I cannot say enough wonderful things about Maison May Vanderbilt, where we had our wedding reception in August 2017. Our photographer recommended it, and he was spot on! From my first e-mail to Maison May, to the last sip of wine as our unforgettable reception drew to a close, the owner/manager (Cat, Claudia) and staff were consistently professional, amiable, and prompt. As the reception arrangements progressed, Claudia and Cat patiently and kindly answered all my questions and demonstrated kindness and flexibility, accommodating special requests for our favorite wine and alternative menu selections. The service all evening was impeccable, and the food: oh my goodness, people are still raving about it - so delicious, so fresh! In a nutshell: it was a splendid evening that we shall never, ever forget!
My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at Maison May and it was perfect. The setting, food and staff were wonderful! The events manager, Claudia, was so lovely to work with and we couldn't recommend it enough for those who are looking for a space to hold an intimate gathering. Thank you, thank you!
I loved it the place, the food the ambiance was lovely. I would highly recommend it for anyo es special occasion.
I had my wedding here in May and it was an excellent experience! Everyone from the owner herself to the staff were so kind, helpful, and attentive. Everything was done professionally and seemlessly. Food was so fresh and delicious and the their signature cocktail, a rosemary collins, was a huge hit....it was perfect! My guests had an amazing time and I highly recommend this venue for a wedding!
Good times, good food, good music, and most importantly Beautiful Wedding!
Congratulations to Mr and Mrs. Branden Mirach!
ICI proves to be a spot with class and personality!! The menu is eclectic and delicious.... Lots of wholesome " farm - to- table" type dishes. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. My personal favorite: the backyard.... Complete with white lights, greenery and outside pizazz!! You've got to be HERE...ICI!
Fabulous Kale burger and Mimosa! Excellent vegan muffin, too.
Yummy!
The kindest, most loving staff we have ever encountered. We are forever grateful.
Beautifully done...understated elegance! Indulged at both locations and exceeded my expectations!! Very inspiring and can't wait to return. Cheers!
This place has an awesome brunch and a beautiful charming atmosphere . It's also great for events, baby showers , and wedding receptions. Love it.
So wonderful! The food, service & ambience - amazing!
I'm a big fan. Great vibe and great food, carefully sourced and consistently delicious all these years!
What an incredible discovery to have found Maison May for our wedding! My husband and I were looking for something homey and still intimate feeling with 75 people and this space was the perfect fit. Catherine and Claudia from the beginning were open and honest and clearly interested in our personal vision and the best way to manifest that at their venue. Our guests all felt tapped into the energy cultivated by the space and we all had such a memorable experience. THE FOOD IS INCREDIBLE! If food is your priority, then this venue NEEDS to be considered! So delicious! Pre-event planning was thorough and smooth and the staff on sight that day were beyond accommodating. If you're looking for something with an old Brooklyn vibe and contemporary twist that is warm and inviting and generates a natural atmosphere of love and togetherness then this is definitely the venue for you. Thank you, Maison May!
We couldn't be happier with our choice of wedding venue! Between the classic brownstone look, the intimate feel, the impeccable food and service, and the helpful and kind organizers, it was truly the perfect place for such an important event. We highly recommend this venue for any event!
Such a great space for any celebratory event! Great staff and excellent customer service!

We had our wedding here and it was absolutely perfect! They were incredibly easy to work with leading up to the wedding and day of the big day. Note, we had a smaller wedding (82 people) and wouldn't recommend going any bigger as it would definitely be more cramped. However, for a smaller wedding this space is amazing. Our guests were talking about the food and space for days after the wedding. We had an open bar with his & her drinks and those were also a huge hit. We utilized the garden, downstairs and parlor room upstairs throughout the night to keep an open flow. I would 100% recommend for an intimate Brooklyn wedding. We also had a family brunch here the day after the wedding and again, the service and food did not disappoint!
Came here for a baby shower. The event space on the upper level is small and intimate. The all white makes it very elegant. The food was great and the ladies who served us made is feel welcome.
This venue is perfect for couples that are looking for an intimate space that feels like a beautiful home. The entire team (Claudia, Catherine, Sara) were an absolute pleasure to work with and were very responsive throughout the whole process. The space itself is gorgeous and the food & drinks were delicious. This venue allows for a nearly turn-key experience so that hiring a wedding planner was not necessary for our specific vision.
