Great beer selection and great food. I never knew how much I wanted a beet veggie burger until I had one here. Very nice and open space. I will be going back.
We had a fabulous breakfast there! Great neighborhood gem. We will definitely go back.
Amazing joint! Fantastic food (did the tacos, deviled eggs, and biscuits) and it was utterly delicious. Like, party in our months delicious. I also appreciated the wonderful bartenders and their friendly demeanor and professionalism. Would come back again!
It's a little hide away with friendly staffs, small bites and a good time. The beer selection is good though the wine selection is somewhat limited. I enjoy coming to this little pub whenever I'm staying in Brooklyn. It's a relatively short walk from my hotel and without the usual high price or attitude related to Manhattan.
I love this spot. Super high ceilings, great atmosphere, beautiful brick walls. The wait staff were nice, and attentive. The drinks were good and reasonably priced, and it's a nice place to both hang out with a lot of friends and meet new people. I would definitely come back here.

These guys really do have it all:
- solid draft / cocktails / wine selection
- tasty bar snacks hot and cold, large and small
- a mini event space up top for (local) performances, variety shows, intimate musical gatherings.
This place feels like it was once a dive bar that cleaned up, shaved and showered, but never lost that local bklyn heart and chill vibe.
Great local bar with a large variety of beer. It has a very rustic feel to it and has long tables with bench seating. They also serve food some of which are provided by nearby bakeries. This place has a great sense of community, no frills, and even has special events there practically every week. This is also a family-friendly bar which can be a pro or con depending on your preference. Overall, I like this place as it is a chill place to grab a drink.
Met up here with some friends from out of town + everyone's babies, and it was surprisingly accommodating. Good space, kid friendly-ish towards the back, but the bartenders didn't seem happy to see us until they realized that we were drinking/ordering food and not just a bunch of parents with young kids. The truffle grilled cheese was *excellent*, really. Honestly I was surprised that they had such good food options since the bartenders seemed either overwhelmed or unhappy that they were serving brunch. Would recommend to a friend for sure, but not for the service. Good location, good drink selection for a bar.
I've only ever been in here in the afternoon for a beer. 61 local does have a great beer list, reasonable prices, and it's nice that they offer a larger or smaller pour on most of the drafts. The ambience and crowd just sometimes feels a little weird to me. It's almost like the place doesn't know what it is: a bar, a coffee shop, a restaurant? Definitely a good place to stop in, just not quite my vibe.
Fantastic bar with an amazing craft beer selection. The meat and cheese platters are delicious and a relative bargain. In fact we organized a birthday party here, we had a blast and the staff were very nice.
Coffee shop that turns into a wine and beer bar? Yes please. Super spacious. They always have great community events in their event space and the staff is so welcoming to various arts groups. Great commitment to the neighborhood.
A very popular bar and restaurant among the locals, with a great atmosphere. The food is on the simpler side, but good and quite varied. The food is made in front of your eyes, and they use locally sourced ingredients and suppliers. The tables are all shared, it's mostly self-service, and there's a (not too strictly enforced) no-laptop policy during brunch. It's not a gourmet destination, but most things I tried from the menu were fine and good.

Really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and beer menu of this place. The food menu is small but ample, and I definitely overestimated how much I'd be able to eat. My only complaint was the service- we sat at the bar and the bartender/server did not acknowledge us for almost 10 minutes. However, she was very nice when she did get to us, and food and drink came promptly after.
Nice environment. Really liked the atmosphere. Decent coffee and decent tea. Very convenient location. Not much in the way of a snack available but since the baristas were nice and I really liked the interior and relaxed vibe, I will happily patronize in the future!
Came here for a birthday party with friends. Very roomy venue with a homey vibe. The food is decent and an excellent drink selection. Love the large picnic tables, which were perfect for a group to sit in.
I like the mix of stuff at 61 Local. It tries to be everything to everyone, and it’s not bad. It’s a decent coffee place, has beer and wine, and has interesting non-alcoholic bevs including ginger ale they make, lemonade, tea, and kombucha. The food menu is surprisingly good. The off-hour menu is quite limited, but there’s enough that someone who needs to eat will probably find something—some breakfast stuff and the truffle grilled cheese. The kombucha is okay, I wish they had flavors and it were more carbonated. The lemonade is a bit weak, but nicely flavored. The bar staff isn’t looking for people who want to order, so I really needed to walk over to them—eye contact won’t work. But they’re friendly enough once they deign to acknowledge you. There are a ton of people with laptops well into he late afternoon. I’ve also played board games there with friends. It can be a bit loud for that, but the long tables are nice. The front has high tables. Here are a couple of bike racks out front, but they could use more for nice weather times.
Great place for American, simple comfort food in a very open and relaxed bar environment. No table service and they won't serve you coffee after 5, but the craft beer selection is enough to keep you awake. And anyone behind the bar knows their stuff. Feel free to test them; they are honest and right about the beers, and won't steer you toward something you won't like just because they have an old keg of it. A must visit spot for beer and grub in Brooklyn.
