I Took the family today for dinner. We went our way from Starr County to see what the Vermillion had to offer and it didn't disappoint! The ceviche was great and the Mexican food was on point. The service was top notch! We go to Brownsville 3-5 times a year just to venture out of our area and we are definitely eating there from now on. Ohh, and I forgot to mention the prices are very reasonable.

Best nachos on the planet. Pricey but the best costs more. We don't mind paying extra when you get the best!!!

We were in Brownsville, doing some "time wasting"before having to head to the Harlington airport. Ended up at the Vermillion almost by mistake. What an AWESOME MISTAKE. Place was busy because of Mothers day. We sat at the bar where a very delightful Tammy served us. Drinks were cold. Tammy was funny and the food was so good and resonable. I had shrimp tacos. Shrimp were very fresh. Was served with a bowl of the best bean soup I have ever had. Enchiladas were huge and yummy. Great food all around. Check it out if you are in the area.

The Pancho Villa Plate is amazing. My go to place for the best enchiladas ever. The home made chili is one of a kind. Love love love the V!

Exactly as advertised! Not fancy, but good. The service was very friendly and helpful with menu items and bevies. Casual atmosphere. Recommend for TexMex. Fajitas were yummy! But then they are one of my favourite foods.

First time I’ve eaten here and greatly enjoyed the experience. Martin, our server, was pleasant, patient, and efficient. Other staff were also pleasant and welcoming. My beef fajita nachos were delicious. Note: cocktails not available, only beer and wine. This restaurant is a well-known eatery in Brownsville that began as a hamburger joint in 1934.

The atmosphere was great. We went on a Sunday for Brunch and it wasn’t super packed. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We ordered the Fajita Nachos and Ceviche. Both were awesome. The fajita nachos had cheese on every nacho and plenty of steak to last the entire meal. The ceviche tasted amazing. If you love a strong lime-y flavor, this is the ceviche for you. Additionally, the accommodations for my shellfish allergy were taken seriously, and by my lack of a reaction, their food handling is up to par. Definitely recommend visiting Vermillion ❤️

Very good dinner for two of us last night. Chips and salsa were excellent- fresh made chips and a warm salsa that was delicious and spicy. Our meals were very good, too. I had the Surf & Turf fajitas. Both the steak and shrimp were ample and tasty. Service was good. Would easily return here if back in Brownsville. Great decision.

Food and service weer very good at this location . It was my first time to the spot and the reviews seemed solid so I pulled up . Salsa and chips have to be ordered so please expect this . Had the shrimp tacos. Shrimp were fresh never frozen and so crispy but melt in your mouth . Quality is amazing and the sauce they add aside is wonderful .

You can’t go wrong going to the Vermillion. Food is always good and the service excellent as well. Headed back again to dine there today. Try the Pancho Villa, it’s outstanding and the fajita nachos with avocados are a must. Thank you Vermillion for all of the years providing tasty meals to your customers.

The waiter was attentive, friendly, and very helpful. Our drinks were kept full. My fajita steak was very tender and tasty. The menu had a lot to offer. There was easy access to parking lot from freeway outer road and lots both in front and behind the building. There is a bicycle path alongside the west side of the building that goes from Palo Alto Battle Field to Downtown Brownsville so this is an easy stop while out riding. There is also bicycle parking by the front door

Shared a Tampiqueña and a side of guac/chips with the wife. Plenty of food for both of us. Great food, great service and the BL was ice cold.....11-9-22 stopped in for a snack, saw something new. Prime rib nachos, same concept as the fajita nachos but but I found them better tasting. Absolutely delicious. How did you make nachos better????, eat em with steak..... Definitely have them again,/ 6-6-2023 stopped in for dinner. Had the Pancho villa, wife had the fajitas Monterrey. Absolutely delicious, very well served, had to get a to go box. Definitely be back

Had the chicken fried steak and the Hamburger steak lunch plates. The chicken fried steak was really good. The hamburger steak wasn't bad but for me it was drenched in to much gravy. I should have asked for it on the side. I have also had their Pancho's and shrimp cocktail and both were really good.

The food was delicious. The service was quick and constantly good. We ordered the ceviche tacos and the fish tacos and we loved each bite. Every taco was generously filled and the sides went perfectly with each taco. The side of beans that came with the fish taco were flavorful and memorable. Parking is a little tight but totally worth it.

My first time visiting and I loved it. The food was great, the drinks were refreshing, in the service without standing. Plus, this place supports touch tunes, so I was able to play some of my favorite music while dining with friends

Simply the best restaurant in the area. How this place isn't packed every night is beyond me. We were in the area for five nights and ate here four of those nights. Incredible food, great atmosphere, and even better staff.