Thank you, Claudia, Katherine, and team for hosting our wedding! We had a great experience and everyone was accommodating and easy to work with. The food & drinks were great and the servers were friendly. It's a perfect venue for an intimate Brownstone wedding. We hosted 32 guests—any more people, I would suggest hiring a DJ to bring in a more robust sound system and lighting for dancing.
We just had our wedding ceremony and brunch reception at Maison May Dekalb, and we are so happy that we did! The space is elegant and intimate, the food was absolutely delicious, and the team made the day run seamlessly. Proof of vaccination was checked at the door, so everyone felt safe and in good hands. Catherine and Claudia were a joy to work with, and they really made this a wonderful experience, both during the planning and on the day-of. Many of our guests openly told us this was one of their favorite and unique weddings - we couldn’t agree more!
This place hosted my wedding! The food, drinks and service were all perfect. Our servers were so kind and patient. All 48 of us had a great and memorable time.
They also have a cafe around the corner for normal stuff. It's the most peaceful and stylish place in the neighborhood. I just wish the cafe was open at times I could visit after work. I'd definitely stop by often if that was the case.
Wow what a gem! A huge thank you to the entire Maison May team for hosting my bridal luncheon. I have never seen anything more beautiful in my entire life. Truly your venue is so special and the entire bridal luncheon was absolutely the most incredible event I’ve ever been to. Truly. So delicious, elegant, absolutely wonderful and perfect on every way. You and your team are so talented and the space is beautifully curated to be simple and chic and urban and rustic all in one. The food was heavenly and the details in the cocktails and cake all were coordinately brilliantly. I could not be happier and will cherish that experience for the rest of my life. Thank you for helping to make it all happen. What an incredible day! Thank you thank you a million times thank you. I was over the moon happy with the entire Event. It was just perfection all around.
The staff was very friendly & accommodating. This venue is very intimate. There is a back area were the wedding was officiated & a reception/dinning area just down the stairs. The kitchen & bar like area is on the level as well. There is also another dinning/reception on the second floor. Restrooms on both floors. FYI, it can get Hot on the second floor, A/C is not very good. Food was very good, cocktail hour (veggies, cheese, French bread with dipping olive oil). Second course was mix greens with meatballs. Main entree was black rice with veggies, roasted potatoes, cavatelli with pesto sauce & baked chicken. Sorry l didn't get any pics of the food was having too much fun 😉😉
Went here for lunch with a friend during the week.. waitstaff were extremely polite.. simple market fare with french influences.. dishes were presented beautifully , loved the understated Provençal decor. loved the fact the the gratuity was included in the check..communal tables make for a friendly atmosphere. hidden treasure in Fort Greene Brooklyn!
A little gem a few blocks away from the Fort Greene Park. Lovely setting with two communal tables, the service is friendly and very professional, there is a lot of attention to details at every level.
I went there in the afternoon and fell like I escaped to a French house somewhere in the countryside.
I couldn’t help but to have a slice of the exquisite homemade strawberry tart, the fruit and nut cake and the Madeleine.
I will definitely add it to my list of favorite places in the neighborhood.
We shared a family dinner in a private room and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, good service and an abundance of food.

The barista/server (Brittany) is so cute and friendly! She really adds to the welcoming vibe of this place. Great choice for analog/eco conscious folks as laptops and disposables are not allowed here. The pastries and coffee are great, but I'd recommend ordering something from the kitchen if you really want to get the flavor of this place.
I hosted my mom's 60th birthday here for 20 people and we had a wonderful experience. I worked with Claudia who was incredibly organized and very quick to respond, she made planning the event from out-of-state extremely easy; the dinner itself was also very organized and seamless. The room is also warm and beautiful, it required minimal decorations and photographs beautifully. Definitely recommend for private events!!
Came in on Tuesday night for an intimate dinner with my significant other. We were a bit apprehensive at first because there weren't many people in the ground-level dinning area, actually there wasn't anyone but us, but this was due to an event on the second floor. The meal was fantastic, the service was perfect. Great neighborhood spot, reasonably priced, and very romantic.
