Nice place. I had hamburger steak. Good, but nothing special. Mashed potatoes were instant which I hate but was tolerable at this place. If nearby, I might eat here again, it was certainly decent. 3spoons.
THE GUMBO ..HAVE MERCY.. On cold winter days or when I'm not feeling so great....I always call in my order for chicken and sausage gumbo. You just CAN'T beat their gumbo like my grandmother makes it with the old fashion roux taste. C'est bon! You get rice on the side, hearty size chicken breast, potato salad/bun ...under $10. It's like a piece of heaven when I go through drive-thru. If you are hungry for HOMECOOKING..look no further.
Great food!!! Home cooked. Don't like the gumbo but EVERYTHING else is excellent! Great onion rings.

Been living here for 17 years and this place hands down has THE best burger in all of Lafayette. Their breakfast is awesome as well. Staff is all very friendly, and you can tell they all work great together. Highly recommend them to try!
My most recent visit changed everything! Service was outstanding, and food was delicious! They will literally customize your plate to your liking, as long as you do not mind waiting.

Great place to meet up with friends, great food, and great people working there. They even have dog treats if you're going thru the drive-through.
Very homey environment walking in the door. I ordered a grilled shrimp salad and onion rings. Both were delicious and very fresh.

It’s a third-generation family-owned-&-operated small business with a small-town vibe & kind service to compliment its warm comfort-food. 👍

Friendly, fast, and you get nice size portions for the amount you pay. Can't comment on the atmosphere because I always order for pick up and haven't dined in.
I enjoyed the food quite a bit and the staff were very kind and helpful. I didn't have a very long wait time either.
As a bonus, it seems like everyone in there, customers and staff alike, we're just generally kind people. If you need a quick breakfast and coffee, this is the place to be.
The only reason I am giving this particular establishment a 4 instead of 5 is food quality. The food is really good, don't get me wrong, but as a comparison to other plate lunch establishments it could be better. That being said the workers are ALWAYS super nice when I visit for lunch. They have really good country fried steak, pork chops, and their chili dogs are delicious too.
Give that staff a raise. Food and service was great today! Try that Chicken Fried Chicken 🐔 😉
Ton's is an icon in Broussard. Their food is good. Their prices are a little steep for what it is, but that is indicative of many locally owned restaurants in this economy. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is definitely what you would expect in South Louisiana , warm and hospitable.

If you want to taste your mommas home cooking, stop here at Tons. They have all of the favorite foods you grew up eating with your family. I got the Baked chicken plate with fried okra and potato salad and it not only smelled so good but was delicious too. Every mouth- watering bite of the chicken and rice was like tasting my childhood all over again. I highly recommend eating here and bringing your whole family for some true southern home-cooked food.

Ok so I would've had five stars but the coleslaw is definitely a no go BUT!! The customer service was amazing, the shrimp was delicious, and the sweet tea is definitely what you expect from the deep south. My Finance has the chicken and rice dressing she said it was delicious. So all around it's fantastic, just not getting coleslaw again lol!
The food speaks for itself and the staff is excellent! Never disappointed!
This is great little restaurant, with plenty of local history. This is kind of like Cajun soul food at this restaurant. We enjoyed everything that we had on this visit, it was absolutely very delicious. Sorry I didn’t take any pictures, I was too busy enjoying my food.
