Macleod's Restaurant - Bucksport - Photo album

Wow, what a great place. The hours are a bit weird here. They had signs on the front door that really turned me off (something about limited help) but I decided to give it a try anyway and am glad I did. See the photos - nice salad with split pea & ham soup with bread and then meatloaf, green bea
We were staying in Bucksport and just happened to give this place a try. Service, food and atmosphere was excellent. We ate there a second time during the week we were there. It was just as good if not better.
Local reviewer - I drive by MacLeod's every week. I've eaten there maybe 5-6 times and have never been disappointed. Solid menu choices, typically leaning towards seafood but also sprinkled with other faves...French onion soup, Mac-and- Cheese, steaks, ribs, etc. Attentive service, fully stocked bar
Cannot say enough great things about this little spot. The night we went they were very short staffed, but everyone was hustling and trying their best to provide the best possible experience to their clientele. And they did. The waitress was sweet as can be, the manager was candid about the wait but

We just left after having our anniversary dinner here and I honestly cannot think of anything remotely negative to say. The staff that we interacted with were all friendly and informative and quick! Food and drinks came out in a timely fashion, tasted great, and were definitely worth the prices (inc
