The food was good, especially the pancakes. Very fluffy and buttery. They give you 3 stacks of it. The service was good at the bar. Serves real good drinks. Its crowded for brunch. I suggest reserving before you go. I would recommend.

I usually do not write reviews, but this is the second time I have been to this restaurant. This place hit 5 stars on everything. Food, service, and atmosphere. I would recommend this place every day and twice on Sunday. Lol. We ordered the poppers, cornbread, and pickles to start. All were excellent. The burgers were delicious. We also ordered the fried pork chops and waffle for the table. Again, excellent. The dessert was the perfect ending to the perfect lunch. We had pecan pie sundae and cranberry ice cream. The server gave us the attention needed to make it even more pleasant.

1. Definitely make a reservation if coming on a weekend because it got crowded really fast. So getting seated took some time because the front got so busy at the door 2. Get the butter milk fried chicken sandwich!! Whatever they used for the batter was phenomenal because it was still crispy even paired with some cold slaw on it. And the shoestring fries that it came with was very yummy! 3. The short rib hash was ok, good but didn't stand out much. Portion was just right 4. I did peep my neighboring table's french toast and it looked very fluffy. Maybe something worth sharing instead of getting it all by yourself? I ended up not wanting it because it looked enormous portion- maybe close to like a third of a loaf of bread. -Will definitely come back to try their other stuff

Did brunch here on a busy Sunday. Was nice to see your place that is well run and able to serve a full house. Reservations look to be a really good idea on busy time is like Sunday brunch. The service was professional and friendly. Chicken sandwich tasted as good as it looked. Poached eggs were perfection. Pancakes were divine, the maple syrup was a sweet delight. And the fries, the fries! Don't forget to order some. Look forward to Dining there again when we visit family in Brooklyn.

Don’t let the Berghain-reminiscent line winding out the door fool you: this place is, like, fine. The portion size felt initially disappointing — the plate arrived and I gaped despondently at one little disc for a hash brown — but in the end I was sated. What I really appreciated: good flavors displaying attention to detail (especially liked the mustard seed in the salad greens and the generous goat cheese in the eggs).

Buttermilk Channel has remained a consistently great spot for years. I can always count on friendly service, really good food, and a lovely atmosphere. The staff there are so friendly and helpful. It’s a perfect brunch spot (their Bloody Mary’s are my favorite in NYC), and dinner spot, and their New Year’s Eve party is always an amazing time!

Came here for a celebratory dinner and was not disappointed. The ambience is lovely. The staff were all wonderful and so very kind and accommodating. We enjoyed everything we ate and specifically recommend the mussels, trout, fried chicken, and raspberry icebox cake. All were very flavorful and well crafted.

Group of 5, and we all enjoyed our food! Lots of vegetarian options as well. 3 appetizers, 3 entrees, 2 sides and 2 desserts was plenty of food for 5 we were all stuffed and happy. We had the deviled eggs, popovers, ricotta flatbread, mushroom barley burger, the duck meat loaf, the lasagna, asparagus and the whipped potatoes. For dessert the pot de crème was better than most, but I wanted the bread pudding a tad stickyer- that’s just my personal preference. Drinks were great as was service and atmosphere.

Went there for brunch and we LOVED it. I got the Eggs Huntington with a side of one pancake. The biscuits tasted amazing as did that pancake. Wow, I really appreciate a great buttermilk pancake. My friends got the fried chicken sandwich (10/10🤩) and the short rib hash. Both so great, but I highly suggest getting anything with buttermilk. The short rib hash didnt come with a buttermilk item. We all got bloody marys and they tasted great! Nice ambiance and friendly service. Will be coming back!

Fantastic brunch! We made a reservation so the wait was pretty fast. Like most restaurants in NYC, the place is small but the layout doesnt make you feel like you're on top of the next table which is great. Bar has tons of variety and they make good cocktails. It was super busy so we didn't get a ton of attention but we still got pretty good service. I ordered the Eggs Huntington which is their fancy name for Eggs Benedict. It was phenomenal. The poached egg was cooked perfectly and it sat on a delicious buttermilk biscuit. We also split an order of pancakes which melt in your mouth. I literally wanted to lick the plate they were so good. I was totally satisfied and would definitely recommend for weekend brunch. I will definitely go back to try the dinner menu.

