Casual fine dining without being pretentious! Beasts & Bottles has become a favorite of mine over the last few months. Classy and elegant atmosphere, excellent music, an incredibly cool living wall/ceiling installation, all with friendly and attentive service to boot! Great spot for a romantic dinner or first date. Works for larger parties too! The cuisine can be classified most likely as new American, with an emphasis on French rotisserie (they have a cool rotisserie complete with flames in the back adding to the ambiance.) I thoroughly enjoy the Smoked Long Island Duck almost every time, but the rotisserie chicken options, especially the Truffled Chicken for 2, are also home runs! The risotto appetizer is also highly recommended. As far as drinks go there is definitely an emphasis on wine (the wine list has a table of contents it's so extensive!) I have learned that one of the owners is the ONLY Master Sommelier operating in Brooklyn! They also have a super knowledgeable and friendly floor Somm to help guide you through this extensive wine options. While the wine is great, the rest of the beverages are also on point with an eclectic variety of craft cocktails, spirits, beers, and after dinner drinks. Try Ginger Rogers! Can't Recommend this place any higher! Check it out.

We went here for Father's Day brunch. Food and drinks were delicious and the staff is very friendly. My husband had fried chicken and gravy which he raved about. The French toast is very good. We all had a sampling of desserts which were yummy. Nice selection of cocktails - I had the cucumber agave. We'll be back for dinner!

Consistantly exceptional, rich fare from one of the best chefs in Brooklyn and a staff that are unpretentious yet informed... Buzzing with life, refreshing, and chill... Kinda like eating at your rich friends' vacation house.

I hadn't been to Beasts And Bottles since it opened and was pleasantly surprised. Not blown away but dinner was tasty. We had a decent if not inspired endive salad. I really liked the duck with the dates and chestnuts. It reminded me a little of BBQ. My boyfriend enjoyed the fried chicken although he didn't love the Mac and cheese. The Brussels sprouts seemed over fried, but they were still good to eat. Oh, and I rolled my eyes over my boyfriend ordering the milk and cookies, but I had to eat my attitude... and drown it in milk. They're good! We sat at the bar which I'd recommend over sitting at one of the pokey tables in the window. It was our bartender's first day and he was earnest and charming and took great care of us.

was there yesterday, everything was very great. had pork shank and smoked duck for main and 3 appetizer: inked squid, scallops and octopus. squid was our favorite - but all of them were nicely presented and perfectly prepared. pork was pretty good sized and falling off the bone. will definitely be back for more !

Really great atmosphere and decor. Coffee was delicious; the rest of the food was good but nothing particularly spectacular. In particular, I ordered the thick cut bacon and it was definitely your regular cut bacon. Tasted good, but not the same thing, of course. Spent 50 dollars for 2 people, which is about par for the course for NYC brunch.

We have been here for both dinner and brunch. For dinner we had the chicken rotisserie (truffled Sassoon chicken) after having the bone marrow. All I can say this place is top quality and their service is exceptional! For brunch, my wife had a delicious grass-fed burger and I had the buttermilk fried chicken waffle. They even have a sommelier!!! My favorite in Brooklyn at the moment!

My third time here. Doesn't disappoint with great selection of wine, heritage chicken and cocktails. Friendly informed service. Only wish truffle chicken was available for one.

Great experience. Service was attentive. Decor was lovely. I was to hungry to remember to take pics of the food. The Food was tasty. The homemade bread is fantastic. The smoke duck is smokey and flavorful. Drinks are creative and tasty. My critic would be of the braised octopus. It good but octopus should be great. It really needs a kiss on the Grill to get to that point. I would visit again.

Very good food and great atmosphere. We got bread (highly recommend - served warm!), cheese plate, trout, duck (perfectly seared), broccoli rabe, and a few cocktails. All were excellent. Space is also super cool. We sat by the plant wall (real plants!) Be careful how you order, however, because it’s a little pricey for the portion sizes and all of those sides/ appetizers can easily add up to a large bill. Happy hour before 7 pm at the bar is a good deal.
