What can I say! This place definitely lived up tot he hype. Classic rustic feel on the inside, nice park benches set up on the outside. The food was ready quick, and I was recommended what to get as a first timer with a budget and a date lol. The 3 meat option with 2 sides and 2 drinks which only ca
Finally made it to this BBQ joint. The Brisket is moist not dry. Good smokey mesquite ring, nice flavor, but not overly done. Nice Texas Hill Country atmosphere.
First time Glenn and I have been here and we have found our bbq place. Excellent brisket and the ribs fall off the bones. Outside dining, football on the Tv , clean and seems to be well run. Friendly staff is always a plus. We will be back!
Just awesome make sure to leave room for desert the banana pudding was to die for cool, sweet, and delicious
This place is awesome and food is delicious. I've had the sausage sandwich and the chopped brisket sandwich on 2 separate occasions, and the meat was super moist. Had the Mac & and cheese, and it was amazing. What I am disappointed in is that they run out of food 😕. So get there early!
Decided to go with the pulled pork and brisket 2 meat plate. Brisket was moist and tender. Pork was equally as good. The side were good as well Overall highly recommend. Prices are fair and the staff is very helpful. Come early the do sale out.
This place was the best experience I've had in a bbq place in a good while. Great filling food and the atmosphere was awesome.
Good food. 80's atmosphere when I went. If you like BBQ it's a most visit.
Great food, drinks, and exceptional services. Perfect vibes for the great outdoors of South Texas. Highly recommended
Amazing experience trying this place out. We tried the ribs, chopped brisket, jalapeno cheddar sausage, corn pudding and coleslaw. Liked every single part of our plates and experience. Definitely can't wait to go back and visit!
Family wanted BBQ while in Brownsville, a quick google search and we ended up at 1848 BBQ. Pleasant staff, food was great, and the environment was comforting.
I'll Start with the arrival.. doesn't look like much from the outside, but then again,, what bbq joint does? Clean. As I walked in I was greeted by one person, girl with glasses,I didn't catch her name. The aroma in there was so natural of good bbq that I was almost excited to try it.. I got in lin

They sell out quick. Great brisket. All the food is delicious. Great experience but recommend going earlier in the day as they can run out early
We are from Missouri, and can say that 1848’s BBQ rivals what you’d find in Kansas City or St Louis. The moist brisket was perfect, nice smoke ring and melt in your mouth tender. The pulled pork had a nice bark and great flavor, not dried out. Their coleslaw was a welcome change from what we find lo
