The food is delicious and I strongly recommend their Bloody Mary. It’s the best in the City of New York. Almost a meal on its own. The staff is warm and welcoming.
Le service est incroyable! Chaque bouchée est un délice! Best dinner I had in a long time! From the appetizer to the dessert including bread and wine was simply delicious! Bravo! I totally recommend it!
Marlow & Sons is simply the BEST. Not only the coolest spot in Williamsburg, my favorite in all of NYC! It’s a a morning coffee and a delicious crumpet, a glass of wine and oysters or the best meal you’ve ever had... no matter what you go in for you leave happy. These kids did it and did it right! I’ve celebrated countless times in this little jewel and meet many amazing people at this unassuming but perfectly assembled eatery!
Stumbled upon Marlow & Sons on New Years Day, it was the only restaurant opened on Broadway and it was an excellent stumble. Cozy and very fisherman type restaurant, something you would find in Mystic or someplace like that. We had the House Pickles, Chicken Liver Pate and the Lobster Dumplings. The Rose’ was excellent. The service was impeccable, the server explained the entire menu in detail. Definitely will go there again!!!!!
Awesome food, really enjoyed it. Also the waiters were friendly and helpful when choosing from the menu
Nice, cozy and delicius food!

Became our regular coffee spot when we stayed in Williamsburg for a month late last year, great coffee, great staff and yummy food.
To die for.. No really this food is my last wish. Lol

I was vegetarian until I came here and saw the oysters......true story! Great food and booze, fab atmosphere and full of soul. I also bought a super cool bag from here and everyone always comments on it, so thank you
We love Marlow & Sons. Delicious food, delightful staff, a great experience all-round. We try to eat here as often as possible.
Brilliant coffee, great service and damn fine attitude.
The food was excellent! The service was great and the cocktails were amazing.
One of the best meal I had in NYC. The place is cozy and the atmosphere is really great: nice music and dimmed lights. The food was amazing (see pictures below).
It’s such a pity, I really wanted to like this place but was let down for some reason.
Ambience was great for casual dining, super hip decor, noises from tables reverberating around the small, cavern like inner room.
Food was good as well. But it was so so slow. We wanted to order starters first, see how we feel before ordering mains. We were told it has to be all at once.
Even though they took our orders from the start, we had to wait an hour for the mains to arrive (same for the table beside us). The service staff did come by and apologise twice, so I’m guessing the slow service is not usually the norm.
The menu is small but has very interesting items. New American with Japanese flavors. The salmon dish was really good and the oysters were nice and fresh. Nice outdoor seating. Definitely on the pricey side so I wouldn't really come here if I was very hungry (more for a drink and something to share). Friendly service.
I may have reviewed this spot already and am skewing the ratings BUT this is a must. The staff are wonderful. The wine selection is 😙👌🏼 the oysters. Are. The best oysters. I HAVE EVER HAD!
We went on a Sunday and sat at the bar (we made a reservation but didn’t need it… but it may be advisable just in case because it’s a small spot).
Excellent coffee and lovely outdoor seats, perfect for a sunny day!
The food was good but a bit overpriced and the portions were on a small side. Grilled bluefish was really good but the pork cutlet was so so. There are limited vegetarian options as they use fish sauce in many dishes. Service is nice and tends to be on a slower side, which was okay for us. They have nice outside seating as well.
There's a sense of familiarity to Marlow & Sons - the kind of place you would dream of spending any Friday night. Whether it's sharing a plate of their celebrated brick chicken with a date, or enjoying a cocktail and conversation at the bar, this romantic setting is ideal for just about any occasion. The farm fresh menu changes every week, but one staple item of the last 12 years is their chicken liver pate on sour dough. It's the most decadent, beautiful, perfectly concocted whipped goodness you could ever imagine. And oh so generously slathered onto the toasted bread. It's a must try.
Fantastic atmosphere, great vegetarian options & very attentive staff! Loved the decor. Impressed that they had the ability to seat a large party, will definitely go back!
One of the best bites you’ll have at a low key BK spot! So so good. The ingredients are fresh and baked goods scrumptious 🌸
The best food I've had in Brooklyn (FYI I'm a tourist, not a local). The plates are great for sharing and everything we had was pretty much perfect in both concept and execution. The smashed cucumber and the trumpet mushrooms were personal favourites. The atmosphere is also very cool - it's buzzing and noisy but in a good way, not prohibiting conversation at all.
There are plenty of good places to eat in Williamsburg but I think this one is the most successful at combining clever, tasty food with a relaxed and enjoyable ambience.
My sister and I were blown away by how amazing the service was here. We had dropped in for a drink while waiting for our table next door at Diner (where we also received great service!) and we were treated so well! Shout out to Erica(sp?)! She went out of her way (on a busy night) to hook us up with the names of the fantastic jams spinning that night. Be sure to check out both spots! There's a reason they've been around for so long.
Intimate and considered. A Williamsburg institution that continues to deliver a beautiful vibe in their tiny back dining room. Go for the warm service, excellent cocktails, and chic menu.
Stopped in on my way to the airport for a lovely brunch (served all day). I had the poached eggs with a side of sourdough toast. Ate more than I should have because it was so good. The ambience in the back bar area is cozy and hip and the service is great.
We only stayed for appetizers but they were incredible! The carrots are a must-have, and the atmosphere was cool. Also saw Justin Bieber walk in while we were there.
Excellent for brunch. I love the sausage egg and cheese on a biscuit and great coffee. Note: it is a no tipping restaurant.
Came here for a wholesome solo date-with-myself. Just kidding - bad hungover, food needed, place is next to home, need a place to clear my email inbox. A bit pricey (48$ incl tip) but also probably cos I ordered half the menu. Insanely delicious (as the New York Times article promises). Shared some of my food with a lonely bird who thought highly of their salmon bagel too.
One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had, the egg sandwich with bacon. Poppyseed roll was delightfully soft, and the bacon thick and chewy but not underdone. Had a great mocha as well. My only nudge would be that if folks sit at the bar, offer them a cocktail menu; or, if there are no cocktail menus, offer them something from the bar. I saw bloody marys in front of other guests but I'm unlikely to work up the nerve to *gasp* ask my server.
