Battersby - Brooklyn - Photo album

Small restaurant, but it was pretty empty on a weekday night so no issues getting a table. The food and service I found to be top notch. All our dishes were creative, with a nice balance of different flavors and textures. Everything very well cooked. The fried bread that they gave out was unique and
Had the tasting menu in the pleasant back garden. Service was slightly snooty but very efficient and capable. I loved several of the items we were brought. Wild striped bass was excellent and the lamb was as well. Others didn't work quite so well. Dessert was fabulous, involving a variety of flavors
Great concept, you can order a la carte or get a set menu following the chef's whims. They tease you could get something off menu. The food is generally good, but I don't always enjoy everything equally. I love to sit on the bar and see the cooks work. I've had dinner here alone a couple times and f
Came here for a celebratory dinner and enjoyed the dinner. We went a la carte and ordered the crispy kale salad, the mushroom truffle special, the fettuccine with crab and the golden rice with rabbit. Everything was great except for the entree of golden rice and rabbit sausage. It was almost ined
Great cocktails, food very good but tasting + wine tasting overpriced
Had the tasting menu and loved everything! It was one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in Brooklyn. My only negative was that even though we made a reservation, we were seated right in front of the door on a cold night. Definitely ask for a table away from the door of its winter.
One of, if not the Best restaurant on Smith street. Big Respect to the kitchen . The tasting menu always delivers . This is another great place to really enjoy food. The use of fresh ingredients cooked with love is definitely served here. Place is small .make a reservation. Treat yourself
Absolutely fantastic eating experience. Everything was great. Every course was a surprise. Served with a wink and flavors that excited the palate in unique ways. Seemingly simple ingredients are blended by Battersby to transform simple to complex. Well done. I will be back for my next special
A jewel in Carroll Gardens. The place is tiny (24 seats with nearly half at the bar) but the cuisine is exalted. A foodie destination of the first order. The tasting menu (5 or 7 course options) with wine pairing is one of the best meals , and deals, in New York and the option with wine pairing
Everything we had was very good. They serve you freshly baked bread with whipped ricotta. My boyfriend who hoovered his a slab of four gras pate. I enjoyed the oysters with the ponzu gelee. Both pasta dishes were great! I had the duck bolognese and bf had the ricotta tortellini with asparagus and ra
Pricey but you get your money's worth. The chef is really creative and the food is very fresh. It is a bit difficult to find since there is no sign or banner outside. This place is high on my list of good eats in Brooklyn.
It only took stalking the entrance at 5:15pm for their 5:30pm opening time on a Friday to easily get in and out on my first visit here. In hindsight, we should have done the tasting menu. We seemed to be the only ones who weren't! Service seemed to flow a bit slow though so don't be in too much of a
No sign, reservations are hard to come by, no phone, email is tough, but once you're in you never want to leave and you wish your stomach was twice or three times the size. The kale salad is THE dish, the pasta with sea urchin is to die for even if you hate sea urchin, and if you thought that chicke
Great wine list. Vegetarian tasting menu was fantastic (seemed to rival the richness of the omnivore menu, with any difference in price going to the effort and thought.)
Ever encounter a menu so exquisite that you can’t decide what to order? Why not taste everything! This Brooklyn hot spot is now accepting reservations for its 5 and 7 course tasting menus.
