French Louie - Brooklyn - Photo album

Much hyped on the socials but it delivers. The venue boasts a wall of tables for two with banquet seating and an outdoor dining space. The service is attentive without hovering. You're greeted by the cheery barstaff then the host guides you to your table. The menu is small but the execution is nea
Nice French bistro with beautiful interior and good service. The food was ok but considering the prices, which are decently above average for a bistro, you expect something more. A portion of oysters were very small. But Paris Brest and cocktails were really delicious. Probably will not come bac
French Louie is perfect for a special occasion, casual brunch or a quick drink. Their food is special without being fussy and they have consistent staples with a few rotating, seasonal options. Last night I enjoyed gougeres and mussels in a broth of cider, mustard crème fraiche and leeks that was s
The food was very good. I enjoyed the socca. However, it didn't seem that the brussel sprouts were washed. Four bites of it had sand. It is a very cute cafe though.
A gem in Brooklyn.... If I lived in this hood I'd be a regular. After having just been to Paris, I have to say the food is great with an American twist. Had the duck confit, skate wing, dry aged steak, papardelle, some drinks, 2 appetizers and the bill came out to under 300 which I found great for a
Came in with a friend on a busy Saturday afternoon for a birthday brunch and we had a lovely time. I got the Eggs Louie, a delicious eggs Benedict with crab served on a warm flakey croissant and he ordered a burger royale. Both were absolutely perfect and the mimosas were tasty too! The atmosphere w
Lil neighborhood gem — so pleasantly delicious! French Louie has a beautiful, intimate setting with great food. I got the Bavette steak frites for dinner (comes with a really yummy and fresh mixed salad. Topped with pickles tho so if you don’t like pickles, I’d tell them!). The fries are hand cut an
Ate on the outside patio in March. They had heat lamps so the temp was perfect! That backyard area is gorgeous and dinner was perfect for a French date night. They even had a Paris-Brest for dessert, which is so rare to find in the city! Absolutely will come back.
We loved this brunch! First, customer service was amazing. The waitress was so friendly and warm, she was very considerable. More importantly, the food was awesome. French Toast was delicious and melt in your mouth. It was a huge plate. Too big for one person, share would be good! Egg Louie was tast
Really loved this spot, every dish was exceptional. Sat in the backyard area which was really cute. Staff was fantastic!
love this place - especially for brunch. great bloody mary’s! dinner is also fab. amazing neighborhood spot we are so grateful to have it. my only complaint would be to add some variety to the menu - it’s been the same for quite some time!
The decor of French Louie is classy with cozy ambiance. It has been on my bucket list for a while after seeing great reviews. Our friends had their Eggs Louie and classic Croque Madame. Both looked great and we would like to try next time. We got their Socca & Eggs and Creme Brûlée French Toast to
Loveeeeeeeeeee this spot. Egg Louis is the best. Love the niçoise socca too. Will be on my constant rotation around Boreum Hill.
I came here for brunch and I liked that there wasn’t a crazy line or that I had to wait hours like other brunch spots in Brooklyn. The brunch menu is short but tasty. I tied the eggs Louie and the French toast. I liked this new twist of French toasts. If you are looking for the best French toasts i
While the lunch menu was limited, everything was done perfectly at French Louis. They have one the best French fries I have had in the past 5 years: thinly cut and fried to perfect crunchiness yet still soft inside. I highly recommend the trout bo boy which comes in a huge portion and no less impres
I hadn’t been here in years and years, and I came back expecting very good traditional French dishes. I was surprised. While the dishes were French, they felt inspired by the fun, more adventurous Le Fooding movement. And while they took quite a while to come out (not a place for a quick bite!), th
I tried Socca for the first time here. It was definitely good but I do not think I would try it again. The vibe is so nice. I will come back to try to more
