My wife and I have been to two Moonlight Dinners and both far exceeded any expectations we had. After making the easy drive in from Houston we enjoyed a great tour of the farm and even better cuisine. The nine course meal was outstanding, the fresh ingredients and expertise behind the knife enhanced the flavor of each course.
If you're hesitant about the location it was a very easy, scenic drive in (at least from Houston---1hr30min-45min) and we inadvertently realized it serves as an excellent midway point between Austin, Houston & Dallas. We're currently coordinating a weekend trip to meet college friends from Dallas & Austin on the farm for a moonlight dinner.
One of the minor details that I enjoyed about the experience were the chimineas. At the most recent dinner the weather was chilly, however the dining areas are surrounded by multiple, intricately designed chimineas that kept the entire area heated & comfortable. The sound of a crackling fire throughout the meal was pretty relaxing. I asked Brian, the owner & kitchen ninja, about them and he told me they were purchased from a local seller just down Hwy 6. I love the fact that Ronin supports local Texas businesses.
We will definitely be back and have a handful of friends signed up for future dinners. Definitely recommend to anyone in the Houston/Austin/Dallas areas in search of a relaxing weekend away or just looking for a unique dining experience. Thanks Amanda & Brian for cooking this concept up!
I love this place!! From the amazing renovations to the menu! The staff are all so friendly, welcoming and professional. If you have not been, you are missing out on a very special experience. We met a friend there last Friday night and just sat at the bar chatting with the bartenders and other staff, our plan was a few glasses of wine and their amazing souffle but ended up adding a plate of the pork ribs, we couldn't resist! Can't wait to see what's on the menu next.
Made it to the Grand Opening a little late. The crowd was dressed to the nines, and standing around with cocktails in hand, on the porch and in the different rooms. Elegant waitstaff walked through with appetizers (although not as frequently as my hungry stomach would have liked). The appetizers were delicious, and the bar manager did a great job suggesting a drink.
Brian and Amanda and team did a great job restoring the building and keeping it's character. The tables on the pulley were amazing!
So excited that BCS has an elegant farm to table restaurant!

Sunday brunch was amazing! The venue is beautiful, the staff attentive and friendly. And the food was outstanding.
Wonderful & exciting night! We didn't get to sample everything but what we did have was fabulous!! Looking forward to the opportunity to experience the full deal!! The BCS area needs a new restaurant, one that offers a variety not just the regular typical menu. I love the direction Brian & Amanda have taken with both of their locations, they definitely offer a unique experience, food and hospitality that you don't get anywhere else! Excellent job Brian, Amanda and team!!

We had a great experience from expert guidance on wine, sherry and beer at the bar, to a tour of the new digs to the most delicious lamb I have ever accompanied by beautiful,very fresh, vegetable dishes. The ambience is great the staff the friendliest you will find. I expect we will have many great meals there in the future.

Amanda & Brian truly hit it out of the park! Great atmosphere and super fun spot to have an adult beverage! That’s what we did last night - 1st Friday! Can’t wait for Sunday brunch!

Ronin Cooking was extraordinary for our wedding. They catered both our rehearsal dinner and wedding, and the food was decadent! I heard non stop compliments on the food both nights. The whole staff was so helpful, and despite a few hiccups in my wedding plans the day before my wedding, Ronin worked by our side the whole time and really helped give us an incredible experience. Amanda did an a fantastic job with excellent communication, and really sought out the details to have a shared vision. Brian is a super talented chef, and when I told him I am gluten and lactose intolerant, it was no problem for him. He made me some of the most delicious dinners I have ever tasted!!
My husband and I felt really cared for and loved by the staff, and we are so thankful. I am beyond pleased to have worked with Ronin, and can only state that I think every bride would be wise to hire Ronin Cooking! Thank you!
Brian's Cooking is ...well ...amazing, offers an explosion of delight on the palate no matter one is trying. Amanda is simply the most gracious of hostesses. The pair-can't be beat in their offerings of one of a kind, unduplicatable dinners.
You are missing one of the best food experiences and memorable evenings if you don't try one of their Farm to Market dinners....

Ronin was the venue for our daughter's wedding -January 14. The setting was perfect & with beautiful weather, we enjoyed a sumptuous meal in the woods with family & friends. Guest comments were so positive about the fresh & Organic salad, grilled chicken & roasted vegetables! Amanda & Brian were excellent hosts with Kathryn as coordinator. My Austin daughter was impressed- & that says a lot!! Judy W & Peter H.
