Yum! I’ve never had Sicilian pizza before. This was amazing! Soft and crunchy crust. Saucy! It’s just damn good!

Layout/atmosphere
*Small counter area in front with TV near display case/oven; tables in back; backyard area with tables; covered outdoor dining structure in street
Food/Drink
*Grandma Pizza - really good; thin; crispy crust; cheesy; fresh tomatoes in the sauce; little oily though
*Deep Fried Calzone (ricotta, mozzarella & ham) - Good; creamy; nice crunch; also little oily/greasy [ham is excluded from calzones on Fridays]
Best Pizza and Fried Calzone EVER! I’ve been eating here since the mid ‘60’s, as a 5 year old little boy. A traditional spot for Good Friday meals. Since moving to Florida a few years ago I make it a point to stop by here whenever in NY. Paulie is only the second owner since John and Onofrio owned it, and aside from fixing up and expanding the dining area (added backyard seating as well), nothing has changed. Quality of food is just as good as it’s always been. I was able to get my Florida pizza guy to makes these as well! I’ll be coming in this week for Mothers Day, so Paulie, get ready to throw a Calzone in the (oil) pool for me!
Try their incredibly cheesy DEEP FRIED calzones with a side of sauce or artisan pizzas. The place has been established so long for a reason. Definitely gone back twice already.
Great place.
Lightning fast no-nonsense customer service.
All the slices we got were excellent including the olive slice and the regular slice.
I would go back in a heartbeat.
Delicious! Cute place right off the street.
This place has ruined my life. Horribly. I work in NYC, live in SC, and rarely get to Brooklyn. I had the Primadonna, and now all I can do is dream about it, obsess over it, and plot how I can get back for it. All other pizzas are now just meh to me.
Gas oven, delicious cooked garlicky sauce. I could eat the sauce by itself.
Very high quality pizza and authentic, not greasy, fresh mozzerella. My order tonight had a small error and they immediately rectified it by sending over 2 slices so everyone could eat.
Fried calzones!!!! They fry them when u order one. Not reheated in an oven. Do I need to say more?
The quality of the pizza here is on a higher level. The atmosphere is ambient and the price is reasonable. The ricotta put me in heaven.
The only place to get a real pizza from a real Italian in Brooklyn. Very good 🍕
It was a good pie. Good flavor and everything tasted fresh. Would go well with watching a game on tv.

Probably the best pizza I had in my life. My wife and I were visiting next door and decided to have lunch here. It was the best idea we had. If you are in the area... you have to try this place.
I love coming here when I’m in Brooklyn! All the dishes are outstanding! You can not eat just one slice! It tastes like more!!
Took a ride in with some brothers today for pizza and Calpine. Food was phenomenal.
