Cannot rave enough about our dinner and the customer service tonight. I loved everything we had. The waitress, Kristen and her partner, Johnny were incredible. We didn't want for anything. The haddock chowder was delightful. First course was delicious warm bread (not from a bag)! I had chicken nachos as my main course and they were a tad burnt. I asked for chips and instead they made me a whole new order. That was above and beyond. My family had the scallops which were divine. The sides were also tasty. I loved the wide selection of nonalcoholic drinks like the Italian sodas. I tried the blood orange soda. My nephews have dairy allergies and they were very accommodating. Two in our party are also gluten free. The service, prices and the food was impeccable. We will be repeat customers. I've been before and have never had a bad meal here. Outstanding desert selection. Great for groups. Fabulous drink menu. Amazing for groups.

Amazing food and waite staff! My wife and I came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and they went above and beyond what was needed. Food was perfect, and some of the best I have ever had. I highly recommend this for all my friends and family.

One of the first places I stop when I visit Maine is MacLeod’s. The food is fantastic, the wait-staff always knows the menu inside and out, and the management/ owners are exceptional people. Try the Tomato Bisque!

Yesterday was my first time at MacLeod's. The food was most delicious. I had the Thai dish and loved how fresh it was. There were 12 in our party, we ordered a variety of menu items, and we had great service. No question about it, I will be returning to Mac Leod's!!

It was so crowded we chose to eat at the bar instead of wait for a table. My husband had the salmon cakes and I had tomato bisque soup and chicken piccata. The food was great and so was the service in spite of the crowd.

Wow, what a great place. The hours are a bit weird here. They had signs on the front door that really turned me off (something about limited help) but I decided to give it a try anyway and am glad I did. See the photos - nice salad with split pea & ham soup with bread and then meatloaf, green beans and mashed potatoes. I remember asking for the beans to be cooked well as most places serve beans too raw (in my opinion) and they actually cooked them a bit longer for me! Great service and super food. Highly recommend you try this place. After my meal I did ask about the signs and they said that they get busy on the weekends so if you think they might be busy, call ahead and see what they say.

We were staying in Bucksport and just happened to give this place a try. Service, food and atmosphere was excellent. We ate there a second time during the week we were there. It was just as good if not better.

Local reviewer - I drive by MacLeod's every week. I've eaten there maybe 5-6 times and have never been disappointed. Solid menu choices, typically leaning towards seafood but also sprinkled with other faves...French onion soup, Mac-and- Cheese, steaks, ribs, etc. Attentive service, fully stocked bar, small town vibe.

Cannot say enough great things about this little spot. The night we went they were very short staffed, but everyone was hustling and trying their best to provide the best possible experience to their clientele. And they did. The waitress was sweet as can be, the manager was candid about the wait but working diligently, handling many roles. Give everyone a raise. 5 stars ten times over.

The fish tacos are my absolute favorite. My husband goes just for the French onion soup and my kiddo loves the ribs. All of us enjoy their various specials they serve throughout the year. It’s our go to celebration restaurant. Thanks MacLeods for being there to help us make family memories.

Great place in the quaint little town of Bucksport. We ate here 2 of the 3 nights we were in town. We would have dined there all 3 nights but they were closed Sunday. All the food we had was excellent as was the presentation. The sweet and sour collard greens are to die for! The service was friendly and top notch. The atmosphere was comfortable and the location was perfect since we were staying across the street at the Fort Knox Park Inn. Due to being short staffed, reservations are required. This restaurant is a must if you're staying in the area or just passing through.

Best scallops we’ve had in Maine. Tender, buttery, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The seafood chowder was light, not thickened to a paste, with abundant fish and not overwhelmed by potatoes. It could have used a bit more salt but that was easily remedied. Service was exceptional, friendly and efficient. One of the most pleasant experiences we’ve had eating in Bucksport!

Very fine place to eat. Enjoy the seventy music, was great. Got to see a couple in their senior years for a first date I believe. My feelings might not work out. But I hope it will. Cherish a very good dinner with the wife. Starting a new adventure, and this meal was a great start. Sorry got a picture of dessert only. Meatloaf was great.

We just left after having our anniversary dinner here and I honestly cannot think of anything remotely negative to say. The staff that we interacted with were all friendly and informative and quick! Food and drinks came out in a timely fashion, tasted great, and were definitely worth the prices (included in pictures)! Highly recommend! And to the lady who recommended for me to try the Manhattan, thank you! It was fantastic and I hope you see this so you know I enjoyed it!
