We are visiting from California found this restaurant online. Great service and atmosphere. Portions are good size but you won’t have to struggle to finish them. Had a delicious meal and could not have been happier! It’s an amazing place to eat!

This is authentic Brooklyn Italian food prepared with modern sensibilities in mind. The atmosphere is akin to being invited into someone's home, or maybe their private club house. A diverse, fun loving crowd enhances the overall experience.

I always get their their fettuccine Alfredo! Think they make pasta noodles in the house - they are perfectly chewy and bouncy! Love their fettuccine noodle 😋 I can kinda taste rosemary in the sauce which is pretty unique but I still love it. I like their warm and welcoming vibe - they once had a live music going on around Christmas. I don’t come here as often as my bf moved to a different neighborhood but I hope they reopen soon so I can come and get their fettuccine Alfredo again!

Such a charming restaurant 😍. Went there on a Friday night with some co-workers. We were greeted by a band made up of 3 guys, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The restaurant was dimly lite, it had a romantic feel to it, it's the perfect spot for a date. The food was absolutely delicious, there were enough options on the menu, you couldn't possibly go hungry. I had the salmon with sautéed spinach and roasted potatoes. For dessert, I had the chocolate mousse cake. Everything tasted so good. There was a special dessert, it was bunt cake soaked in rum with cannoli cream, i was delicious. I will definitely go back to Giovanni's and I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family

My Order: -Apple fritter (the little dough balls) -Prosciutto & Melon -Ham, Egg, Cheese, Pesto -Blueberry French Toast -Mimosa -Bloody Mary And here’s the best part! It’s unlimited Bloody Mary’s or Mimosa’s plus all this great food for $27!!! It’s not often your dollar goes a long way in New York, but this is the spot. Live music on Sundays with brunch. All around the food was fantastic. The Prosciutto & Melon and Ham, Egg, Cheese, Pesto really took the cake! I was very satisfied with my experience. Definitely going back to this one.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! It’s my hidden gem to be honest. I used to come here for lunch all the time when I lived in the area but now I live farther away it’s more of a special treat for when I do go. The service is always attentive. Of course on the busy Sunday brunches it can take some time to get a server’s attention, but they are pretty good with trying to watch over your table. The food is downright delicious. For an appetizer and entree it’s such an amazing deal and plus you have so many options. I came for bottomless with my friend and it was 28$ total for bottomless, appetizer and entree. That’s completely unheard of in nyc. Plus there’s an awesome jazz band that performs every Sunday (not sure about Saturdays). Highly recommend this place to my friends and family!! (But don’t tell too many people!!! So I can still get a table whenever I go lol)

I went to the restaurant for a birthday dinner. They had live music, it was dimly lit and the food was pretty tasty. We had a prefix menu so I'm not sure if what I got is exactly on the regular menu but I had the strip steak. On the top were "fried onions" but the breading was so soggy. Parking was a hassle but the food was good.

We live semi-nearby and always saw the place packed, so we figured we had to see what was drawing the crowds. It was everything we hoped - a warm welcome, terrific attentive and friendly service, and the food was excellent. The grilled romaine wedge salad is fantastic, the tiramisu was a standout, and everything in between was great. Reasonably priced bottles of wine, too. A perfect neighborhood spot.

Giovanni's seems to be a newish restaurant in a pretty quiet area. We honestly stopped by because not a lot else seemed to be open at 9pm on a weekday nearby. The food ended up being very good and reasonably priced. The fresh tagliatelle was clearly the highlight, but the chicken dishes and dessert were also quite good. The service was very good and the outdoor seating area is nice and open and quiet. Would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area! Especially for some yummy carbs after a prospect park run or bike ride.

What can I say about Giovanni’s… so much. My partner and I just moved in down the street. So we said, “Let’s try that Italian place a minute away!” Needless today, we were (and still are) amazed. We have been several times and have tried a good portion of the menu at this point. Every single time we have been, it’s such a GREAT experience. The best lasagna I have ever had, real authentic bolognese, the chicken parm is AMAZING if your down for a big portion of food, the pesto pasta was to die for, you really cannot go wrong with anything you get here. We had this special, Italian chicken wings… oh my god it was mouth watering! (Bring it back!!) The bruschetta was so refreshing and yummy. Overall, the food is homemade and made with so much love. Not to mention the sangria is soooo good. The waiters and the staff are so sweet and wonderful. (Shout out to Cat, she’s such a great waiter!) The other day on a very busy Friday, Gio himself greeted my bf and I, and it was like meeting a celebrity lol. He had such an amazing charismatic energy and really made us feel like we were a part of his family. It is the ultimate Italian family experience. On our way out, he caught us, shook our hands and made sure we had a great experience, and even welcomed us to the neighborhood! Seriously such an incredible atmosphere. Go on the weekend, they have live music, and even brunch which we haven’t gone yet but looks amazing. Perfect for a family outing, a date, truly anything. We are TEAM Gio. So happy it is around the corner from us! We are huge fans.

I love this restaurant.. the food is always good. The service is attentive without being pushy and servers hanging around all the time like creepy stalkers. They checked on you frequently but left you to enjoy your meal. And the meal was DIVINE. Its a neighborhood restaurant so expect the residents to reflect the diversity (or lack of) in the neighborhood... but I've never had an issue there and they are warm with all the guests.. on the Saturday i went to brunch there was a live jazz band. Nice stuff . Where can you get a 2 course brunch for 18.95? And the food is FILLING and DELICIOUS

I came here for the first time yesterday for brunch because of all the rave reviews I read about this place on Facebook. I was surprised that the place was pretty empty when I walked in. It was probably because they just opened up. They have a pretty impressive menu and prices are very reasonable for the amount of food that is given. The only thing that I had a slight issue with is the Bloody Mary that came with my meal. Don't get me wrong, it was very tasty, but it seemed to lack in alcohol, which to me is the most important part of a Bloody Mary. I figured the drinks have to be a bit mild during brunch since the waitstaff keeps refilling your glass throughout the meal and they don't want people drunk early in the morning. My waitress was very friendly, bubbly and attentive. The restaurant itself is very clean and pretty. The food came out quickly with no wait time and it was really good, but it just needed a tad more salt. The bathroom "bagno" is also a bit on the dinky side. Overall, I enjoyed everything and look forward to stopping by again for a quick bite. Edit: I have to add an appendix to my original review since I have dined here several times since my first visit. The food and service is absolutely outstanding. I came here again for brunch and for dinner. Everything I have eaten was utterly fantastic. Even though we are in the middle of a pandemic and we have to eat outdoors, you feel comfortable with your surroundings while you eat. I will continue to support this wonderful restaurant. ❤

The best Spaghetti alla Puttanesca and most tender, flavorful meatballs I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Fresh, delicious and authentic. Service was excellent. A talented jazz quartet played while we dined. An absolute gem in Park Slope.

I was headed home after dropping off a closing check at my office and was looking for a place to celebrate another home sold! Great Lunch Pre-Fix menu, $14.95. The spinach salad was a great app and the rigatoni w/4, cheese sauce was delicious. My daughter enjoyed her spaghetti too 😁 We had enough for leftovers. So dinner is already covered.

Yet another delicious Italian restaurant in Brooklyn! The servers were very attentive, the food was very well prepared, and the physical restaurant was cozy! I highly recommend the braised short ribs! So good!
