This place appears really boring but the food is actually really good and if the older guy makes your coffee drink, it's perfect. Being friendly goes a long way here. It's warm and there's WiFi and usually never too crowded + outdoor seating. It's a neighborhood staple.
Lovely place - cozy, beautiful inside and outside, good coffee & cookies. Location is awesome - just on opposite side of the Prospect Park & next to F train (15 Street - Prospect Park). Just one concern - service is a little bit slow.

Always a nice treat to walk up to on a Sunday early morning, very very friendly staff who are helpful and kind. Also nice that you have seating outside in the front.
The coffee is pretty mediocre, like everything in NYC it's disgustingly overpriced. I don't mind that the employees aren't trying to be friendly, I don't like being nice to all the entitled park slope trust fund babies either.
Great coffees and latees. There are a few loaf snacks I would steer clear of. But the crossoints and baked goods are usually fresh and always good. The service is fast and hospitable.

Excellent choice of freshly baked goodies, with gluten-free alternatives (Magic bar, and corn muffins).
Make sure to try their House Blend coffee either iced or hot with your choice of milk!!! (Oat, Almond, Soy for non dairy!!)

Terrific coffee, almond croissants, nice people. And excellent muffins, of course. Lots of other yummy breakfast & lunch items too.
