The food was awesome. I wanted to buy the black volcanic bowl that the salsa dip that was brought out with the chips to take back home to Gallup, New Mwxico. My trip to New York was awesome and the food here was great.😋❤️👍🏻

They have great drink specials and delicious tacos. I love the chorizo tacos. I also suggest their brunch it's amazing.
My go to Mexican grocery/bodega. Also a restaurant next door, but I haven’t tried it yet.
México 2000 is a perfect place to eat and enjoy an amazing time

I was staying down the street at the hostel and decided to stop in because I am always on the lookout for good Mexican food and it looked inviting inside. Boy, am I glad I did.
I sat at the bar and was greeted by Sergio, who, it turned out, is the owner. He was filling in behind the bar because the regular girl was sick.
Immediately, I felt at home and Sergio treated me like family. He made sure my Tecate was ice cold, and when I inquired about chile rellenos, he fixed me up with the best plate ever. Everything was fresh and authentic.
The atmosphere is nice and the prices are more than reasonable. I talked with Sergio for quite a while. He asked me about my life, and I told him how I was a freelance writer taking a break, and that I had just ridden the train up from Florida and was about to board the Queen Mary 2 in the morning, bound for England. He then told me about his life, how he had emigrated from Mexico as a child and had worked for many years in restaurants before saving enough to open his own. A true American success story.
I came in a stranger, but I left feeling like family. The food was fantastic, but what I will always remember was making a new friend. I'll be back next month after I return from England and can't wait to try the tamales!
Delicious food for an affordable price. Love the happy hour special. The margaritas hit! Good sauce on the side to bring up the spice level. Nice outdoor seating.
Raining all day but still wanted to have a little birthday dinner, waitress was great and on top of us, food was good had the fish tacos & I believe the women was the manger who brought this out and sang too me plus a shot ! had a good time.
Delicious drinks and food. A little price but worth it. Service is also great and quick. Frozen drinks is perfect for summer.

Nachos : fresh ingredients, right amount of toppings and the nacho chips is so crunchy and delicious I almost finished everything 🤣 this nachos is with chicken. Good to share for two.
Esquites : corn with spicy mayo, chili, cheese on the top. Delicious and good to share for two.
Chicken Burrito : good portions for two. Delicious and fresh ingredients.

Love this place !! Literally been there 4 times and never disappointed! Great staff !great ambiance . Very much underrated!. Definitely recommend my favorite the steak with rice and beans and steak tacos for appetizers.
it was a late night and we wanted Mexican food to satisfy our appetite.. friends head to this restaurant and had great food with amazing service. Food was prepared on order and fresh. Good food, excellent service, cold beer and amazing friends made the experience great.
Glad they re-opened their outdoor space in the back. It’s very rare that you get exactly what you’re craving, and Mexico 2000 came through! Everything was delicious and fresh. The garnish on the margs is always a nice touch. Would’ve taken more pics, but was too busy eating all the things.

Super chill little place right near the Hewes Street station on the J/M line. Call ahead and make reservations and sit in the back in an awesome outdoor patio with candles, string lights and nice wooden tables. Makes you forget you're in south Williamsburg. The mango mojito is excellent as was the tamarind margarita. The food is great, guacamole was on point, mussels were cooked perfectly. Definitely a nice place for a date or hanging with the crew.
Best burrito I've had in this city since Lucha Lucha closed! Hot sauce was spicy and sweet. Structural integrity left something to be desired, but it was a great and well put together burrito plate. We got carnitas, chicken, chorizo, and steak in a variety of dishes for take out; all were very well done.
Went on a Wednesday night after work, and it was pretty empty. Happy hour was going on which I loved and the food was affordable. Got mojitos and sangrias for $7 each. Food was well prepared. No complains here.
Happy hour has great deals. The staff is great and the chorizo taco is to die for. If you like spicy Mexican food this is the place. If you don't like spicy they probably have something for you too.
Great service, Miguel was a great host and we ate the best Mexican food.

Very good burrito and tacos. Plenty of space and good music. The service we had wasn't great and generally nothing too special about the place but it worked for a neighborhood dinner.

Food was tasty and well prepared. Guacamole was freshly made and delicious. Only negative was automatic 18% gratuity on food check for 2 people.
The food is delicious and in quality portions. Definitely had to take home some. The appetizers were flavorful. Stuffed plantain ...a 10 out of 10. Ambience is that of a night out, date or bar hopping for food and drinks. Staff is very friendly.
