I just had a 60th Birthday party last night 02/17/18. It was amazing, food exquisite and delicious and most of all the staff, so attentive and always taking good care of my guest. They are exceptional, no nonsense or attitude. I recommend this place so highly and the owner Guissepe was so accommodating and fair with his prices. Thank you to all the staff at Vesuvio for making my event and unforgettable one
Last night was our third Family party at Vesovio's and as always the Management and Staff and Food leave Me and my Guests always speechless.Having another party their in just about three weeks time.Price is worth it highly recommend to all A++

Amazing food! We moved away and came back to visit Brooklyn after 30 years. The place has changed a lot over the years. The owners and staff were awesome, like family, The restaurant looks beautiful. It was established in 1953 and still going!

Loved this restaurant!!! We came from SI and I will come here again. We were pleasantly welcomed when we walked in. My daughter and I wanted to split an entree. The waiter came with 2 dishes with the entree already split. That never happens. You are almost always given 2 plates to split it yourself. I got a FULL glass of wine! It was my birthday and they offered a drink on them. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant. Prices less than restaurants in SI. We were treated like we were in a high end restaurant. I really enjoyed my birthday dinner with my husband and daughter!! �

Went there for the first time last night(Sat) The food, staff, service, atmosphere, was great. Perhaps even better then Gino’s, where I have been going to since 1964.

Very delicious food and excellent services!! We love Vesuvio. For me is the best Italian Restaurant in Brooklyn NY. Services very professional and friendly.

You are greeted with the warmest hello and welcome the moment you walk in, the staff is lovely, the food is wonderful and the drinks are fantastic! You can’t go wrong at Vesuvio.
My husband and I came here on a whim not knowing if we needed a reservation. We were greeted by the hostess and seated promptly. Our server, Mary, was phenomenal. She was attentive, answered all of our questions (I always have questions)with professionalism. She has a wonderful upbeat personality that is a true asset to your establishment. She treated us like royalty and we were not rushed or pushed out since I am a very slow eater. We are looking forward to returning very soon. The Veal Parmigiana, Cavatelli Bolegnese, Chicken Oreganata, Tiramasu were out of this world.
Another hidden gem serving Italian food. Portions served are good. Nice collection of wines. Try the Manhattan sausage & the Portobello pizza. Rustica pasta is a good choice. Avoid the Buffalo wings. It doesn't do justice to the place. The bruchetta is another good dish to order. Overall, it was a very nice experience. The exterior was decorated well for Halloween.
Food was plentiful & amazing. Staff treated us with great professionalism & the atmosphere felt like a scene out of a God father movie. Price wasn't that expensive either. Great place to go with your partner.

My husband and I grew up in Brooklyn, and we live in Oregon now. We had a wonderful dinner here at the beginning of our trip back to visit family, and we ended it today with the best Pizza slices that we had in years ! Of course Brooklyn Pizza is the best in the world, but Vesuvius has got to be in the top five! And they are lovely people.
YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!! Went here around 8pm on a Saturday with two other people. Service was quick, staff was friendly and food was AMAZING. Everything was so fresh! I’m a huge penne vodka critic but this place nailed it!! All in all, 10/10 perfect spot, prices aren’t too bad. Definitely will be coming back!
Great food and menu. Prices are fair for Italian in the area and it does come with good table service. Waiters are fully dressed up and tables have white linens. It’s more of a classic upscale restaurant feel with Italian music in the background. They have a nice area just inside the doors where it’s booths for pizza and other quick bites if you don’t want table service. There’s also no parking in this area so you have to drive around to look for street spots. If it’s dinner time on a wknd add in time for parking and you’re good.
Very enjoyable meal with my family. I had the semi freddo and loved it. Casual enough setting to feel ok that I forgot to put on a nicer top! Service is very friendly and accommodating. Wasn't rushed--always nice.

We had Zuppa Di Pesce . The seafood was so good. They used Australia lobster than Boston lobster! Very good !
It was ok. Had reservations for a space for daughters grad party. There was a delay. Event felt very rushed.
Great Service. Really good pizza and the baked clams are to die for. Definitely recommend

Always happy when I discover the place where the food tastes like homemade and it’s definitely the place where you can have delicious Italian food along with the very welcoming and friendly staff. We had shrimp pasta and Shrimp with vegetables and both of them were extremely tasty and had an affordable price

The restaurant is nicely organized and your not close to other tables where you can have a conversation.
The Italian dishes are prepared the way you like to your satisfaction.
We ordered appetizers and drinks which came out together which was nice as we ordered some spicy (hot) sauce red peppers.
We ordered fish with pasta which was preparedness perfectly.
The wine selection is nice but we both went for cocktails.
The waiter and server couldn't be any nicer. The bread was hot and fresh, not reheated.
Oh BTW the place started out years ago as a Pizzeria and expanded years later and kept that loving family atmosphere as when you walk in is the seating for the Pizzeria and to both sides is the dining areas and the party room is nice for functions and great service and food.
Also would like to say the greetings when you walk in is always friendly and they treat more than a customer they treat you like family.
Compliments to owners as this is a fun place to eat even with children that are kept busy with supplies from staff.

I attended my coworkers' retirement party here awhile ago and really enjoyed the venue and food. I decided to order for delivery to see if the food was just as good as I remember. I ordered Pasta Tremezzo and French fries. You can choose which pasta you want, I chose linguini. The pasta was delicious and cooked perfectly. The French fries were crispy and chunky. They were generous with the portions. I'm definitely going to order from this place again and try different items off their extensive menu.
