Catfish - Brooklyn - Photo album

Overall rating: 4.8 NOTE: This review is based off of visits between Dec 2021 - Apr 2022. Menu has changed since then & majority is no longer accurate based on recent visit. — I have been here 8 or so times for Bingo Wednesday. I’ve had the following: - Shrimp & Grits: really good but sometimes
What an absolutely treat of a hidden gem. That term is probably tossed around a lot but living in Long Island these days means I don't often find myself that far into Brooklyn much let alone in the hunt for food but my friend and I randomly found Catfish on google maps and figured we'd give it a try
I recently found this restaurant and have been here more than 3 times. Addiction is the word. Go on Wednesday for bingo!! A New Orleans vibe with hot sauce bottles on the back walls. The food!! I have tried and been satisfied by everything on the menu, except for everything made with pork. The corn
That fried steak on a bed of grits was yummy! Warm and soft corn bread with sweet butter..mmmm yum! The girl that served us said she was new but very helpful and friendly. Thank you!
Had a really great meal here. I had the crawfish etouffee, and the collard greens. There service was really friendly and quick, and always checking to see if you need anything. The etouffee, was very good, I wish the portion of rice was just a little bigger but the good was delicious. Just the right
The food was good. It didn’t taste like the Cajun food I’m used to but perhaps this is what authentic Cajun food tastes like! I knocked a star because though my husband and I were the only people waiting/ordering food at the time (about 11:30 pm) it took a while for us to get our plates. Once we got
Went on a weekday evening around 530, just my spouse and I. Seats were plentiful. Music was jazzy. Place was cozy. No draft even when seated by door. The staff was attentive. Very friendly. There's a bar across from the tables and chairs. Happy hour was just about to end and the waiter made it a poi
Absolutely fantastic vittles!!! A great New Orleans flare to the place in the heart of Brooklyn. The servers were super nice and attentive. I recommend the Delta Omelette. I will definitely eat here again. ♥️
Polite, and attentive staff. The drinks are strong, and made with New Orleans style. The food is very good. The Crab Cakes are delicious as an appetizer. The Crawfish Mac & Cheese was my favorite side. However, I did not like the Collard Greens. It was too spicy. Had to take half a star for that. I
The food here was ok. We only had the shrimp basket and potato salad, the shrimp and fries were really good (shrimp a little salty) but I didn't care much for the potato salad. The drinks were good!!! I'll go back because I want to try the shrimp and grits and collard greens. The staff there are su
Welcoming and comfortable feeling! Waitstaff is very attentive! Drinks are great and mix well with the food choices. Great little find in the neighborhood. The chicken biscuit dish was scrumptious! Luke behind the bar....awesome!
For the gravy, I'm coming back here for sure. I ordered jambalaya and chicken fried steak. The grits were piping hot, the gravy was excellent, and the steak was well-seasoned. The jambalya had good seasoning but could have used a little more heat (temperature). The serving size was substantial. The
This place is awesome! The happy hour is really good: 1 dollar oysters, and 2 dollars off drinks. Lots of different beer and liquor options. We went during happy hour and it was pretty desolate but that doesn't a bad thing. They have a beer garden as well. I highly recommend the shrimp and grits. S
Recently visited Nola and as always, the homesickness started kicking in. Tried the fried shrimp poboy which came with fresh bread. Will try eating immediately after next time, I had my order to go. I prefer my bread a little more crispy but not that big of a deal, portion of shrimp was perfect and
My first visit was on October 28th. I was new to the area and in search of some late night grub. So then I found Catfish and the rest was gold💯 I've visited this place so many times i lost count. The workers are very people friendly and the food is to DIE FOR!! A+!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS! This
Such a cool vibe. The food was delicious and it was alot. I almost fell asleep at the table🤣.i had Mema's Roasted Chicken herb marinated chicken, collard greens & a buttermilk biscuit w/ gravy also a side of Baked Mac & Cheese with bacon. Mmmmmm....
Great food, great drinks. A hidden gem in Brooklyn.
This is one of my favorite spots for brunch that is nearby. It’s Cajun and NYC barely has stuff like that!! No bottomless option but the Mimosas are like $6 👀 One star is deducted because the shrimp are way smaller than they used to be and the bacon used in the Shrimp and Grits haven’t been thick c
I LOVE this place ! E and Hope are the best! Food is amazing. Love the fried catfish and rice. The energy at Catfish is superb. Perfect for a fun date esp Bingo nights on Wednesday from 8-10pm
