Everything about this place it top: Great food, delicious pastries, friendly staff, beautiful natural light, nice area... really the only critique I have is that there is only one table where you can get power for your computer. If you come with your laptop charged however, you’re golden! I suggest the roasted veggie sandwich btw. Fried shallots, baked squash and eggplant, delicious cheese, and pesto. So, so good.

Super friendly, great vibes bakery and coffee shop. The staff, chefs, cooks are the best. Super large array of yummy treats made right there. Fresh. Popular with locals and visitors alike. Make super excellent pies. Great monkey bread and Kouign Amman, too. Good coffee too. Pleasant set of tables and chairs. A favorite!

I've been a few times to Joyce's and it never disappoints. The staff is always friendly and creates a welcoming environment. The most important part, the baked goods, are some of the best around. From their cake to their croissant sandwiches, Joyce does it all well.

This is a very roomy cafe on Vanderbilt Avenue that has good coffee and some vegan treats. They have a bathroom which scores high in my book, because I can actually stay a while and have a coffee!!! Nice decor, great clientele, nice staff . ...and I repeat it’s roomy!!! I love the breathing room which allows for a really cozy visit. I’m glad that there is always a vegan treat or two , but I always wish there were more choices. The treat is consistently good, but not quite the “knockout “ I look for.

Love this place - a real neighborhood cafe :). The staff are super friendly and the coffee is great. The food is delicious! Seriously the pastries are off the hook (try the croissants) and they always have interesting ones like kougin amann. Fall veggie sandwich is so so tasty too. I like that you can see them baking in the back, and their t-shirts are freakin adorable

Cozy & Local. Walked in to get a coffee on my way to Prospect Park. The have legible instructions about social distancing protocols. Only 3 people at a time n side. The Barista was very energetic and chatty, she made my day with her bright energy. I am glad they are still operating. Pistachio and Cherry Scone was soft and tasty. Keep it up!! If you go, tip extra. It must be hard to have to work with a pandemia.. Show some Love!!

Oh Joyce. I love you so. Those buttery croissants. Almost too buttery, and yet just buttery enough. Everything else is always good too. Woopie pies...tarts...I mean...how to choose? Agree with reviewer below tho — not sure why they sell out so fast of the plain and savory croissants so early and don’t make more. Sad.

I ordered a cheesecake for an event from these guys and omg it was the hit of the party! The seasonal option was meyer lemon and it was just the right amount of sweet vs tart, creamy perfection. Ordering was super easy and friendly and pickup was even easier. Highly recommend

Recently had to give up dairy but desperate to not give up my latte! So found Joyce looking for an oatmilk coffee shop and its is more than I could ever ever wanted! Delish oat latte and the most flakey croissant ever. I have found my new coffee stop on the way to work cant wait for tomorrow

Great neighborhood cafe with tasty pastries. Often many kids with exciting energy so not always the best place for heads down work but great for meeting friends.

This is my favorite bakery in the neighborhood. The chocolate chip brioche is good ... almond brioche even better. Skip the scones though. Iced coffee is just right - not too bitter.

I stopped in to buy desert for a job function. I bought a few of every cupcake available and some cookies, it was a hit! My coworkers were happy, lol. Staff is awesome. I will be back and back and back. Thanks Joyce!

We like the coffee there and the line moves briskly. Also note the desserts are a bit eclectic if not alternative, so buyer beware, but in a good way.
