorite cooks, I'm glad everyone else gets to experience his food too!
My husband and I were very impressed with our meal last night. I ordered the grilled catfish, it was cooked and seasoned wonderfully. You can’t find many places that will grill catfish. My husband ordered a steak, the filet. He really enjoyed it and he is picky with his steaks. It was tender and had a good taste of being cooked on an open flame. We can’t wait to order again.

We had boiled crawfish and they were wonderful. My 5 year old grandson had the Ribeye, also wonderful. The best surprise was the “Real Hand- cut French Fries.
Our waitress was so sweet and kept checking to see if we needed anything . We will be back for sure.

Loved yalls seafood gumbo!! I'm not one to brag on very many eateries, but this place has it right!!! I would love to see some fried pickle spears though!!! I love fried pickles but not the slices, only spears!! Please try some and see how good they are!!

I always stop here on my way to Louisiana. Another great meal and the owner is an amazing person. Love this place.
My mom had a taste for fried fish and my daughter happened upon Shack 550. When we got there we were expecting two strips of fish a few fries and a couple hush puppies. Well we got two filets a ton of fries and yummy hush puppies!!! The staff was way beyond nice!! We met the fish fryer who was super appreciative of our comments. Just before we left the owner came and sat for a lil after dinner conversation!! We will definitely be back to try the shrimp queso! Thank for the great meal and friendly service.
Delicious food! Prices reasonable for generous portions! We had blackened shrimp, fried seafood platter, and fried green tomatoes covered with crawfish julienne. Everything is homemade. All were fresh and cooked perfectly! Service was good, and our waitress was very sweet and attentive. Seating is only outside for now on a pretty deck, but they will soon have indoor seating when the renovation is complete. However, there are fans, and we never felt uncomfortable. You should check it out!
