been going here ever since my staple sushi place closed in the beginning of the year. have been satisfied 100% of the time. they seem to be very good about not cross contaminating food. take out only though no not for in available.
Definitely a good sushi place in the area, prices are very accessible, portions are big, service is nice. It can take some time to get your order but definitely worth it. My recommendation is to bring cash, prices are cheaper if you pay in cash. I would recommend it to my friend and I would absolutely go again. In the photo you can see the signature Sushi Gallery Roll
As an avid sushi eater, Sushi Gallery is hands down my mew favorite place to order sushi from. My family and I ordered a few special rolls as well as sushi and sashimi. They have the freshest fish! Every bite was so delicious and satisfying. The price was also amazing for quality sushi. The couple that owns the store are so lovely as well. Highly highly recommend if you are in the area!
This place is amazing. 100% consistent with fresh and HUGE cuts of fish. I keep over ordering because compared with other sushi restaurants the cuts are just that much bigger. I still manage to eat everything ;) Completely worth leaving the apartment, and nice to support a restaurant in the Clark St Station while the MTA slugs along with their repairs.
Delicious really wanna go back. It's a great mom and pop shop that people should give a try perfect for a date or to hang out with a friend.
One of the best hidden gems in NYC! My friends and I have been loyal to Sushi Gallery since day 1 and 8 years later I'm still a regular. The two owners work so hard and put so much care into their process.
The best sushi in Brooklyn and its not even close.
The food was quite nice and very large portions. The fish was fresh and tasty. The rice isnt sushi rice but all in all the food was good and flavoursome.
A really sweet mom and pop operation.
Its only 2 people running the restaurant, from taking orders to making the sushi etc.
So be patient if the restaurant is busy.
I have been coming to Sushi Gallery since I used to live in Brooklyn Heights back in 2005. I live in Bed Stuy now, and I still come back to Sushi Gallery because I love the owners, and it's family owned. They always remember me. They are like my sushi family ❤️
quality fresh sushi for reasonable price. loved the cozy atmosphere!
The best sushi spot in nyc! Everything is delicious with unbelievably fresh fish and perfectly made sushi. Good people running this neighborhood mom and pop restaurant. Everything is delicious, even the seaweed salad is better than any other spot.
I decided to go here after visiting the Brooklyn Bridge Park. A very cosy spot for some decently priced sushi. I would recommend their volcano roll and their spicy tuna roll (I'm a spicy sushi fan clearly). The rolls weren't spicy, but still pretty solid if you're craving sushi in the area. The service was wonderful!
It's a nice small place that always has fresh sushi; my favorite is the spicy tuna and salmon skin. On top of that, they're nice people who always remember you. However, during Friday and Saturday night they can get quite busy.
I ordered edamame as an appetizer and a spicy tuna roll and a salmon roll. The spicy tuna was a touch too spicy for me, but it was overall very tasty. I would just ask for it without the extra sauce on the top. The salmon roll was virtually flavorless. I suppose I prefer salmon sushi over a roll. Also, I do not generally like it when the nori is on the outside of the roll.
I live down the street, but I will definitely go back and try out other treats on their menu. It was worth it.
I didn't have high expectations walking in because it was such a tiny, dark, and old place. But the food, ingredients, and the care used in prep was really heartening. Also the amount of food that they gave for the price was amazing NY
