Stopped by for a cold brew on a 95+ degree day and it felt great. The dim lighting and the cool AC was so nice on such a hot day and really helped me to relax.
Cold brew is great and the atmosphere is cool with a bunch of repurposed furniture and light fixtures. A few people had laptops so it seems like the wifi is good enough to get work done.
Just the perfect place to stop for a quick drink or to hang out and chat.
Pros:
The music is QUIET and not top 40 songs. Every person there is quietly working on their laptop. I feel like it’s a place I can actually concentrate and get work done. The cold brew is very good. Coffee in general is good. There are outlets. Prices are as they say they are on the menu board with tax included.
Cons:
By the time I get there in the afternoon they have minimal pastries or bagels left. They have a bathroom but I have to say it’s pretty gross.
Literally the most acidic bitter espresso I’ve ever tasted if you like it like that haha. But the baristas are always 11/10 and the vibes in here for chatting/doing some online work are so cozy :) they have lots of outlets for charging & a ton of great drink options. love this place
Some of the best coffee to grab when getting off the Morgan L, and I'm in a pinch for time. The punch card really had me in a chokehold when I was working in the area. Cream cheese bagel is loaded although pricy, it's New York...I still stop by time to time for a latte. They never have burned my milk for my lattes and that's a huge plus for me.
Soooo hip soooo friendly and I got a raspberry donut and it was sooo fresh and flavorful ! They had dark rye pumpernickel bagels !! The atmosphere is sooo chill
Stopped in to grab coffee and it was a nice shop. Light frills, in the cut style coffee place with delicious lates and reclaimed style wood furniture.
The day we went the fans were going and it had a warm airy vibe to it. I could see it being a nice out of the sun place for people to get work done or chill with some friends. It's cool, but not so cool that you feel uncomfortable.
Definitely enjoyed the designs that engulfed the building - it added to the experience of the place. Stop in and enjoy.
Coffee shops that only accept cash are indicative of a time gone by. I adore this house. I easily got lost in the artwork on the walls. There was NO MUSIC playing. Perfection. The attendant Nikita offered me a pastry for free as they were about to close and there were still a few left. I chose the gluten free iced lemon loaf. I also purchased a cold brew iced coffee which had me humming well into the night. Nikita also told me about thee artist, a puppeteer who was doing a show in October that I might be interested in seeing. I told them I’d bear it in mind and if I was around hopefully be able to check it out. I sincerely recommend this haven of caffeine in Williamsburg.
Went to Swallow Cafe for a latte with almond milk and spent about $6. The atmosphere was quiet, the tables were nice and clean and it was very cool ( temperature ) inside. I enjoyed the latte although it was pricey. The music was good, and the environment was really pretty. The metal seats were a bit uncomfortable though but maybe it's just me. Also, its cash only. Outside was interesting, it almost doesn't look like a cafe at all, just a wall with some art and that was pretty cool. I'd visit again!
Solid coffee, nice people. Cash only
Enjoyable vibe with seating and free wifi access.
Cold brew and a decent pastry cost is $7.50. Cash only. And seats are all unique and some a bit rigid and without cushions in an effort to make the vibe unlike nearby spots. - But still a decent space away from the city chaos, nice AC, music and decent WiFi inside.
Vibrant place. Nice coffee, Zack makes perfect bagels.
Great and friendly atmosphere for Everyone, which is a wonderful thing. simplicity of the menu reflects simplicity with which to take all conversations happening at this cafe… be kind. Wish there were more places like this.
Very cozy place, great to study or work - lots of seating. Cash only (which just screams tax-evasion!) and they clearly know how inconvenient that is for their customers because, almost as an act of pity, they have an ATM next to the register. Staff is not unfriendly, maybe just indifferent - like cats whose kindness feels more rewarding because of its scarcity. I've only been here twice. Food was good for the price, and I can't say anything bad about the coffee - it's certainly caffeinated (which is probably what gave me the energy to write such an unnecessarily long review).
Good coffee in large comfortable kitch space with reclaimed wood furnishings. The pastries were fresh. I enjoyed my spinach, kale and ricotta croissant.
Super cozy coffee spot with a chill vibe, plenty of space to work, and always friendly staff. The Oat Matcha is great!
Cool, comfortable rustic spot with good coffee. Just a bit on the pricier side, and it's cash only. If not for those two things I would give it 5 stars.
