Villabate Alba is honestly one of my favourite places ever in the world, nevermind Brooklyn and NYC. This little Italian bakery is heaven on earth for me. Everything here tastes utterly delightful and are a complete pleasure for the eyes and tongue. The cannoli is the best I've ever had, in addition to their seven-layered cookies. The pistachio flavoured Sicilian almond paste cookies (sorry, don't know the name) are a must-try as well. I just wished that I was allowed to take photographs inside since the displays and desserts are just so beautiful!

Yesterday late afternoon (the day before Thanksgiving), I waited on line for exactly one hour, most of that was in the frigid windy air ... it was worth every minute! Incredible selection of ultra fresh goodies, pleasant and helpful staff. The best Italian bakery in ALL of the boroughs, hands down. 👍🏻

Came to NYC for San Gennaro was told to stop at Villabate on my way home for the best. So we stopped in on Sunday and ordered, we let the staff know that we had at least a 4 hour drive back to Syracuse and they wrapped the rum babas, and when I got home to taste the goods I was in heaven. Great job on the pastries. We will definitely be back. We used to love Ferraras, but it has changed for the worse. Thank god we have another bakery that is old school.

Villabate Alba has the best ice cream in New York ALSO the most pocket friendly, I was shocked at how much we payed for 4 medium siz cups 3 with 3 scoops and 1 with 2 scoops ($15) I told the guy we were expecting atleast! $45 but was shocked at the price , he told me, "we don't rob people here" so definitely recommend the place, go check it out!

This is by far the most authentic pasticceria I found outside of sicily. For major holidays the line can grow a few blocks long. Everything from the hot chocolate to custom cakes are high quality. Make the trip, you won't regret it.

What is there to say that hasn't already? This is the best cannoli I have ever eaten (and yes I've had Mike's Cannoli in Boston, which is a close second). They use ricotta imported from Palermo, fill the shells to order, and have a maraschino cherry in one end and a candied citron in the other. Whenever I visit my hometown I always stop by here. The cakes and pastries always look amazing.

I got a red velvet cake for a birthday and it was delicious (a bit on the sweet side but good overall). I also got these fruit marzipans because I’ve always wanted to try them and it was good but a bit too big to enjoy. I wish they came in a smaller size 🥹 but it was very cute in general. Would recommend coming here for any pastries or desserts you need (they have a big array and I know their gelato is delicious as well!)

Old school charming beautiful bakery. We bought individual portions tiramisu and chocolate cheese cake to try it. They were delicious however full size ricotta cheesecake looked great but, in my opinion, it had a heavy sticky dough that I personally did not like. I loved their bread with olives. It was light and very tasty. Overall, I loved it. Big selection, so I will go back to try different things. BTW, Italian gelatto was tasty too. There was a long line to enter the store but it moved quickly.

A taste of Italy 🇮🇹 in Brooklyn New York! Holy cow this place is fantastic! Get the mini cannoli made fresh while you wait! I had a double shot of espresso which was absolutely spectacular! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I walked in as you can probably tell from all the photos of the gorgeous deserts! This is a must visit!!!

Of course I go on Christmas Eve but they were very quick once you get inside. It’s a good idea to have a general idea of what you’re looking for during this extremely busy time. The workers were very diligent!

If you come to NYC and only visit one bakery, make this it. It’s where all the old school locals go to grab a coffee and Sfogliatella.

Loved everything about this place. I was back home in NYC visiting from Philly, and decided I needed to stop and buy some fantastic pastries to bring home. I was not disappointed! Even grabbed a cappuccino for the drive. We loaded up and had carrot cake for breakfast this Father's day in our pajamas. Doesn't get any better.
