If you are in Brooklyn and don't eat here I'm sorry for your loss. The atmosphere is great. Friendly and helpful staff with quaint little tables. We started with a cinnamon roll that was literally from outer space. Moved on to some sweet and sour meatballs. Excellent. Then we split a box of fried chicken w one of the best biscuits I've ever had. Not like a traditional southern biscuit at all. Lighter and filled with flavor in every single bite. The fried chicken was also outstanding. Left with a slice of banana cream pie that was downright silly good. A true New York eating experience that just will leave your belly full and a huge smile on your face.

"Mixed Feelings at Pie&Thigh Brooklyn" My visit to Pie&Thigh in Brooklyn had its ups and downs. Despite having high expectations, the chicken turned out a bit dry and lacked the expected flavor punch. The cozy ambiance and dessert were a plus, but I hoped for a tastier experience. While it didn't fully meet my expectations, others might have a different take.

First time in and I will be returning. Customer service is exceptional, welcomed as soon as I walked in, looked at the menu and it was hard to select. I opted for the fish and grits which was amazing. Topped off with the mimosa, returned for the blueberry gin and that hit as well. Flavored with season and cooked with love, it was delicious. A total recommendation. (Sidebar no judgement I added brown sugar to my grits)

We arrived at 11 am on a Saturday. While there was no wait, the table space was limited. Most tables are outside, so plan accordingly. We decided to sit outside to check out the neighborhood. The area was full of pedestrians and bicycles, which was cute and quiet. The table and chairs were not very comfortable but the food made up for it. Their toffee doughnut and chicken biscuit was worth the trip alone. Add on one of their huge cinnamon rolls, and you have a brunch you will never forget.

It's pretty hard to find good Southern food in NYC and this place fits the bill. I am from Louisiana and the taste is authentic to what we have down south. The prices, however, are very different from what we have down south 😂 Cute little cozy spot in Astoria - would return

I haven’t been here in a few years as I’m not in the neighborhood much but we went back and to my surprise not much has changed. The chicken has crispy skin and is juicy. We got our food a little over 10 minutes after we ordered. The waffles aren’t the best but again, the chicken is pretty good as is the blueberry jam on them. The vegetarian option is good as well!

Came here on a rainy Sunday, ordered two chicken biscuit sandwiches to go and some baked goods. The turn around was very quick and the staff was incredibly sweet and helpful! When I tell you, I inhaled this chicken biscuit sandwich….it was a symphony of flavors, with each bite tasting better than the last. Highly recommend!

I’ve visited Pies n’ Thighs three times now and have enjoyed my experience each time. The food has stayed consistent throughout. Crispy and moist chicken, flaky biscuits, buttery corn and crunchy fries that are very McDonald’s-esque. They also have a dessert menu with pies and donuts that is really nice. My partner had the apple pie and enjoyed it. The crust resembles that of their biscuits so the same dough is probably used. This time around the corn, which is one of my go-to’s on the menu, was a little bland. The food will definitely leave you feeling full and ready to take a nap afterwards—The epitome of comfort to me! I understand what others say about it not being true southern soul food but it does the job, this is New York after all. I can say that the service does lack at times with quite some minutes passing before a waiter comes to assist you but everyone is always friendly come time. We always opt for the downstairs seating area because it’s nice and cozy whereas the upstairs is a little tight. Their outdoor seating is a nice option as well. Definitely recommend checking out this spot.

Delicious fried chicken and southern sides! 4 of us had brunch in this small but delicious spot. Seating is limited so come early, but the food is fantastic! The fried chicken was great and all the sides were delicious. The two downsides were that the staff forgot about us (it took 20mins to get our orders in), and the desserts are a little too sweet for our taste. But they were switching shifts and some might like the sweeter sweets.

Stayed at a hotel nearby and it was a chilly June night. Luckily we found this place around the corner and we were able to get a table inside. Our waiter was really nice, I got the cheese burger with fries and he got the fried chicken sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese. We also got the Mexican style corn. Not pictured is the margaritas we got, they were okay they tasted more like a juice mix with tequila in it. My burger was sooooo freaking good omg and the fries were like Mc’Donald’s fries but better. He enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich he gave it a 7.5/8 out of 10. We didn’t get a dessert cause they ran out of cookies and only had pies left but I definitely would come back for that burger alone.

We came here for a quick brunch before we started our Christmas shopping. We got here early but, there was still a wait. We ordered a chicken biscuit ($10.50) and it was so delicious. The chicken was juicy and tender. The biscuit was flavorful and the butter and hot sauce took it to the next level. While, the chicken was tasty, I had better fried chicken at other places. I feel that while the crust was tasty, it lacked flavor and spice. However, I am not saying the chicken isn't good. It's tasty and I would come back for it but, I wouldn't sit outside nor wait in the freezing cold as they had limited heat lamps for it. The chicken could have also been cut a bit better. A few bites for my friend had no meat and they had leftover biscuit. I also got the butter pecan crunch donut ($4.50). It was tasty and delicious. It wasn't overly sweet and I could see myself eating it with a side of vanilla ice cream topped with caramel. The service was decent. We had to wait a few minutes to get seated and get our order taken. However, when it came time to pay and leave, well the waitress was nowhere to be found. Overall, it was a good experience and I would stop by if I was in the area.

Wow we were probably lucky because our waiter was awesome! The service was great and speedy. Food quality is high. Our biscuits arrived hot and crispy. I can’t believe I was able to try a vegan chick’n biscuit. The bourbon butter pecan pie slice is probably a 6.5/10. But all else, and our nice and thoughtful waiter who checked in with us constantly and gave us iced tap water to go is super thoughtful. Made our experience 10/10.