I enjoyed this brunch place, good vibe and great food. It's located in a quiet neighborhood. They have outdoor seating, which would be perfect for a sunny day. I didn't want to wait for a table so we opted to sit at the bar, which turned out to be a great choice. If you forget to make a reservation, try that. We ordered the pancake, eggs huntington and walnut sticky bun. Food portions were surprisingly large, especially the pancake. I consider myself an expert of pancakes and can confidently say this is one of the best I have ever had. They served three fluffy pancakes stacked together. They were not too sweet so the natural flavors of butter, milk and eggs shone through. The texture was soft and sponge-like, and the fact that they served three instead of one won my heart. Eggs huntington came with buttermilk biscuits and a small salad on the side. While not mind-blowing, they were definitely above average. The walnut sticky bun wasn't my favorite, as I am not a fan of cinnamon, but it's very much a personal taste preference. It was a bit too sweet for my liking, but I can imagine that some people would go crazy for it. Overall, I would highly recommend this brunch spot, especially if you're a pancake lover like me.

Buttermilk channel was an absolutely fantastic brunch. It’s now a favorite and I’ll be going back again and again. Their menu has a variety of items, including some that are more lunch than brunch. Their Bloody Mary is yummy and full of horseradish. The fried chicken sandwich is absolutely massive— it’s a knife and fork situation for sure. The slaw on it is a perfect compliment to the fried chicken, which has a wonderful crust and is moist and delicious. The side of mustard aioli is yummy and I recommend adding it every other bite. The shoestring fries were crunchy and there were plenty to share. The short rib hash was also great. Also, I didn’t try it but the French toast looks so amazing (and huge) that I hope someone will share it with me the next time I go! Definitely check this place out, it’s worth it!

Buttermilk Channel is a great place for brunch. I have come several times and received excellent meals and service every time. Reservations are recommended, as there is usually a wait for a table. When your food arrives, you will see why. I can eat. I can eat a lot. The Pecan Pie French Toast is one of the few dishes anywhere that I consistently can’t finish in one sitting. The biscuits are also excellent.

Great atmosphere, service, and delicious food! My daughter and I were in the area and decided to try this restaurant. It was dinner time when we arrived. Not crowded at the time but got increasingly crowded by time we left. Perfect timing for us! We recommend The Fair Harbor and The Honeysuckle Rose (from the bar and made by Eric). The crab cake was actually pretty good! As was the Buttermilk Fried Chicken which was served with cheddar waffles & Savoy cabbage slaw and Burger. The fries could’ve been better but overall, the food was great! Server Anna was very gracious and attentive. She’d often check-in to make sure we were pleased. We will absolutely return and glad to have selected this awesome place! You can tell a lot of thought went into the ambiance! Thank you again Anna and Eric. Hope to see you soon!💛

Our many visits to Buttermilk Channel have never been anything but exceptional. Cocktails, appetizers, entrees, and service are always top notch. Started the dinner off with an Old Gal cocktail, very nice if you like boozy drinks. Also had the Chicken Liver Mousse, it's so frickin' tasty. The Fried Chicken is obviously the main event(deservedly) when it comes to entrees but on a recent visit, I tried the Duck Meatloaf. I'm not usually a meatloaf guy but it was so good it made me wanna cuss. Seriously, it's so rich and tender, quite excellent. Lastly, our waitress was outstanding. Super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. To sum up, go to here.

Cute little brunch spot. Usually has a very long wait, but we went right at 10am on a Sunday in August and didn’t have to wait at all. Calming vibes and nice lighting. Food is great, with unique presentation. It’s pretty rich and portions are huge, so come here for a special occasion or with a group. Also very family friendly. Don’t skip out on the hashbrowns.
