Honestly, one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten! The shrimp ceviche was incredible, the pork cheek carnitas tacos were scrumptious and don’t even get me started on the chicken! HEAVEN! The spicy mango margarita was the icing on the cake. The restaurant has a cool, casual vibe and the wait staff was top notch. I sure wish it was closer to home (Kansas City)!! GREAT PLACE in every way! Thank you for such an amazing culinary experience!
The food was extremely delicious and fresh... from appetizers to dessert! The staff is very friendly and accommodating! I got to celebrate my birthday there on Saturday; despite the nasty weather, all my friends enjoyed the location and they allowed us to stay a little after closing hours to fully enjoy the experience. We plan to return on a nice day and "turn up"!
Amazing food! Loved it all.. some of my faves: lamb taco, tuna tostada and the Romain salad. A bit disappointed with their service, wanted to add one person to the reservation, called several times without the line working and finally when I got through they said no, even though we were open to squeeze in. When arrived, I saw other similar tables accommodate the same number of people that we were hoping to be. Ambiance very loud, it’s vibey but hard to hear each other.
Amazing experience. Loved the atmosphere and presentation of all the dishes and Michelin food at an “affordable” price. We did go in without a reservation so had to wait over an hr and still got bar seats so that was one negative but I liked the home feel of the food and the staff. Also loved their atttention to detail. 💯 recommend and will go again though some improvements can be made.
Beautiful restaurant! The food was original and full of flavour! The cocktails were recommended according to our preferences that we mentioned to the waitress. The waitress was knowledgeable on the foods and drinks and helpful in making our decision on what to order.
A 1 star Michelin restaurant that offers Mexican food. A totally different experience compared to others. The lamb taco is good. I think swordfish doesn’t make a good taco. lol. It is a busy restaurant. Sometimes the server can’t spot the details. The shrimp with mushrooms is quite interesting. I can’t quite smell the aroma of Wagyu steak. Overall it is a very different kind of restaurant to try
Came here for brunch on our recent 3 day trip to NYC, one of the best brunches I have experienced. Food was so fresh and ingredients were spot on! Cocktails were delicious and what a mescal menu. Interior was bright and you could smell the smoke which they infuse into the food through the restaurant. If you are in NYC make a reservation and hope you get John as your server.
Literally amazing. Such a unique dining experience and really reasonably priced for a Michelin star restaurant. Would definitely go back the dishes were so yummy especially the black bass aguachile and the smoked mango!
We went for lunch. The environment was warm and filled with light. The service was friendly and helpful and very quick. The food-- especially the tuna and the shrimp soup dish-- were outstanding. Not very large if you have a big appetite, but flavor was very good.
Our 2nd time here and couldn’t recommend this place more. Heard from others that the food is better than that in Mexico and I believe it. We came for lunch. Jon was fantastic in recommending all the right dishes including a delicious carrot cake. John was very friendly and personally attentive to all his guests individual needs. Everyone else was also friendly and made for a good dining experience. In the end we had the Carajillo which is a Mexican speciality dessert liquor. The tacos are the best. We will be back again.
Great service and atmosphere. Drinks were great too. The mushroom and lamb barbacoa tacos were great. A little salty but still yummy
Amazing food! Love the nice restaurant’s decorations. And most importantly, the food were very delicious with various flavorful spice and/or sauce and the food look amazing!
We had reservations for dinner and were seated by the kitchen which was fine. I like to watch people create.
The food was not spicy at all at least to me. I've had way spicier in smaller hole in the wall restaurants in queens.
We loved the pistachio pork chops.
The drinks we ok. (Small glasses)
I was very hungry after a long day of walking around Manhattan and Brooklyn, and wasn't sure I'd find anything to eat, much less good to eat. I was staying in Greenpoint (awesome area to stay!), and happened to walk by this place and tried my luck to see if they were open. Not only were they open, but they were bustling at 9pm on a Monday! But luckily plenty of seats at the bar. I believe this place is usually packed, so I lucked it (reservations recommended!!). I ordered classic margarita, and it was the best I’ve had in a long time. Used the bathroom while waiting for the food and there’s a party in the bathroom! A disco ball!!!
Shrimp ceviche tostada is soooo good. It looks small, but it completely satiated my hunger, and it was incredibly tasty. I am not one to order dessert at a restaurant (almost NEVER) but I was so impressed by the dinner that I ordered their carrot cake. It was amazing!!
It was only towards the end of my meal that I notice the 1 Michelin star sign from 2022. It wasn't even gigantically or prominently displayed, just very humbly up on a top shelf. I was already impressed and I guess someone else was too. 😆
The bartenders who waited on me were very friendly, not overly so, but just right. The entire experience was perfect, and I hope I have a chance to get back there someday.
authentic Mexican food? Drinks Lit 🔥 purchase the Matcha sauce to take home. Oh my God Averythangs delicious and you have to try to dessert, coffee nips ice cream fudge cake it’s off the chain decorum an atmosphere is amazing the sauces 😍
Long awaited trying Oxomoco and was able to get a table on a Sunday night. We had a table, but opted to sit at the bar. The bartender was excellent, making us feel welcome, informing us of a mezcal special and making friendly conversation.
We ordered the Tuna Tostada which had the most flavorful seasoning. Every bite was a burst of flavor.
Next up was the Swordfish tacos which also had so many flavors that blended nicely with the perfectly cooked fish.
For a main entree, we shared the Buvette which came with truffled potatoes. The steak while delicious in the mole sauce, came to us at room temperature. This didn’t measure up to that of a Michelin star restaurant. However, the bartender was quick to notify the manager who came over shortly after to help address. While the steak wasn’t exactly served to perfection, I do appreciate how the team handled it.
We had Sunday brunch- The menu is very unique: the Tuna Tostada is a must ! Also great Cocktails and separate Tequila/Mezcal menu.
The dining hall is very comfortable and cozy
The food here was soo good! Best chilaquiles i ever had. Oh, and make sure to try their papas bravas! Yummy! The service was very nice and fast. We went for late brunch on a rainy Sunday, and we got the table with no reservation. Will come back soon!
