This is not only a great restaurant. Surfish is one of the best restaurants in New York City, if not the best one. I recommend Surfish to anybody I talk to about Peruvian food.

Food And presentation is exquisite and absolutely worth every penny but the service is other history, the waitress staff is terrible and very poor and unprofessional , other than that is an amazing place to have lunch o have a nice celebration ( The Drinks are sooooo sooo good ) 👍😀❤️

Food is excellent. Owners are warm and friendly. Servers are ok: Helpful and friendly but need to tune up a bit on proper service. Over all great place to experience Peruvian food with some modern fusion style

I really think Miguel has a great gift with seafood, he understands the subtle notes of how to cure it with acidity which is the best Peruvian ancient way. I 'm very fond of his presentations as well. I always try his oysters, his ceviche and i love the skirt steak he brings sizzling hot at the table.

So refreshing & beautiful all the food. Interesting options- not the same old. Makes one appreciate fine food presented with style & thought. Love that we have 2 locations in our neighborhood - both with walking distance.

I would definitely recommend this place, loved the food, the drinks, the ambience and the personnel. Too bad is in a sketchy area in Brooklyn, but it's ok. My husband is Peruvian therefore I'm used to how good their food is, but this exceeded my expectations. We even met the cook! Loved it. Everyone should try it once at least!

Excellent food! The appetizers are the best. The squid pasta may not be for everyone. It doesn’t take like a typical pasta, more so has an unfamiliar paste. If you don’t enjoy experimenting with food I will recommend some of the other common food items like the steak

The staff really goes above and beyond to make the dining experience impeccable. I had the hamachi tartare and it was ok. I could tell how fresh the fish was. So I feel like I could've skipped that app. But, I had the lomo saltado afterwards and it was banging. The skirt steak was cooked to perfection along with the sauce. A bit more fries could be added though for a more traditional lomo. Lastly, there was the chocolate churros...it was mouthwatering with the lucuma puree and hazelnut chocolate sauce. I definitely recommend this place as a treat yourself night or a casual date;)

The food is excellent, just the Black Paella is a bit too salty. Overall, the seafood is fresh.

Had a chance to try Peruvian cuisine in this amazing restaurant. Pleasantly impressed by the art of combining previously unknown products. This is a very healthy and excellent cuisine! Everything is fresh and absolutely delicious! Since I am a big fan of vegetables and seafood, I was delighted with the large selection. Pleasantly pleased with the presence of good pottery and the overall design of the restaurant! Very cozy! Be sure to go!

Great little spot, was super empty when I walked in. But maybe it was just a slow day. I know that this place’s definitely has great food and you can tell just from looking at the other tables and how beautiful the food looks. Would love to come back one day

10/10 amazing! Delicious ! It was an explosion of different flavors and textures in every bite. The servings are huge so sharing is a must, the pricing is decent. I will be returning. The mussels , paella everything I tried was exquisite 👌 just go!!

Nice ambiance and good service. Chupe was hearty, creamy, flavorful. The yellowtail ceviche was excellent, the fish is just so perfect and fresh. The carnitas were so tender and had so much flavor. The grilled prawns were perfectly cooked and the sauce had a lot of depth and kind of mushroomy earthy flavor. The zapallitas were my favorite, unfortunately the zucchini was a bit overcooked but the sauce was amazing. I am excited to come back to try the meat dishes.

Nice Peruvian restaurant in Park Slope area. Taco tapas and seafood paella are very delicious. Tuna pineapple isn’t too fresh from my taste and the pasta is a little too salty. Overall is great just service is a little slow during a not so busy night.

Pleasantly surprised by this spot 😋 We came on a whim without knowing much about Surfish, and every dish caught our attention and re-affirmed our decision to be here. Easily one of my favorite restaurants after visiting once. We tried a sampler of ceviches (mixto, pulpo, and fresh oyster) and they were all balanced and flavorful, with distinct textures and flavors. The anticuchos were meaty and surprisingly tender, and the black paella was an enormous portion (the entire baking dish!) and packed with seafood. The host and servers were friendly and accommodating as well. If you sit outside, note that 3rd avenue can be noisy at times — but we still had a great time and they have quieter seating tucked into 14th St.

Incredible food, amazing value ($19 for a giant bowl of ridiculously fresh and delicious seafood soup that could feed 2 people?! Yes please), presentation that’s on par with some of the fancier restaurants in the city… honestly, this place is a hidden gem that I can’t recommend enough.
